It’s funny, I’ve spent the last 20 years wearing G Shocks (firefighter), and in the last year, I’ve starting getting into automatic pieces. Now I want another G Shock!
both "worlds"...?!😉
Circle of life
i also wear g shocks as a firefighter!! literally has survived anything under my bunker gear
Not a fire fighter but construction and overall outdoor guy. Been wearing g shocks but stopped because the older I get the less bulk I want. Also started getting into automatics but don’t want to wear them ripping trials or on the job site. I have a few nice ones. Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 is my main everyday out in the town wear. But I have been missing a tough rugged watch for my job or outdoor activities. This model is so much slimmer. I think it’s a 45mm so still bulky a bit but slim and it works well. Compared to other g shocks that are 57 mm. Ugh. I don’t miss those hogs.
Buy a Casioak with positive display. They are the most visible even if window is small. I own a grey one and has gotten a good number of complements on it.
Ditto.
What does positive mean?
Thanks for the tip it has made my decision easier 🙏
@@AtomicF positive display means a white/light background with black/dark characters. Negative display means a black/dark background with white/light characters.
Me too.... I got the grey one just yesterday... compliments are just flowing
I've had the mid range GM-2100B, with olive green strap/face and silver-metal bezel, for about 6 months now.
It's been my main day to day watch.
It's a very, very slick and pretty watch, looking much more expensive than it is, and has gotten more than its fair share of compliments.
I love it!
Just needed a watch to be able to take a beating at my work (buiding big machines etc.) and still wake me up on time. Just got mine in and already loving it. It's just practical and well priced.
I bought some watches at 10 times the price but now I know his is all I need.
I love this g shock but my favourite one ever is the ga-100 I have one and I have been treasuring it and maintaining it for a bit. It’s a beautiful watch and I truly reccomend it for experienced watch enthusiasts and people getting into the field. Nice video teddy
I have the blue stainless Casioak and I absolutely love it. I wish more watches manufacturers used blue stainless. It adds a level of sophistication to the functionality of regular stainless.
I’ve got that one also 👍
I have a G Shock which I love. My 2100 came in the mail today. I am not very technical so it took me a while to get the right time set but I really like it and it makes my old G Shock appear dated. Teddy does a great job in explaining the watch
Great addition to the GSHOCK line, bought the GAB2100C-9A (Yellow) last year. Great summer watch. Wore it to the gym and beaches. Held up really well. Perfect.
Hey, I'm thinking to buy this watch and have a question- Can we set/change the time in watch itself instead of going through phone. I just want to use it like a normal watch without any connection to bluetooth. Will the time still keep up?
I have recently bought a GM2100 green dial which is absolute class and beautiful to look at..after wearing it for a couple of times the only con i could notice is the negetive display its bit difficult to read..but i would 100% recommend the watch for ppl who are going for their first gshock..it puts a smile on my face everytime i wear it
I bought the full metal BM-2100 to wear since I need a watch that is tough for my work, but also dressy. Originally it was supposed to be my work watch, but it does not leave my wrist, and looks great even in casual or dress clothes. It is durable, but its size and polished finish make it stand out in a subtle way and it compliments any outfit.
Fans of this or not (I don't own one) but Casio certainly found the formula to please almost everyone. That's great job.
I just got one of these as a daily watch I can wear to the gym, on hikes, at work, etc. I usually wear mechanical pieces, but I really like this watch. I opted for the Bluetooth 2100 model in steal black. The watch wears really nice and offers some great features especially for the price point. I used to think less of these watches but I really like mine. Thanks for the great vids Ted.
As someone who’s taste leans more towards mechanican/analog watches, I totally agree this watch fulfills the criteria I’m looking for in a watch. I own the yellow GA-2110SU-9AER which I think is stunning (though ywllpw can be hard to fit with outfits…), but for someone that is not into smart watches, this is the perfect watch, since there are basically all functions you need, except maybe tracking heart beat
My wife bought me the GMB2100D for Christmas and I love it. Surprisingly comfortable and it looks great. Like Teddy say the lume is not great and with the charcoal model it can be difficult to see in low light conditions without hitting the light.
