    I know this is an old video, but I just stumbled on this. Dagan has been giving me cortisone injections in various joints, including my knees, for several years. He is the only one I allow to give me my injections because he really gives virtually painless injections!!

    I had a series of four Orthovisc injection three years ago. From hobbling on a cane to walking painlessly after the 3rd injection. It's been a medical miracle.
    Edited to add: the injections included lidocaine so after the initial skin poke, it was numb immediately and for hours.
    Also, the "life expectancy" of the injections was 6 mo to 1 year. I'm on year 3 without a ping.

    Though I have osteoarthritis on both knee walking bone on bone, I decided against the injection and knee surgery. 15 weeks later, I’m walking with ease. Have lost so weight so it alleviated most of the pain. Still use the cane, but only when I need to get on and off the curb.

I’m still in some pain 15 hours later, still feel pressure, using my cane. The gel if it works will take effect within 4 to 6 weeks from what I’m told🤦🏾‍♀️ I’m 51 and developed arthritis at 32. After watching this video and seeing that needle, I'm rethinking it. I can handle small needles but large ones like this make me a little jittery. I would have to figure out a way of not seeing those needles. 😬

    I have had a knee problems for years. Ive done the steroid shots and they did work for awhile, but now I’m really debating between getting a complete knee replacement or these gels shots. I’ve heard the gel shots really work well and I’m at the point of just being so tired of limping. This is literally effecting my way of life. I have 3 kids and I can not walk for long periods of time without taking a break or slowing down with a limp. I’ve been trying to get some new medications for swelling via the VA, but that’s like asking a politician to tell the truth.....(POINTLESS). Either way, I am definitely about to research this gel shot stuff more and seek out a professional clinic to possibly have this procedure completed. I’m at my wits end at this point.

    No ultrasound required ? I would think it would be useful incase you damage other structures or poke/damage the hyaline cartilage more than it’s already damaged.
    I also read PRP is better as it reduces inflammation and also stimulates healing.

    • @APBCTechnique
      @APBCTechnique 3 года назад +2

      Ultrasound can’t see inside a knee joint. Only sees superficial structures. PRP is a pro inflammatory agent, that may worsen an inflammatory arthritis. Steroid and visco supplement are the way to go in the elderly. Prolotherapy and PRP may help younger adults and Middle Aged. I start with a steroid and visco supplement and after 12 weeks may progress to PRP or Prolotherapy once inflammation has settled.

    .Arthritis is caused by a bacteria ! called Chlamydia Pneumoniae is a very common bacterium, estimated to infect 40-70% of the population .Chlamydia Pneumoniae ; here is a website where you get information www.cpnhelp.org/ .You can cure arthritis , lupus ,msm with antibiotics ; tetracycline, clarithromycin, doxycycline 3 to 4 different antibiotics it takes about six months taking these antibiotics to cure arthritis , But...but no Doctor in the U.S. will do it ! only in Mexico in private hospitals and it costs 4 to 5thousand dollrs for the treament to cure arthritis .
    The cure for auto-immune disease is good idea the removal of all the Mercury that is in the mouth that your Dentist put in as a filling or root canal, Root canals harbour bacteria and cause inflamation and many diseases .
    . the Best would be to go to a dentist and pull all your teeth out they cause inflammation in your body due to bacteria and follow a organic plant base diet .Magnesium is the best for heart disease ; If you have heart disease or a fatty liver you should not eat any type of oils or fat ..ZERO !! eat organic plant base diet , take 3 grams of Vitamin C a day ,Take 1200 mg of magnesium every day 2x6 ;if you have heart disease or damaged liver get this book or watch video ; Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" by Caldwell EsselstynDoctor Essyltyn

      I’ve been getting these on a series of 4 sots for the past 6-7 years and they provided relief as opposed to cortisone shots that bad with repeated usages. I’ve never had my P. A. Inject lidocaine first and then the gel. It’s always been sanitize , freeze and then shot and then each week one shot for 4 weeks.

    Is this injection painful ?

    • @jondstewart
      @jondstewart 3 года назад +1

      I hate to say it, but yes. I also have a low pain tolerance with needles. I had cortisone injections initially the first time around and had a bunch of excess fluid taken off. Cortisone works right away, but doesn’t last more than a week or two. The gel injections on the other hand take 4-6 weeks before you notice anything and last maybe 6 months. But it only cuts the pain in half for me.

      Its not comfortable but its not too bad. The relieif you get from the injection is worth it though
