- Lisa was down with a cold, so it was a good opportunity to hit the road and do a solo wild camp. February has been so mild, I thought I'd leave the tent at home & try out the tarp my brother brought me . Things didn't quite go to plan on the way up.
Below is a link to a full length version of a song I played not long before I crashed out that night .
This is my music channel .
• Oh My Old Love live on...
Because you'd be the bloke they remembered, the dude with the Harley, the biker..... the modern cowboy. Etched into a memory, the inspiration for a new generation of freedom livers, bringing it back to what it is. To be human under the stars, in front of the oldest thing known to man, a fire.
And in that moment, the fractual reality repeats itself. A living cowboy teaching the yout.........
Just beautiful brother … you should write a book . Lisa read that out to me as I sat editing this weeks film and we both just went ‘WOW’
@@LeanIntoTheWind just reflecting back your vibes dudes..
Btw, what is the last bit of music to that video? Its also on another. Absolutely love the rhythm and the keys in it.
Took pics of my old photos of previous bikes to show a work mate. A 400/4 and early 750/4 built by the 81 in Notts. I work with older 1%ers. I've also lived as a traveller, outcast and outlaw (not the clubs), I have always done my own thing and in the words of Alistair Crowley "with love".
I love what you share. Thanks
@@yodab.at1746 think the music is by Tye Riverside Ramblers , tune called dead in Scottsboro .
@@yodab.at1746 Sounds like sorta photos I’d love to be seeing on my lunch break ! Nice dude .
@@LeanIntoTheWind Thankyou so much.
Love the "An American Werewolf In London" reference.
@@ScottNelson-nk4sx haha I forgot that .. love that movie 🍿
Cheers pal
If you lose you keys you can start the bike with the PIN. In the back of the owners manual are a couple of cards with full instructions. I always carry one in my wallet - you also need to know your PIN.
Cheers for that . I did have pin on my phone , but not instruction card , I’d have had to watch RUclips demo . I’ll carry that card now . Thanks mate
Another brill video, locations, situations and great story telling without words, or at least very few, thats life on a motorcycle.
Yep, that sinking feeling when you 'misplace' something and you can see the consequences unfolding before you. I always give a great smiling Whoopaa to the sky to say thanks mate for getting those things back to me.
Cheers Lean into the wind.
Ah mate, really appreciate this comment , many thanks dude !
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Mark please don't change your format, it's bang on perfect, It's always a joy to watch. Your musical taste is soooo right for your laid back chilling footage.
Thanks so much .. I was a bit worried as this one starts in dark for so long , and I rambled on a lot talking , I guess as I was alone , so talking passed time haha
Thanks for comment , I really appreciate that ..
Story teller, chef, no hands rider😂 and now singer musician!
Multi talented Sir!
Great vid again 👌🏻
Haha cheers but you left out ‘The Key Loser’ & ‘The Key Finder’ !
Thanks for watching.
Happy to have come across your channel! Your both so Real--don't change a thing! 😊
Thank you so much for the kind words - glad your enjoying our channel 😊
👍
Another great video, its all good. still waiting to get my RKS out with work, weather & the family it will have to wait. We hope Lisa is well soon that old British cold
Thank you, I am resting up - bit jealous I missed out on the seals 😊
Cheers for watching mate .. hope you get that bike out soon … Lisa a little better tbh , but there is a load of it around at the moment… I’m trying to avoid people as I hate getting that damn lurky!
Best wishes
It's funny hearing Mark shout he's usually very calm and chilled! 😁
This made me laugh out loud 😂 there is another side to that man !!!
@@LisaSchubert13 And his music of course .
Hi great vid love that part of Norfolk Hunstanton to Cromer is a great ride. Then a stop at Sandringham campsite
Yeah I love that part , got pals there so head that way a fair bit .
brilliant, really enjoy your vids
Thanks so much for watching and the lovely comment 👍
Blimey, what a trip down memory lane. I grew up in Essex but spent all my childhood holidays up in the North Norfolk coast. 'A bootie' also took me back too!! All the best from Devon 👍🏻
Ah that’s good .. My mum lived there for a while , I’ve always loved Norfolk .
Bloody love Devon too ! Best wishes from us both
Secure bike parking and free accom always available down here
@@grahambarber2766 Super kind of you mate !!!!
