Fully agreed! I think the previous model is better in this sense. You should not have to press a button to see day of the week, day and month. In this new version, these 3 infos cannot be seen together.

Who in modern world does not know the Day of the week? Date is needed but week of the Day has become pretty useless

A huge improvement from the old model. The positive display alone is a great changed.
I totally agree, I would only recommend the positive display myself

I am hugely disappointed that the new model cannot show the date and the day of the week at the same time. Casio is doing this on quite a few models which is silly. Users tend to know what month it is, what we need to check now and again is the date and the day of the week. Oh well, one less watch to ponder buying :)

Assez de défaults; petit displey qui sert prèsque à rien ou le négatif est pire le positif minuscule, montre noire avec aiguille noire complètement ilisible mais attractif sur le poigné, la gris claire avec un displey positif est une sorte de compromis acceptable; la GA 2110..

I own a few 2100’s and i love em. However, as a 50 year old man i definitely couldn’t pull off a bright yellow Gshock but i love the dial. It’s just so legible with old eyes. Great review by the way, many thanks.

Based on this video I personally prefer the GA-2100. I like being able to see week days and date at the same time and generally I just find it more refined and to the point. I also find beauty in devices being unconnected and isolated from the outside world, just doing their own thing.
The reminders, time synch, solar charging and phone finder of the newer version seems very practical though.
Other low-end watch reviewers should watch your video. They should learn how to 'get on with it' and quit being obnoxious. Good job!!!

Yes I believe they do, people have told me that they have put the band and case of their old one on to the new one

Not crazy about the negative display especially when analog display is tiny.
I should be getting the new one soon in the mail and I’m kind of looking forward to actually being able to use it.
I do wish the black with positive display had white markers and not the grey. But overall the solar is the better option. Don’t miss the date wheel at all.

Hi, really hoping you can answer this. Is there anyway you Can you disable the Bluetooth from the watch? Sometimes can wear them in hospitals or when working on aircrafts
I'm pretty sure you can just straight turn it off, but you can find the manual online to verify
I kinda like the green one but the yellow looks so much more vibrant & unique
I like the green but I am not a huge negative display fan
@@sneakypetesproductreviews I agree I wished they made all the colors bright with the colored pointers and non negative display, really makes the rest of the colors look so dull, I'm mainly a mechanical watch collector but I love this series alot I only have 1 G-Shock as I try to avoid quartz due to the hassle of needing to replace the battery but this model is so cool and vestatile enough to pair with shirt & trousers even.
I bought the iridescent for the old model and I wish so badly that I could have gotten it with the tough solar but it isn't available.

The straps are interchangeable. I tested it.
hey, how much time does the battery last on the older version? How do you charge it?
You just change the battery out when it dies
Few Questions:
1. When fully charged, how long will the battery last?
2. How long does it take to charge from dead to full?
3. How long will the solar battery last before it needs to be replaced? Can it be replaced? If so, how much does that cost?

On the G-Shock website it says 24h timer. You say 60min. Which is correct?
The GA-B2100 has a 60 minute timer

@@sneakypetesproductreviews yes, exactly. swapping is so much fun, but I don't know how much compatibility between cases there is.
Also, in the original model, when you hold the LIGHT button and then quickly press the MODE button, you can move the hands away from the digital display. Same thing to have them return to their normal position. (it doesn't have to be a simultaneous press). does that work on the new model?

I love the original, does it really need to be solar? Are we just complicating a simple watch? Have had loads of the non solar, stuck with the dark grey metallic skeleton, fab and definitely a future icon.

Solar is great for places with a tropical climate. Totally no need for a batt change, unless the batt fails

YES! I love the day indicator also. Day/Date is a must for me and so, the 2100 is better in this!
Unfortunately the yellow version is the only legible one of the new casiok. Would like another legible colorversion.
There is a black version with positive display too, the rest of the new version got a negative display.

Whats the battery life like on both? I got to know even if we use the bluetooth like once in a while to configure the watch the battery lasts only 3-5 years

@@asad4310 Solar power watch = you put it into the sun or like a bright light and it will charge itself. Idk if it has any kinda battery, but if you wear the watch outside everyday it will always be full charge and run for a lifetime basically.
The GA-2100 is only battery and will last for like 2-5 years or so before you have to change battery.
I would say both of the watches in the video is 100% worth it. I don't own one but I am probably gonna buy the GA-2100.
I like the new one the best (sans the Bluetooth-logo). But what happens in 10 years when Casio decides not to support the app any longer...

Sundial on the yellow watch should also show the day like the clear watch. It's stupid for it to move.between the modes. Really.dumb.

@maydaydevinci I agree with you I prefer the day of the week indicator over the mode indicator. It’s one of my favorite features of the old version that they just didn’t port over.
The hands are the same. One is outlined in silver the other in black, hence the smaller look.

When I look at my watch I want to know the time, date, and day of the week. This new 2100 fails! It does not display the day of the week without pressing a button.
Furthermore I don’t want Bluetooth on my Casio watch.