The CasiOak is an amazing line. I didn't care to buy a G-shock simply because most of the ones I liked were quite large. The CasiOak delivers the right amount of everything in the perfect size. I have the BT/TS variant and I absolutely love it. The app works great and you can effortlessly set your watch without fiddling with the pushers. It has become my daily driver and you can wear it without worrying about damaging it or becoming a target for watch thieves.
Positive display??
For the yellow BT/TS Casioak yes its a positive display and looks quite good
I have the Casioak and it’s a best G-Shock option for my wrist with a lower profile. Highly recommend.
Same. Daily beater. LOVE the find my phone ability, however i stupidly went for the green & the display is pretty much invisible most of the time, & the lume on the hands is pathetic.
Other than that, I love it. It's replaced my 5800 which has survived some harsh conditions, & looks like its going to last the distance
@@moisturisedgnome1181 just went with yellow, love it and positive display and overall readibility superb, but most of all its perfect size, not too big like most gshock were and analog which i love
I have the GM-2100BB and I LOVE this watch. Yeah the negative display isn’t the easiest to see but I freakin love the way this thing looks and how absolutely comfortable it is to wear. I personally don’t struggle to see the time or the date/other data.
I acquired the GA2100BWP-2A 'Blue Porcelain' version with Chinese dragons engraved on the back case. C$130 at HBC. Looks great, keeps almost perfect time. The blue swirly coloured strap feels high quality. Amazing value.
I like their Wave Ceptor models. GW-5600J is my daily wear beater watch. Had it a very long time and is still going strong with the recent battery change I had done. Takes a special battery because it's also solar powered.
The gray is awesome. I think it goes really well with more casual fits
Highly recommend one of these. I always wanted to try a Gshock and I bought one and love it. these are perfect because you get that look in a cleaner slicker but still manly profile
Important thing to note: if you own a resin casioak, refrain from wearing it in high-heat/sun environments for prolonged periods of time. The bezel on mine, despite being less than a year old, has suffered from slight plastic expansion and now forms a noticeable ellipse with a small gap around the crystal rather than a perfect circle. My working theory is this happened due to working outside a lot in the summer time. Very small issue, but could be a massive bother to certain other people (myself included)
Mine is metal with resin strap, didn't have any problem and I wear it all summer
@@MilosJeremic1983 you should be good with a metal bezel.
As someone living in the desert, this is the push I needed in order to decide if metal or resin. TY
@@zeroelus I live in Canada and had this happen to me, so I’d say definitely go with the metal bezel. You’d probably still be fine with a resin strap though
Same here. I think it happened after I showered with it on my wrist.
I love my Casioak. I have the basic GA 2100. Mossy green edition. It was a little difficult for me to set up, but I got thru it. I am a bus driver, and it is a very popular drivers watch.
Nothing wrong with the basic model. Works well, takes a beating. Affordable for us workers.
I have the Blue Bluetooth Solar. It runs great as you mentioned, like a 41mm. Excellent buy, outstanding quality watch with lots of features!! The extra $50 from the base model is money well spent. Great video!
Just bought my first g shock 2 days before Christmas. I went with the GA-b2100BNR in ignite red and black. I agree with teddy in stating this is the one to bring over people who maybe never considered a Gshock in the past. It’s not so bulky and crazy looking as some of the others. So far I absolutely love it. I wear it daily to work as a carpenter in NYC and it stands up to quite a bit of abuse. I have quite a few watches from a variety of manufacturers and price points, but my new casioak is dominating wrist time as far as work hours go. There’s a lot to love about these and for $150 it’s kinda hard to say no or find a good reason not to buy one.
