When you opened the tent to show us the new day, I welled up with tears at how beautiful it was, the fresh snow, the tarn and the mountains revealed after the previous day's whiteout. Stunning and so, so peaceful and still with the sun peaking through the pretty clouds. Thanks so much for taking us along on your adventures. ❄❄❄
It was a great night in the Lakes. I love the silence you can get with heavy snow. Although, a waterfall spoilt that during the night where I was. Saturday was absolutely stunning.
I cant wait for spring to start! I live in finland where this year winter started on october! Only now it slightly started to loose grip! I remember one week in early january where the MEDIAN temperature was -22 celcius... Im done, spring can come.
Swap with me, I love proper winters and snow. I'm in the UK, level with London, to the west and all we've had since October is Rain rain rain, the occasional frosty night and rare bright day, and then back to rain rain rain, like a flipping monsoon. Give me your beautiful Finnish winter. 😉
I’m in bed with the worst flu I’ve had in years, high temperature and all the crummy symptoms etc etc….. feeling sorry for myself until I discover another wondrous adventure with Alan and Blue. What you put yourself through for the sheer joy of accomplishment over adversity reminds me to suck it up, think positive, that this rubbish feeling is only temporary and tomorrow calm and peace will resume. Thank you dear Al for your continued inspiration, I know without doubt that you have helped me over these past few years to help many of us through the stressful times knowing better times are just around the corner. Thank You 🙏
I’ve had to pull a blanket over me just to watch you in all that cold! Down here in the South we’ve not had a hint of snow, just relentless rain, puddle fields and overflowing rivers. Stay safe you two 😊
One of the best episodes mate. What a scenery. And you and Blue in full potential as always! Terrific! Watched it with my wife for the first time and she also loves your channel. ❤
Sometimes its great to just enjoy yourself on the water! You always pick nice days too 😂 zero wind or ripple. Nice video great music n thanks for the parcel you know what im talking about 👍👌
Stunning scenery and ambience at the tarn. Blue is now ultra- camouflaged with his new rucksack. That tent sure did a great advert for itself. Hot chocolate and coffee again?!Top film Allen. The 🐐 The 🐶 ❤
Such a good dog, I took my Labrador to Brimham rocks in November and he surprised me by not wanting to jump over the edges, brilliant video many thanks 🙏 x
Blue is definitely living his best life, definitely getting all the stimulation he needs. My cousin has a dog just like him, I recently looked after her for a week. She is reaching the end of her life now and lived her whole life in a block of flats, a crying shame.
Nice to see you and Blue again, love your accent! - the brutality of the weather conditions is not a film!!!! Thank you to Blue to have tested the path for you! I see how Blue is elegant in the way of eating, adorable while, as you say "elated" - We share with you - hurry up to sleep to dry up........thank you for this thriving post. Love to you and Blue.
The Lake District is a great place to "hear the silence". Same at Sprinkling Tarn too. You speak a lot of wise words there, and not stupid. Great sense of humour, combined with awesome photography, plus lovely Blue catching the snow. Beautiful.
I love to watch Blue in the snow. Our first Border Collie would leap in the air to bite the snow coming out of the snow blower. Our second loved to catch snowballs and even bite the shovel when cleaning the stairs. Our current one loves to roll in the snow like Blue and drinks no water in winter, prefering to eat snow. You have to love them! I live in Ontario where this winter we have had almost no snow and a record warm winter. Great adventure and it gives you so much joy. Looking forward to many more.
I'm so happy to see you have another video here . Our winter in Southern Ontario Canada has been so absent of snow!! I come the East Coast of Canada ,there it always was a great snowy season. Enjoy your time .Thank you once again🇨🇦
Another great video, the walk down swirral edge, the snow the peace and tranquility of solitude in the morning at Red Tarn very special times thanks for sharing this with us
Thank you Al and blue don’t know if you both are crazy being in them testing conditions but you are definitely both brilliant amazing scenery, thanks Al and blue all the hard work pays off and more great memories for you,you both take care 👍👍
Aces. I know I will never be able to go the places you do, but you inspire me to get up everyday and try to get as close as I can. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
I just come back from dartmoor. My appreciation for the effort it takes to film yourself in those conditions just went through the roof. I attempted to film myslef properly for the first time. Started well, and then the weather came in. I did my best but i now know what its gonna take.
I so enjoy your videos, not just for the beautiful scenery and the camps, but also for your bubbly, cheerful personality. You brighten up my day! Thanks so much for sharing.
This makes me want to get out there and challenge myself a little, I am 66 so not like you young fellas - still there is life in the old dawg yet! Good on you mate, truly inspiring, and your dog is a true treasure!
WOW Al, That still water reflection in the tarn was special - you could use that to give yourself another haircut! Your snow vids always make me jealous. Nice mate 👍🏼
Fantastic video 😊 The vista was absolutely breathtaking, I loved the blue hue and yes it looked very eerie 😮 I had a good laugh at Blue trying to catch the snow as you wiped down the tent 😆 Another great adventure from Bushman and Blue ☺️
Love watching you and Blue , awesome doggie and you are so positive about everything . Even when the weather is stacked against you smile and get on with it . Thank you .
Waow, what a film, I was gripped from start to finish. The black and white colours at the tarn along with the low cloud made it look like a film set, with added sound effect of the wind! And the reflection of the mountains in the water in the morning was stunning! Amazing, thank you!
Love your channel, and love that beautiful blue, what you do is amazing,I watch everything you put out. I live through you and blue, the mountains are beautiful,be careful, and safe!!!!!!!
Some beautiful footage from an amazing location. The reflection of the mountain in the water looked like a massive sink hole. Stunning. I’m not sure who had the better time, yourself or Blue, but what a fantastic way to spend some time. 👏👏
Just stunning. The beauty of the tranquil landscape is such a privilege to experience. Your appreciation of it - and your adventurous spirit - is so very endearing....makes me want to get out again (despite only just back from a solo hiking/camping trip!). Lovely video. Thanks for sharing and hope you both thawed out once home! :)
Wow❤ You do make me smile, Al. You camp in worse conditions than many of us would hike in 😂 AND 55,000 people love to watch 😮 What an inspiring, amazing, adventurous person you (and Blue) are👍
Dangerous trip down from the summit but it's always good to test yourself a little and you had krampons and the dog while also using your brain so all good. Tent held up well and the last day was really nice. I'd call that a very successful trip and quite enjoyable to watch. Good stuff:)
Amazing how responsive blue is to your commands! Top training you must have done for him and it pays in these types of scenarios, can’t have him running off and getting silly or out! Lovely video again mate!
Hi Al. Long time no talky. Up to your old tricks again with Blue I see. Blimey, Im shivering just watching this one. This looks brutal then an ad comes up with a holiday abroad in the sun! I know where I’d rather be and it ain’t up there. Got my Staffy on the sofa next to me. Don’t think he would like it either, but Blue with his coat is much better suited. Another fine mess you got yourself into! Bet you couldn’t wait to get next to the fire. Take care mate and keep em comin!

Some cracking winter conditions right there Al! Nice time to hit Helvellyn as well given the footfall it otherwise receives. Had the same experience lately with the gloves also, never had a pair of leather mountaineering gloves but hoping they offer that little bit extra resistance to the moisture. Anyway all there best - BR
