Go back enough years and all the Axial "fan boys" would be sticking up their noses at Traxxas. Oh how the times have changed. Personally, I was never a "fan boy" of any company in particular, I just went for the RC that out the biggest smile on my face. I think it's amazing how far the hobby has come in the last few years and I can't wait to see what's next. A SCX6, I mean if things keep going the way they are, we are going to be in for a fun ride! Love seeing you guys working on several different vehicles from different companies even if it's primarily Traxxas and Axial. Thanks for your continued awesomeness and your videos. I'm alwats looking forward to your next one. Cheers!
@@rcstories_ca Back in the early 90's, I called them toonka toobs. Back then they didn't have the tech that's available now, and you could ALWAYS tell a car that went by with em playin, cause they always just made a toonka sound as opposed to a healthy set of breathing 15's🤣🤣🤣 Of course the game has changed these days tho. Thanks 4 the memories 👍👍
Chuffed?? I’m 52 and have never heard that word before. Learn something new every day. Who’d a thunk one could learn a new word to add in to ones vocabulary while watching a scale channel. Great show my man. The truck is absolutely beautiful. I am chuffed to have found your channel kind sir.👍😎
I agree that is too nice looking to get all mudded up! You could 3D print a brief case to hold the light kit power module and make it look like it is just a brief case setting behind the seat.
You can't go wrong with black and chrome. As for the wheel/tire package, they look great however the wheel is a little too wide for the tire - it doesn't look perfectly scale. imho. I agree with you about not getting it dirty. Man, it looks so great as it is.
I have their interior in my 79 Bronco. There’s a spot on the back side of the dashboard to mount a servo for the steering wheel. It also has 2 spots for fans 1 under the drivers seat for the ESC and 1 under the the dash for the motor(the piece you showed). And if you look up G161EB from GRC it’s the rear floorboard and a gas tank.
Sweet rig Matt, and yes, those Boggers are mounted correctly for optimum forward bite. Keep them tasteful rides comin, and would love to see your version of a build I’m working on, a Mr. Plow truck with an accurate Homer behind the wheel. Later man
They are all nice. I usually buy two of one tat I will run outside. The others will just be for show and light running in the basement. I love them clean. I've always been that way.
The first episode made me fall in love with this version of the TRX-4. Black is just classy. My Pro Scale light kit arrived yesterday so I might get it in this weekend. Thanks for the interior option. You are right. This truck is pretty. Mine is going to be more trail truck than rock crawler. Good luck in the mud!
Matt could do a series paying homage to Jang’s Shapeshifter. All the different styles of build based on trx4. I think that would be absolutely incredible
Love this Chevy Blazer!! Traxxas hit a Home run with this!! The lift with those wheels are straight 🔥🔥. DON'T WEATHER the paint, it looks way to nice for that. Digging this build, Great job 👍. Hey you got the OG Gangster vibe with that red flannel & hat!! LoL!! Stay safe and bash on from Colorado!!!
K5 looking 🔥. I thought my K5 look good with wide chrome wheels but this right here looks even better 👏 especially with that lift kit. I know is tough of not wanting to get it dirty or even scratch it but that’s why we built it for lol
One of my favorite things to do to a rig like this is drive it to death in the water and Mudd. When the stock electronics smoke go with a super cheap brushless then drive it till the gears and bearings are dust. Lol. Then pull apart clean up and go all sealed bearings and machined drivetrain then reefs and HH thoughtout and resell. Lol.
Add the folding k5 mirrors for an extra touch to that old school look! Plus you should’ve mentioned, there is a light kit that is just basic, you don’t need the pro scale kit unless you want the added functions
Looks good Matt! GRC also makes an interior for the Bronco which I'm thinking about using in a custom build I'm working on. A wash would probably do the trick for the interior, but you could just run it in the mud and leave the body dirty for some "natural" weathering on the exterior. .007!
I have the same black TRX4 and I put a red GRC interior in mine. I had to install spacers under the seat to prevent the wires being "pinched" by the seat. I just installed HR axles and brass portals to add some weight. Love this truck!
I run my tires in the same direction that you have yours currently. I had that tire on my 1:1 and the tire shop put them on the same. I think they are correct.
Nice ;) I built up both my trx4 blazer and my Element Enduro Trail walker for the winter. I done some very similar to what you done with your blazer same tires the proline interco super swamper boggers XLs the 5.4" aka 54s. And added a winch lights changed the motor n ESC for more torque and wheel speed but also better low speed control. But my favorite is my element Enduro Trail walker. Iv done alot to it and with the amount of $$ iv sunken into it I could prob buy 3 more 😂. It also has the proline interco super swamper TSL boggers XLs 54"s their massive. I got the RC4wD steel white wagon style rims on it the blazer I put the RC4wD steel rims on it I forget what the model is but their super nice and heavy as well like the ones on my element Enduro Trail walker. But as for the trail walker I added two winch's from RC4wd I put the big $100 Warren winch on the front and the cheaper one on the rear. Everything is now metal on the truck including the reciver box is aluminum. I made the inner fenders from sheet metal. It's got a lift kit and 124mm tall internal shock absorbers. I got the RC4wD V8 and radiator and the transmission ECT but decided not to use it at this time. I bought a few transmissions for it Incase anything goes wrong even though I got all the extra gears ect for it. Iv kept the stock trans but installed all aftermarket steel gearing it's got the over drive gearing for the front the 11 or 12% I done that back in the summer. I added all the brass I could lol. So it weighs alot like seriously it's heavy. I added the camper top to the body even though I got extra bodies for it and done work to them so I can do a 1979 F250 or the RC4wD K5 blazer I got two of those. I painted the trail walker body grey it looks cooler now lol. Added aftermarket