How does the mineral glass hold up while doing construction? I want to buy one as well, I work construction as well but I'm an electrician. I deal with a lot of sharp metal and I'm curious to know if the mineral glass will be able to withstand it or if it will be scratched to death. I think I'm going to buy one anyway and put a screen protector on it.
Hey, I'm thinking to buy this watch and have a question- Can we set/change the time in watch itself instead of going through phone. I just want to use it like a normal watch without any connection to bluetooth. Will the time still keep up?
Just bought a GA-2100CA-8ACR and am taking it on a snorkeling trip this weekend. Very comfortable to wear but my half century old eyes struggle a bit with the small digital display in dim lighting (not a big deal). All the other G Models with a round case were too wide and thick for my preference/slim wrists but the shop owner knew I'd like this one and she was right. Thanks to my watching your reviews and learning about the watch before shopping I was open to trying it. Now I have something I like to wear other than just something inexpensive to go in the water with. Much appreciated and hope to get my next watch through your site.
Thanks for explaining the differences between the models. I was always confused or too lazy to look them up.
I own a GM2100 which my wife thinks looks great and I agree - brilliant, love it. By far its biggest drawback is legibility. I often have to do a double take to tell the time in even normal, well lit conditions. Digital display is little use with anything less than perfect eyesight. So would suggest trying on if this is important! Just bought a G Shock square which is better for everyday use.
I have one as well. I've gotten many compliments. Cool looking watch
Just picked one up.
My very first watch, I just love it to my core.
Thanks for a great review Teddy!
I bought the g-shock following your enthusiastic coverage and I ended up returning it. I just hated the small arrows (relative to to dial) and the resin band (which increased perspiration). I am enjoying my pro-treak, which I feel is a better watch
I got a GA-B2100C-9A. I'm pretty happy with it except I didn't like how the yellow bezel & strap look in person. It looked nicer in pictures. So I bought a used GA-2100-1A bezel & strap to replace my current yellow ones. It's compatible & I'm very happy with how it turned out.
I always take 2 watches (something dressy and something for doing activities) when I go on vacation and my Casio oak is always one of them. So durable and stylish and I normally do some sort of swimming on vacations and my casiooak is a champ in water.
I own 2 GA-2100's and I love them. I have the GA2100-1AJF (Black w/ Off-White dial markers) and the
GA2110ET-8A (Light Gray w/ Dark Gray bezel). These are my daily watches and I cannot get enough of them. The ability to own both for under $200 and complement pretty much any outfit and situation in life makes these, for me, the best value proposition in the watch world today. They look fantastic deliver a durable quality piece that belongs in every collection.
I personally like the original black square more, I've had one for 10+ years, it has seen a lot and it still works great! I've only changed the battery once. I don't like models that are more bulky, which is not the case, so this 2100 isn't bad at all, but to me the square is the best g-shock.
My preference is the entry level base model. The only thing that I don't love about it is the resin strap, which is not the most comfortable strap, but for the price its a pretty small issue. I use this as my go-to for going to the gym, doing yard work, etc. and it works great. My two favorite Casio's are this one and the DW5600BB-1
Jay's and Kay's have aluminum strap adapters for the GA2100. I own 3 GA2100's and I use Jay's and Kay's adapters for more comfortable strap choices. They offer 20 or 22mm choices.
Love analog/digital GShock watches. Once you figure out how to align the hands with the digital face it’s golden.
I enjoy your channel very much and your format is very well presented and easy to watch.
Re: Casio, I was never a fan but I recently picked up a G-Shock “steel” limited edition model and I find it very comfortable to wear and I can use it in multiple situations. Surprisingly versatile and I’m enjoying my purchase
I have the OG blacked out CasiOak and I was able to score a cheap full metal mod kit for $40 and it’s been a great casual wear or “going out the bois” watch.
