  • In this video, I review the Casio G-Shock GA-B 2100-1A Watch. Based on the extremely popular GA-2100 “Casioak” watch, the GA-B2100 adds more advanced and practical features like Solar charging, auto time setting, and Bluetooth phone connection. In this video I go over some of the changes and features from the standard watch. I also go in-depth on how the watch works with the companion Casio Watches App that gives you lots of control of the watch with your smartphone via Bluetooth connection. I also go over some need to know how to methods to ensure that your watch connects to you smartphone constantly so you get the most that this watch has to offer.
    I go over some of the features like alarms, stopwatch, world time, reminders, auto time set, Solar charge level and more.
    If you like content like this, I suggest you subscribers more years to come and give the video I like is it really helps. Thanks for your viewership!
    Peace ✌️

    I think you might be confused about multi-band. Multiband watches often "sync up" at night because radio waves propagate better at night. It has nothing to do with "less" or "more" radio frequencies at a certain time. The atomic radio time signal is continuously sent; they reach farther when there is less solar activity. Depending on where you are and local topography / housing location, it may be difficult to get the time to sync. I have a Casio Waveceptor that never captures the time signal in my apartment; I have to go outside and manually initiate a time sync late at night. The signal originates from Colorado, so the closer you are to there, the better.

    I just ordered this, it will be my first g shock. I think it is a really nice looking watch. The only thing I would change is that I wish it didn't show the bluetooth logo on the dial, and I kind of like the way the previous version showed the day of the week on the left. I am excited to get mine and try it out!

      Definitely miss the dial on the left indicating the day of the week. But overall I just got mine and I love it so far, the positive display is so easy to see. Really dig the color scheme as well. I had the older all black GA2100 and as much as I love it it’s damn near impossible to tell the time since it has a negative display and it’s all black, it sure as hell looks cool tho.

    I have the model in this video as well as the yellow. It's very comfortable and great that it now has solar charging. I have three criticisms regarding the Ga2100s. The tiny text under the lcd panel is absolutely pointless as it's unreadable without a magnifying glass and the lcd panel itself is quite small. It's not completely useless but even with my perfect eyesight, not the easiest to read. Thankfully both mine have positive displays. The negative display models are useless. Lastly, the battons are a little too muted on most models. My brother has the blacked out 'Stealth' model and everything on the dial is difficult to read.

So, while on a LCD, only Casio in the dark, you can only tell the time by pushing the button, on this analog watch, you can still tell the time by the Lume and the illuminator just helps you see the LCD display or have a more clear idea of what the time is if you’re having trouble reading the Lume.

    About the Bluetooth issue with an iPhone… Having to regularly “kill” apps by swiping them up and out is a big myth! There was an interview some years ago where the Apple team was explaining how it was designed to never have to do that. Personally, I’ve always expected my iPhone to work fine without never killing any app except when I specifically wanted to, and it has always been working flawlessly, top speed, top battery usage etc. with constantly tons of apps open (I also avoid installing dubious apps). And it’s been two years since my g-shock gw-b5600 with Bluetooth link has kept syncing fine with my phone (about 50% of the time, but without needing to restart the app all the time). Hope that helps! 😉

      So the GA-B2100 show in this video doesn’t have any exercise specific features. However, 2 models that do offer step counts and other exercises features are the GBA900 and the GBD200. The GBA is an analog digital watch like the 2100 shown in this video. The GBA is a tad larger in size though. While the GBD is a lovely size and shape that closely matches the classic “G-Square” GW-5000. The GBD200 is great because it has a full digital display that shows much more information than the analog. It also comes in a variety of fun and playful colors. Mmmm! Mine arrived today and it's very nice. At long last Casio allow owners of their watches to choose date formats - either Month then Day or Day then Month as in most of the world except the USA. That's my favourite feature so hopefully Casio will include this option on ALL future watch releases. What I DON'T like is the way that although my watch model has a positive display which can actually be read without a searchlight pointed at it, the printing on the mode dial is virtually unreadable unless in an environment with a a high level of lighting. It drives me mad to have to find a suitable light source when indoors just so I can read the damned thing! Also the registering of the watch before it could be paired with my smartphone was a real pain and is just not necessary. I have a metal G-Shock with bluetooth connectivity and it works fine with the G-Shock app without needing to be registered so why do I have to register this - much cheaper - watch?

      In principle, I do agree. However in usage, it is still very capable to tell the time in low light and at night. The hands are big and you can tell easy enough what time it is, even if it’s the middle of the night and you’re half asleep in my experience. I would also say that you would probably be waiting indefinitely. I don’t believe Cassio is going to make wo the the invis, especially because there are so many aftermarket options that work with their watches that if somebody wants it, they probably expect the consumer to purchase and install those things. I’ve personally would say go for it and if after a week or so you still don’t think the lume is good enough, then you can get a Lumed indices insert and install it within 10 minutes or less.

    - small buttons, hard to set up, small display (hard to read date and month, prefer seconds on bottom of the display, not up, manual with small fonts, alarm only 10 seconds)

      Bluetooth has to be enabled in the phone and the app left open. If you hold the bottom right for 5-7 seconds it connects the watch to your phone and initiates the calling procedures.

    The Bluetooth time keeping really isn't designed to be used every single day. The watch +/- 15 seconds over a full month. Thats negligible, not noticable... No one will use that feature everyday. It really is meant to be used after a period of time has passed.

      I don’t think so. I think all the hard to operate things have be massive simplified with the companion app. For example. If you want to set an alarm tomorrow but don’t want to have to spend 10 minutes on it. Simply hold the mode button for five seconds, open the app, go to alarms, toggle it on. Just as complicated as setting an alarm on your iPhone.

    big watch? it's like one of the smallest G shocks you can get other than the basic square ones. You do realize that you're reviewing a G shock right? lol I actually wish it was a little bigger because G-shocks are supposed to be chunky tool type watches. Any smaller than this and you might as well go by another watch like a petite dress watch

    • @JadeGeminiM390
      @JadeGeminiM390  Год назад

      I think of lotta G shocks, as of the past have been big because of the big watch trend. As things are starting to move more moderate, I think something like 44 mm or less would’ve been more suitable for more wrist sizes. My favorite watch the turbo is it definitely a big, chunky watch. But this one just seems overly big at 48 mm. I actually don’t know wondrous watch funny enough.

    • @Guinea54
      @Guinea54 Год назад

      @@JadeGeminiM390 well i guess it's all subjective opinion. I would say the general trend for many many years has been G shocks being larger/chunky type watches. For me it's like wishing the 6105 was a smaller 40mm case. To me it defeats the whole appeal of why people would get it.