led lights so it's definitely better lighting at night. The axles are all metal vanquish look absolutely bad ass. The drive shafts also steel. The sliders steel the chassis all aluminum. Like I said no plastic anymore lol. As for the esc and motor I installed a castle Momba monster 6s and the biggest motor that I could fit on it. And that is a 4276 big block 2200kv and I run it on 4s which gives it plenty of power and torque and I can get the low speed power considering the size and raw torque that motor has and ridiculous wheel speed this Trail walker hauls ass 😂. But I don't bash it even tho it could possibly keep up with my 6s big rock lol. And I also got the 4k FPV cams installed in the bodies and I upgraded the transmitter and receiver to long range so I can use the FPV and run the truck a long ways away from the house ect.. which is gonna be fun when the winter storms hit.. we get bad ice and snow storms here in Western North Carolina on top of the mountains. So it's gonna be very interesting this year 😂. I ordered alot of extra parts and performance parts for it because once the snow starts it's gonna be really hard to have things delivered ya kno. 17+ inches of snow fall every two weeks is kinda insane so it's gonna get deep n dangerous last year we had spots that where 32 inches deep so it's insane during the cold months.. but it doesn't stay cold long maybe 2 months if that before it climbs back to the 50s 60s than 70 80 90s it's pretty strange weather.. but I got all my spare parts ready spare diff gears spear trans gearing screw kits oils grease a bunch of extra lipos and chargers extra lights extra transmitters n receivers and scale parts tires rims even a few spare axles Incase anything goes south with I doubt will happen but ya never know. My extra bearings came in this morning with my links. So I believe it's good to go 😂 imma make some epic vids with em ;)
Love the look of this truck. My dad’s first vehicle was a 77 K5 blazer on 44” bloggers with a 454 under the hood. It was Blue, but this reminds me of his truck. Really nice build so far and I can’t wait to see it progress.
I have that interior kit for my trx 4 bronco there is enough room in the stock receiver box for the bec you don’t need to use the taller lid you can use the stock lid you need to move a few things around but it does fit
Looks great! I found some custom alloy deep dish wheels out of Korea finally. Very similar look to the RamCNC wheels. I don't think I am touching the body/paint on this one as they already nailed it so well!
Would a front mounted battery solve the issue for the pro lights? Can reuse the middle for the controller and extra stuff. Also, which light system would you recommend for this truck if you were going brushless, as pro needs brushed for reverse? Thank you for all the incredible content, always fun to watch.
Love the deep dish aluminums, I found a set of 6 spoke old school aluminum wheels for my comp truck, and it just made it look so much more realistic. Awesome vid as usual. Thanks for the entertainment.👍
Nice build. Got one like it. Speaking from experience the antenna will go through the slot and stand vertical for best reception. RC 4WD sells the real Tsl Super Swamper. And I think the fan bracket is for the motor not the esc, weird huh. A small amount of modifications and the interior will fit over the bec much better. The power box for the lighting will fit behind the driver seat, you have to cut out the slot to expose the screw bosses. It will be exposed for access allowing to plug in other accessories . A small amount of trimming and the battery wire can be accessed through the center console hole. A very nice interior kit and fits great with patience.
I just started upgrading mine that I got. You need the blazer skid plate and front push bar.. I love your upgrades on your show truck.. haha.. I don't like getting mine dirty either..hahaha
Killer build bro!! The wheels are a copy of Centerline. Back in the day a friend had one that looked exactly like this. He picked up many tickets for bumper height being over 36". Then another friends dad had one set up for 100 yard dirt drag racing (also black) memories ❤
Looking good man! The tires are in the right direction. I always wanted Super Swampers on my blazer but they are expensive. I have a friend who drag races a motorcycle in dirt. He uses a Super Swamper for the rear tire. I’m loving this build you are doing. It looks so awesome. Also, and this is just my opinion, but keep it just black and chrome. It looks so good.
So, now I’m convinced, I want to build this truck, and it will probably never go off road, just like all the full size pavement princesses around here in central California. Looks awesome. Id love to see that body in heavy flake dark metallic brown. My old man used to call it 'root beer barrel brown' give it that 70's vibe. But the black and chrome is timeless and the alloy rims are wicked. Gotta run her though bud, ya don't have to submerge the thing and burn the motor out, just some good mud rips brother.
Matte finish the rear shell to give it a very realistic look. The wheels and tires are perfect and I've had a few K5s for real and it's so detailed. The bottom glove box area should be black if a GM factory had built it. Shift lever for transfer case should be chrome or close to it. I'm excited to see something I literally have to double take to realize it's not real is absolutely astonishing!! Wow it is perfectly executed!!!
Absolutely love the wheels your running having a really hard time finding a set of wide wheels for my trx4 already on mudslingers just wanting more dish
For the body, I think you should leave the paint alone. However, I do have an idea: I think you should stick a scale engine under there and make it a tilt nose. That would be very period current mud truck (I’m from the south and into full-size off-road, so I’ve seen a mud truck or two! Iol)
Wow looks good I got a erevo 2.0 I barely drove and drive I can trade for a new trx4 blazer might have to do it really did like the scale scene when I was into it back in the day !!
Ramwheelscnc is still in the game
Go back enough years and all the Axial "fan boys" would be sticking up their noses at Traxxas. Oh how the times have changed. vanquish just pooped on traxxas and axial with the phoenix release
just 3d print a cover for that lighting module so it looks like a 1200W subwoofer amp and you are done :D
Hahaha. I love this idea
That is an awesome idea
Apparently Bazooka Tubes are still a thing too.