I’m in the market for one of these right now. I love the $99 versions simplicity on the face and lack of Bluetooth logo… however the Bluetooth model upgrades it to solar which I also love. Teddy you gotta get more stock of these on your site. I’d love to buy it through you with all the help you’ve given me but the available colors right now ain’t it for me lol thanks for everything you do
I only had a g shock as a kid and as an adult I’ve only ever bought mechanical watches. I now have 3 of the ga2100 watches and bought one for my dad as well. They’re awesome for the price
The GA2100 was my first ever G Shock and I opted for the clear or “Jellyfish”, I believe it’s called, color way. Very cool and unique but the strap has gained a pretty evident yellow tint. So I personally would not recommend that specific color way. I’m probably going to go for the solid red, black, or grey!
Just got my G shock G steel and the instructions to set it were really confusing to me. Not sure why I couldn’t get it to set the time, but thank you for helping as now I have a watch that actually tells the correct time rather than being a novelty.
I bought a G-SHOCK GA-2100 VB (Virtual Blue) for fun, because I'm into the Cyberpunk ascetic, and it ended up to be my daily wearer. It really wears comparatively small, and is super light. I will buy another one, as a backup or, if possible, a BT version of this color pattern.
The GM2100 is an absolutely brilliant watch. Functional, beautiful, comfortable, sturdy, it has everything. All I would add is sapphire.
For 99 bucks I have 2 and you can not go wrong with these. You get that gshock quality without the bulky gshock look that some other analog-digital models have. I prefer the resin case as opposed to metal so Im looking for my next one to be a solar/bluetooth model. Hoping 2023 they will have some cool colors coming out. I also prefer the positive display as opposed to negative but its not a deal breaker.
Agree. I keep waiting and waiting for more solar, positive display. Would love a blue option with white markers ❤
I would recommend the GMAS2100. It is 2-3 mm smaller than the original. It’s also 20% lighter and slightly thinner than the original. Ideal for 6.5 wrists and below, but try before you buy.
Same! I ended up preferring the size of the GMA-S2100 for day to day wear. A friend has the standard size, and although I like his, I was very happy with the smaller size.
@@enesturhan3435 thats just a marketing strategy, buy what suits you
Modify this model with a aftermarket metal case bracelet and you have the perfect size casioak for any size wrist imo, in white it's the best looking 😊
I own the GA-B2100, tough solar means I don't have to worry about a thing for at least a decade so in my view it's worth the extra 50-60 bucks. Being a fan of mechanical watches I don't own any other G-shock watches. Before purchasing it I thought it might be too bulky but Teddy was spot on about the dimensions, the watch wears much smaller than you'd think. After a few months of wearing it I have to say its very durable and gets the job done. The only negative thing I have to say is that I find the light underwhelming and not enough in certain dark environments.
What I like about gshocks is their customisability. I couldn't find one that suited my style - I wanted mine to look like old apple products mixing rainbow theme with light grey so I simply bought the model from half a year ago with a rainbow iridescent dial and purchased official casio replacement parts for a grey band and case, switched them over and voila I have a one of a kind gshock that looks like it was sold together with 90s apple computers.
Yeah in normal watches you can buy a different strap but it doesn't change the watches overall look that much
These are definitely more appealing because of the size and less aggressive style but still being super tough and a great tool
Just ordered my rose gold casioak from your store. I'm so excited to see it in person!!!!
I own 3 GA2100's. I plan to add a GAB2100 eventually. I use Jay's and Kay's strap adapters on 2 of my GA2100's for more comfortable strap choices.
Hey Teddy, I have 3 2100's in my collection. GM2100-1A, GA2100SKE-7A and a GAB2100BNR1A. I love them. Smaller profile made them easier to wear on my smaller wrist although my MudMaster still ranks up there with my favorite G-Shock's. Keep up the good work, I appreciate that you cover affordable watch along with the not so affordable one.
Wow. You have all the variants.
Love my slate Casioak watch, my go to weekend warrior. Great video and informative. Will buy one of the lesser priced Casioaks form my son’s first watch to start his collection.
Great overview 😊👍🏻
I have the GM2100 (blue) and find that there is not much contrast on the hands and the time is challenging to see.