It's a nightmare living down here. I can't decide whether to ride across Dartmoor to go camping or over into Cornwall!! 🧭⛺️🎲
@@grahambarber2766 oh don’t … I hate you ! Haha Love a Dartmoor wild camp … it’s just stunning . West is the best … can’t wait to get that way ..
Really enjoyed this little adventure 👍 funny how the simple things can bring us so much pleasure, great vid ✌️ PS, if I drive off on my Indian without the fob when it loses contact with it the horn goes crazy 😅 only caught me out once, your a good egg bro 🙏👍
@@markshawreflections850 thanks mate . Was actually a fun little night , can’t believe how mild it was for Feb .
The Indian horn blare sounds like a good idea! First time I’d ever done that . Lesson learnt.
What a beautiful thing this video is!
The style, the pace , the music blending the sound of those pipes, the filming. It’s got it all. Well done young man. Seriously nice piece of work. I came to this following the accidental discovery of your vlog of your trip to Sicily which again was wonderful (highly recommended for anyone who hasn’t seen it). I’ve subscribed because I would be crazy not to!
This is the greatest comment of the month haha .. Thanks so much for the vote of confidence! Learning a little more every week . Appreciate the sub
Best wishes mate
Glad you found your keys , what a result , you got some nice drone footage and your bike sounds great
Yeah I was so happy !! Many thanks 🙏
Did that with my keys once...not so lucky.😂 took me an hour to get through to Mrs for override code which I couldn't remember broke phone week before which had code in...anyway finally got going traced backwards saw them on road ..thought yes...as closer no smashed.. £115 to replace.....😂😂 👍
Oh man that sounds like a night mare! I had the code on my phone but have never done that so would have had to watch a ‘how to video’ but yeah I was dreading the money wasted on buying a new one . I normally put keys in pannier , will make it a golden rule now .
Another great video Mark.
So glad you found your keys, I changed my pin to one I can remember as some dealers apparently use their own codes and 'tealeaves' sometimes know them so can half-inch your bike if left unlocked for a few mins ! Ialso have a spare key that my wife brings on longer trips as I have a habit of misplacing them !
Yeah I had pin on phone
But I’ve never done it so would have had to watch video , I’m sure I’d have sorted it was more worried bout cost !
And we do same
Long trips two keys always .
Didn’t bother for one night …
I normally put keys in pannier .
Will stick to my rule . Thanks for watching again man . Hope you’re good
bet that felt like a massive win finding them!!!
Alright Matty .. stoked ! That could’ve been costly
Another fantastic video. Keep up the great content. 👍
Many thanks !
Nice video and story 👊✌️
Thanks mate .. was a good night , a little too much drama with the keys . But all worth it
It's great to be able to record own soundtrack ;) sounds brilliant buddy
Cheers mate , just gotta figure a way to carry guitar , Lisa , film gear & all the camp gear .. and no , not getting a side car .
@@LeanIntoTheWind With a sidecar you will be able to take the dog as well ;) Other option is to take a friend with you who will cary the guitar ;)
Don’t tempt him to take the dog 😂
@@UncleLongbeard if I get a sidecar I’ll take the dog and the drummer !
@@LisaSchubert13 😁
From the very outset of your channel and travels it's been class throughout 👍
Thanks so much for that !
The peril of keyless rides hay😮 does your bike have the codes to start your bike without the key present?
Looked like a sweet wild camping spot and the grub looked very nice.
I did some winter solo tarp camping in Normandy a couple of years ago when visiting the DDay beaches it was a fantastic experience until I got rudely awaken one night by a wild bore sniffing around my camp 😂
Yeah it does have a code & I do have it logged in my phone , however I’ve never done the code . I’d have to watch a video on it . But worst thing is buying another fob … I never wear that waterproof jacket I had on didn’t realise the Velcro don’t stick .
It’s a lovely spot shame I wasn’t there when it got light as scenery stunning . But wanted to get to seals . Jesus A
BOAR !!!! Mate I’d have freaked out !! Haha sounds like a funny night ! Cheers for watching
Have a peep at wingman if the road tents , quality canvas gear , like a modern cowboy swag , you'll love it
Thank you , but I’m really anti them … you just hit a nerve , my mate had one , They like a swag .. with mattress and bag all in one . They weigh a ton . And the mattress has no R Rating , my therm-A-Rest will keep you warm in the snow . And my 3 man tent , sleeping bag and mat all combined a lot smaller than wing man swag and probably less than half the weight , my mate used his once and sold it . It was so big it made his triumph look tiny . If they get wet they take forever to dry . They definitely look cool if you solo .