Good idea, perhaps I'll print a Knight Customs Pelican! Thanks for the idea!
I am IN LOVE with that dashboard color combo! This build is coming out insanely cool so far!
That is one of the sweetest damn rigs I’ve ever seen!
You can't go wrong with black and chrome. As for the wheel/tire package, they look great however the wheel is a little too wide for the tire - it doesn't look perfectly scale. imho.
I agree with you about not getting it dirty. Man, it looks so great as it is.
That blazer is absolutely gorgeous leave it like it is ,,,,it's awesome dude🌟🌟🌟🌟
Turning out nice with the added touches! Tug of war certified. 😁👌🏼

Got a full size in the garage and the Vaterra one👍🏻🤘🏻

K5 looking 🔥. I thought my K5 look good with wide chrome wheels but this right here looks even better 👏 especially with that lift kit. I know is tough of not wanting to get it dirty or even scratch it but that’s why we built it for lol
Wow, that’s an amazing truck!
NAILED IT!!!!! Looks amazing I'd be afraid to scratch it. lol
got the interior for my trx6, really cool and good looking, it have a servomount for the steeringwheel
Ive built this same exact blazer except I have a sound module and different wheels, I love it.
Lol.
Omg that interior is awesome. I would mud it! Lol
I would paint the back of the seats brown.
That truck looks spot on. I love it. It should have an obnoxiously loud engine sound kit too. Those wheels and tires look amazing.

I would recommend using your existing battery tray as your electronics mounting area and use the battery mount that goes between the front fenders.
The build looks Awesome those gauges on the dash like that detail incredible things from RC is always cool Thanks for the video
Man that BLAZER is badass!! Great video Thank you. Im going to go get one now.😁👍
looks great man brings me back to my childhood an what would have been running around on the road when i was younger..
I have the same black TRX4 and I put a red GRC interior in mine. I had to install spacers under the seat to prevent the wires being "pinched" by the seat. I just installed HR axles and brass portals to add some weight. Love this truck!

