Vane/Eleanor || Same Mistake [3x02]

As soon as I heard this song I knew it was for Vaneeleanor, but after the respective V and E discussions in 3x02 (you know, the "You traded it all for a girl!" and "Charles Vane betrayed Edward Teach for you...?") this video just fell together. I especially enjoyed mixing in the Ned Low drama, since I think it's the best example of Vane showing his true feelings for Eleanor. Even if she really doesn't get it. ("I know Charles Vane!"...yeah right woman, you have no idea how much he would've sacrificed for you, you little trash baby.) I've been tweaking it all week and if not for the real world getting in the way it would have been done two nights ago. That aside, I'm super pleased with how this turned out. I think it's one of my favorites ever and it's definitely my favorite VE video that I've made. Here's to more Season 3 angst and the impending reunion! If I could just get one more VE kiss (even if it's rage-filled), I could die a happy vidder. ;)
Btw, can we talk about Scott babysitting Vane? That's my favorite thing ever. Also, I'm loving Edward Teach and the Vane/Rackham bromance scenes. Basically, I'm loving everything except Eleanor being a traitoress. But what else could we expect from our favorite queen of thieves? Ahhh, these two are such heartbreaking, complex OTP material.

P.S. ZACH MCGOWAN ON THE 100 YOU GUYS! My heart can't take so much of his perfection on my screen at one time. But if it kills me, so be it. I adore his character and his chemistry with Clarke. Even though I'm a staunch Bellarke shipper (yeah, I'll vid them eventually too), I'm thinking a Clarke/Roan vid might have to happen. I just love editing him...I can't help it.

So I've never actually seen Black Sails; I found out about it when Zach Mcgowan came to play Roan on the 100, and at some point this video popped up on my recommended feed. Since then, I've pretty much watched every ship video of Vane/Eleanor. What a love story, huh? He kills a cruel pirate captain to protect her and she betrays him? I could tell just by watching this that Vane loves her, and it's heartbreaking when she locks the gate on him. Your video is perfect though, and I love the song you picked.
+RachelRooneyR First, WATCH BLACK SAILS! The show is so underrated, but it's phenomenal. Of course, the Vaneeleanor storyline is my favorite, but all of the other characters are great too. (Especially Jack Rackham). When Zach ended up on The 100 too, it felt like Christmas. I'm thrilled to see and vid him on two different shows. As for the VE love story...it's definitely unusual. There's a lot more to the betrayals and emotional connections than first meets the eye. Their complexity is a dream/nightmare for vidding. Thanks for watching!