I don’t typically have the digital display on the “time” (I find it redundant) but with this one, I find myself using the light function very often to see the time so I leave it at “time” on the digital display.
That’s my only regret; not having chosen a version with a greater contrast like the GM2100G (Gold metal bezel w rubber strap).
Voilà! Thanks for sharing Teddy … hope you have continued success in 2023! 😊
I have a green GA-B2100 (solar powered) and I love it, it wears so comfortably, offers a bunch of "complications" and looks great. I also have a "royal oak" looking metal case and bracelet for it, which looks great but does not wear as comfortable.
I got the green aswell, i found the LCD display was pretty much ineligible most of the time. A positive display would've served better i think. Also lighter hour indices and/or better lume on the hands would have been nice.
Its a shame they only make the 4 colours in BR/Tough solar atm. Some of the basic models have much nicer displays.
Never thought of owning a G-Shock but just bought one into my collection, GM-2100. It's just too good, you're not gonna go wrong with it!
Wut color? Still ur go to watch?
I had never owned a G-Shock until I bought the GA2100-1A1 last year ... and I love it! The darker face takes a little getting used to but looks great on a watch that has almost perfect dimensions and depth, giving it a lower profile, 'stealthy' look. Last month I purchased the GM2100-1A (stainless case / resin strap). It's also a beautiful watch with a great band but note that part of the case, near the lugs, are shinier than Casio's product photos would indicate - closer to chrome than to brushed stainless.
Me too....and I love it!!
Whats is the difference between gm2100 and ga2100?
@@grock_lee Pictures will do far better than my description but the GA2100-1A1 is an all-resin, kinda ‘blacked out’ Casioak - a low profile, very clean look … whereas the GM2100-1A has a metal case and face on a thinner black resin band. The case is shiny and the faced has a brushed metal look. Very different from one another; each is very nice.
@@JBM07XKR which would you pick if you had to
@@3than1011 The GA2100-1A1
I have had a DW5600 in army green, solar powered and it has stood the test of time and never had the battery wear out.
I got the "ladies" version last week to fit my male wrist as it fits my wrist best.
Got the black and rose gold for best viewing of the hands.
Overall, a great G-Shock option.
The downsides, buttons are a bit awkward to use and only lume on the hands was a disappointment
Got the blue one. Great everyday, accurate and no worry watch. I wear it on travel, less prone to theft.
I actually prefer my entry level "jellyfish" version. Unlike the more expensive ones, it easily shows you the day of the week at 9 o'clock. That's more useful for me than the mode indicator seen on the more expensive models. It's my go-to watch whenever I'm doing anything active or outdoorsy.
Fair point
Really like the jellyfish one, but the inevitable yellowing has kept me away
Agreed. I really want a solar Casioak with a positive display that shows the day of the week in dial form like the less expensive non-solar models. I don’t need the dial that tells me the mode
It’s important to constantly check the day of the week.
@@carsaregood911 that was a worry when I got it, but 8 months in, with regular use, and it's still clear as day. If it does start to yellow too much in the future, it will be a perfect candidate for a mod project.
You forgot to mention one of the biggest differences between the ga-2100 and the ga-b2100; while both are battery powered, the newer b2100 model comes with the tough solar feature so you'll never have to replace the battery like you would with the original 2100.
You would eventually have to replace the battery.
@marcel yeah, like in a few decades maybe. By then you'd probably have moved on from the watch anyways
Love this watch, especially the bluetooth alarm setting functions with solar. Just wish there were more positive display options.
I love the GA-B2100 with an SKXMOD kit. Became one of my favorite daily wearers.
I like the black solar powered one. the one with the red hand... I just wish they made a bigger version.. Id love the watch if it was a little larger and thicker, to feel more like a g shock.. and also it would help with visibility because they can make that tiny digital display larger.
I bought the baby version in white even though I have a 7.5 inch wrist. Really like it as it's a bit bling but the smaller size is really nice.