But in my opinion there is much superior gear that is so much better in every way .
@@LeanIntoTheWind I got rid of the internal mattress and sleeping bag , I use a shooting mat and merino wool blankets. It is heavy , but I'm perched on a old 88 goldwing 1500 so it's already a whale 😁
@@blackholeson-pp9ue haha Beautiful Golding take anything . Perfect 👌
@@LeanIntoTheWind I live full-time in a big bell tent , I have the same disdain for houses that you have for cars. My wing is getting a resto after 38 years and too many maintenance shy owners, it'll be in the road in next 8 weeks then I can make weekend excursions like you do . I'm up near Glasgow, if you're in this area in the future ... ...
@@blackholeson-pp9ue Ah mate that’s amazing .. I got some pals live in Teepees on a farm in Glastonbury, growing their own food totally off grid
Have to admire that .
Good luck with the GW , be great to have it back on the I bet .
Mental note taken if Glasgow bound , many thanks 🙏
That’s definitely one of my favourite beaches in UK. Never thought of wild camping near there, but why not. Like your tarp set up - an Abel Brown Nomad tent would be a good way to go, half tarp, half tent but keeps the bugs out. Loved the singing, a real talent 👍
Cheers for watching! I was camped a fair way from Wells , I was over an hour away . I’ve camped under beach huts at wells .. years ago . But you can’t leave motorcycle there anywhere ! Not heard of that nomad tent .. but love sound of that !
In the summer I just sleep in bag on the sand , but definitely need a tarp this time of year . Thanks for kind words
That tent looks excellent!!!
One of those cheap little beach shelters are a perfect compromise for a quick basic overnight wild camp. I still use all my military issue kit, bivi bag, poncho, roll mat etc as I'm too tight to buy ludicrously expensive civvy kit that I'd probably trash anyway having the touch of a heavy handed Caveman!!
Damm dude yiu pisse the wife off last time.now she'd don't wanna head out in the cold with you anymore hahahha😂 Probably too cold for her anyway.
Hahaha ! Nah she saving her strength for Scotland in a couple weeks ..
I loved all of this!! I have so much to say/ask!
Was that you singing and playing the guitar? Fantastic! How did you manage to get all of the camping gear AND the guitar on the bike 😱😂
Well done for being so lucky and finding your key.
I’ve always wanted to try camping like that with a biv/tarp! I think I’d struggle but would love the challenge.
And finally , hope Lisa is feeling better 😂
Thank you , I’m resting up - I was definitely jealous of mark seeing the seals !! He will have to take me back 😊
Hello dude . Yeah I was playing & singing . I don’t normally take a guitar as when Lisa comes we have a lack of room . I keep meaning to buy a travel guitar as that would fit on handlebars. We fit all camping gear on the bike when 2-up . So solo tons room , and I just took tarp , they fold so small .. in the summer I don’t bother with tarp , just take sleeping bag and a mat . Nothing better than going to sleep star gazing . Lisa still bit rough and has fomo from missing out on seals . She loves it there , in summer we been swimming and seals bobbing up around you , pretty surreal . Maybe when weather warms , we should hook up and do a beach … just need a couple sleeping bags ! I’ll cook you & Cat some grub . Park the bikes up like a pair of dark twins !

@@LeanIntoTheWind 100% I would love to go and try it!! I’ll try and convince cat aswell it’ll be great!.
I never knew you could get travel guitars ! That’s awesome
@@LeanIntoTheWind Is this you!!!???? 😱😍
Saint Antony helped you find your key fob .
So that’s who it was, well somebody was definitely helping Mark that night 😊
He done good … finding that muddy lay-by was not easy in long dark road .
@@LeanIntoTheWind If you ever lose anything he is the Saint to ask .
Hi mark, another great vid mate, can I ask what you use to hold your phone on to your bars please ? cheers neil
Thanks Neil . I got the Quadlock set up , it’s such a good system . There is the mount which works with the quadlock phone case . But then you can get it wired to the battery so it’s always charged … and a dampener so it doesn’t destroy camera in phone . Locks in beautifully and has never come out .
interested in a centred Satnav holder/mount for TomTom fitting the FLHRXS like a glove?
Cheers mate but my phone does me fine .
Never had used sat nav till just over a year ago ., but I love it now , I just use google maps . Thanks though
I’ve heard Seals are more intelligent than Dogs ?.
Yeah you must be wrote they don’t trust humans .