Oh hell yeah!!!!It's looking pretty awesome indeed!!!
Weathered/beat mudd truck would look awesome, still looks great like this tho too! Those wheels set this rig apart from other mudd truck builds!
It can be a ‘Show Truck’ making it just barely more usable than Josh’s squatted dually. Lol. Sweet build Matt. 🤙🏼
Looks great, the wheel and tire combo looks awsome.
That’s a BOSS looking rig. That tire/wheel combo is spot on definitely nailed the look.
This blazer definitely looks like a real steel scale blazer tires , wheels just everything looks scale

I probably couldn’t run that truck in the mud . Looks awesome
king of rc👊
I installed same interior from GRC, easy assembly. Very informative as usual Matt, keep up great work!
You didn’t build a Mud truck, that’s a show room truck!. 👍 😆. I’m definitely changing my RC4WD dash & seats for this one. Thanks for sharing bud.
Love the look of this truck. My dad’s first vehicle was a 77 K5 blazer on 44” bloggers with a 454 under the hood. It was Blue, but this reminds me of his truck. Really nice build so far and I can’t wait to see it progress.
Great looking blazers
I have that interior kit for my trx 4 bronco there is enough room in the stock receiver box for the bec you don’t need to use the taller lid you can use the stock lid you need to move a few things around but it does fit
That is fantastic! You've got me considering making one for my self! Cheers
Looks great! I found some custom alloy deep dish wheels out of Korea finally. Very similar look to the RamCNC wheels. I don't think I am touching the body/paint on this one as they already nailed it so well!
That rig would fit right in to my collection!!
This truck is amazing 👏

Thanks for the tips!
Thanks, you're too kind. Sorry I was being a know it all.
You answered some questions I had.about that kit.I was looking at it for my bronco I recently traded for.
Awesome looking build brother!!
Looks so good! Great job man!
Paint looks great....just leave it 😊
Show us how to remove body pins for magnets and ideas to cover the body mounting holes.
Looks really good!
Great looking build! Boggers are positioned correctly, if you want extra scale points eliminate all of the smallest lugs in the pattern.
They’re installed correctly… But for a deep South mud truck, they would be installed incorrectly
Cutting them is a brilliant idea
Great , I’m slowly doing a similar build . Hopefully get a video out end of year
That thing looks awesome 👌
I just started upgrading mine that I got. You need the blazer skid plate and front push bar.. I love your upgrades on your show truck.. haha.. I don't like getting mine dirty either..hahaha
THose wheels are some of the nicest I've seen... I like the negative offset deep dish and can hardly find any options out there
Killer build bro!! The wheels are a copy of Centerline. Back in the day a friend had one that looked exactly like this. He picked up many tickets for bumper height being over 36". Then another friends dad had one set up for 100 yard dirt drag racing (also black) memories ❤
Now be like whistling diesel and destroy it😂🤣 just kidding. Good looking rig so far!
Looking awesome dude!
"I found this on eBay, where a lot of things exist ... apparently."
That's hysterical!
I just bought the K5 High trail 1972 Blazer Black edition! Love it!
That's great! Enjoy it!
So, now I’m convinced, I want to build this truck, and it will probably never go off road, just like all the full size pavement princesses around here in central California. Well, maybe just a little crawling. Do you think the hobbywing fusion motor/esc combo will fit, with that interior???I am assuming, probably. I love my hobbywing fusion motors in both my TRX4-sport, and Axial Bomber.
Looks good fam 💪🏾💯
Shorten the panhard bar and fill the tires out a bit and bang!!
I want to see the video, when you decide to get that beautiful black blazer muddy!! Looks great, but how does it actually do? Thanks 😊
I wish proline would come out WITH THE OLD DENMAN GROUND HAWG MUD TIRE , its frome the 70,s does any one out there remember that tire !? It would really make that blazer look like the good ol days .
It looks so good💪🏼
Looks amazing. 👍🏽👍🏽😎
Dunno why in the hell I didn't see this earlier, but that RC looks just amazing!!!!
❤ it
Looks awesome.
Thanks for watching!
The exact info I needed right now thankyou for the details.
You're very welcome!
Absolutely love the wheels your running having a really hard time finding a set of wide wheels for my trx4 already on mudslingers just wanting more dish
Love the build.. Amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥🍻
God I want those wheels!!
Nice interior! I’d get a scale Tim’s cup for that center console
For the body, I think you should leave the paint alone. However, I do have an idea: I think you should stick a scale engine under there and make it a tilt nose. That would be very period current mud truck (I’m from the south and into full-size off-road, so I’ve seen a mud truck or two! Iol)
Beautiful blazer
Big like
Big thanks!
That is looking great, wish I had the bucks for something like that, plus all the hop ups
Could you mount the light module on the back side of the dash
No, it needs to plug into the body.
that looks great
Wow looks good I got a erevo 2.0 I barely drove and drive I can trade for a new trx4 blazer might have to do it really did like the scale scene when I was into it back in the day !!
Cool truck, awesome SBG customization, hope some scale TH cups and Alberta maps wiil find their way into the cabin! Fun presentation, thank you :)