Originally bought it as they didn't have a decent 2 tone colour in the men's version (who wants red hands on a red dial?!?!) But the white was offset with silver which I loved.
Just grabbed one yesterday. It's my first G-shock. Actually, it's my 2nd non smart watch watch. The other being a Lego watch. I got the virtual world colour way Casioak. Love the subtle pops of purple and pink. Legibility is an issue with the dark dial and negative digital display. It was take some getting used to, not to just tilt my wrist and have the time light up. But so far I like the look and feel. I could see gifting one too as it's not expensive, is fashionable, trendy, and sort of timeless being a casio g-shock.
I love my bluewhite GA-2100. I always prefer to wear it whenever I go outdoors. It just goes with everything 🤩
My blacked out gab2100-1a1 is my go to watch. It’s insane knowing that you’re always on dot time & that the solar battery is going to last years upon years
I was thinking of buying one of these today and this video dropped... Sometimes it's like Teddy is watching over my watch collection.
same thing for me!
I have two, in the "medium" size. Love them. Nice to not have a digital display with the robustness of a g-shock
Any of these watches would be a great addition to any collection.
I personally have the gm-2100 with the metallic frame in the midnight fog colour. Absolutely love this watch and affordable too.
Also, definitely a good watch to bring out during vacation if you don't feel like getting mugged😁👍
I personally own the blue resin with the grey bezel, i feel for the price point, you cannot go wrong with them, if you like that style of watch. I feel Casio in general make do make very good watches for their price point. I've owned a Marinemaster for years with no issues whatsover, even the 10 year battery has been in the watch for around 17 years now and his still running. I also own a Casio Duro and for the price point, you are getting plenty of watch.
I've had the same G-Shock for the last... 15 years? Something like that. Bought it right after I got out of the Navy. A GW-530A. Been an absolute beast of a watch. Even sat in a closet for the last 5 years or so until I pulled it out recently, thinking I was gonna need to replace the battery after all that time. And while it was dead, a couple days propped up in the front window and it's fully charged again lol. Can't kill these damn things!
All that is to say that, while I love this little watch, it's been time for an update for a while. So I just bought one of the GA2100s in the Neobrite colorway, from your site. Figured you do good work here, should show a little support, and your typical watches are well outside my price range! Looking forward to the new watch coming in in the next few days!
I have a smaller 6.5” wrist and opted for the 40mm gms2100. I like it!
Important to know also: if you get a lighter colored model the bezel will discolor. I got a face colored 2100, which looks great, but it has marks all over it. I wish I would've gotten the yellow version with a black bezel
I love model of the Casio G-Shock. I own 10 different colors of the same model ( Casio 2100 ). The metal one , really got my attention.
Thank you very much! Liked, subscribed and shared. My absolute favorite RUclips channel by far.
A168W & GA 2100 green...it's been almost an year and half I've bought them at the same time with the first stipend I've recieved in my intership and they'll be with me till the end of my life and may be next gen too 😉
I had one for the longest time and recently gave it away. No particular reason, it's a cool watch but my tastes have changed. Thanks for the review.
I love my black on black GA 2100 - but its definitely a process to set up when you're used to mechanical watches haha - I got into watches cause i am not the best with tech stuff so this one challenged me a bit, but in a fun way :)
I have 2 of the GA-2110's (the Core ones)- the grey one with positive display, and the blue one with negative display. What I don't like about the new solar and bluetooth ones is that they have got rid of the day display on the left hand dial. I would ideally like solar and bluetooth with positive display and day dial. They don't seem to do that currently sadly.
Great vid Teddy!! Useful as a clarification between the different Casioak models :)
I have the 2100 black resin with white markers and best G-Shock I’ve owned for my wrist with the lower profile. I’m on the coast in the southeast US and routinely use mine for anything with a damage risk including surf fishing. I clean it with a brush periodically and after exposure to the saltwater. Zero issues and highly recommended as a durable, yet nice looking beater.
I really like the week day complication, it would be great if Casio issued a version of GM-2100 with metal bracelet
Love my small but growing g shock collection. Huge fan of the Bluetooth in my MTG. I thought it may just be a novelty but to have an analogue watch that adjusts the time within a few minutes of getting off a plane is brilliant. I only own one casioak which I love as my holiday and weekend watch but find if I'm travelling to a different time zone I don't take it so I don't have to change the time.
But the 2100 has world time🤷♂️
@@kdubllu hrmmm maybe I just haven't worked it out then. It took me enough just to set it the first time ahaha. Still I love that the Bluetooth models just work faultlessly.
Just having a play and it doesn't seem to have my main two cities I travel between (Hobart and Brisbane)
yes! love my original ga-2100. Had it on a modded royal oak case and then returned it to stock. Was considering a solar/quartz GAB-2100 , still debating (i love having a date complication).
I dont love the price jump for the all-steel version.
I have the original black and picked up the steel dial version for $30 more, and let me tell u, if u find a deal on it, grab it immediately
@@davidf3974 See the steel dial is worth it for me, but the jump for the steel full case isn't enough to warrant it!
I found a non-Royal Oak style metal case that looks better aftermarket as well, may pick it up
I always wanted a G Shock, but they always seemed so big.(thick).
I bought a ‘Casioak’.
Fantastic watch, not just for everyday use, but it’s a great ‘outdoor’ watch.
All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧
Hope you carry the Neon versions soon! I like the orange one because of legibility and would love to purchase from your site vs someone else’s to support!
I got sucked back in to g shock with these, I bought three. Two of them for around $60 if you search around you can find deals. Then the other was a huf collab and it’s pretty sweet. Want to mod one but the kits are annoying to find and more expensive than the watch haha
I have two - the grey and the red and am looking at a black with green highlights.
These (as Teddy stated) got me back into watches and I now also own a GA-110Y Jason and looking at a few others.
Thank you as always for the great content TB
I have those two as well, they're both FANTASTIC (though the digital display on the red is slightly less legible than the grey). The next one on my list is the green women's offering because of the smaller case size.
Bought mine a year
ago, love it!
Love mine! Own 4 now, black, grey, clear and a custom/modded one
I bought an inexpensive ana/digi Casio AQ-S810W Solar 10bar for almost nothing, to see if I liked the combination. I smooth sanded off the white painted text and black Sharpied the recessed lettering, so I now have an all black case. I'm now searching, (but can't find a reason) to get the Casioak Solar at $150. One quirk is that the second hand moves/lurches 3 times a minute, not like a perpetual minute hand.
The same way we saw Swatch and Omega do a (very successful) collab around the Speedmaster, I think it would be fun to have Casio and Audemars Piguet do the same thing with the Royal Oak :)
Have you seen folks trying to sell those after they sold out? Like double the price and more. I hope Swatch release another batch.
My ideal future CasiOak would feature all of the functionality of my GA-B2100-9aer, but with top-notch lume on the hands and the hour indices, covered by a sapphire crystal. I don't need a metal body or strap, but I do appreciate a face and hands with higher contrast and readability in the dark without using the LED. Also, as much as I enjoy the bright yellow of my model, I would like a high-contrast face in black or gray.
Thanks for nice guidance as usual Teddy 🙏
I’m very happy with my kind of “forest camouflage” model GA-2100FR-5AER. -It’s cool - check it out!
I also think this model and the traditional square G-Shock is a nice addition to all the wonderful mechanical watches in a collection.
To me it is.
This watch is awesome. I just bought the Blue Paisley one and its been serving me great
I got the grey one because it's a lovely grey and positive display.
I'm planning on getting the GM-B2100 next week, but I'm making sure to try it out, before I make a final decision.
Bought a GAB at Christmas. Loving it. Initially wanted the GMB but that's like four times the price😁
