Muy buenas recomendaciones, me encantan! Allow me to recommend one extra thing/place: Vega (Calle de la Luna 9). This is a fairly centrally located entirely vegan restaurant/tapas bar and their food is honestly delicious. Costumer service is also very good and the staff treat you very well. Vegan it may be, but Spaniard approved, I give you my word!
@@spainrevealed De nada! Just keep in mind it's quite a small place that can get full very quickly. Might have to reserve depending on the time of day. Only real downside that came to my mind.
It’s cold and wet here in England today and watching these wonderful videos just makes me want to return to Barcelona or go to Madrid for the first time and experience food “ like a local “ thank you both so much.....
Thanks for this! I have vegetarian and vegan friends and family and I needed this information. Also, I love to eat lighter many times so this expands my options. Excellent videos, as always.
All of these recommendations sound incredible. I can't imagine any omnivore being disappointed while tagging along on this vegetarian tapas crawl. I love that in Spain, vegetables and mushrooms aren't just an afterthought. All of the care that goes into growing, cooking, and presenting them really comes through.
Great video thank you. It shows that you can be on a non-animal diet without eating boring and tasteless food. My favourite vegetarian dish of all time is churros!
Myself and my boyfriend bumped into you in a Lavapiés cafetería just the other week, thanks for stopping and chatting to us briefly! This new video almost feels like it was made for us - I'm a recently-turned veggie whilst my boyfriend is a jamón obsessive so these recommendations will save us a lot of precious (eating!!) time when deciding where next to try. Can't wait to get over to San Lúcar! Muchísimas gracias James y Yoli!
Thanks so much for this video! We used most of these recommendations on our trip to Madrid and ate really well as vegetarians. Your advice really made our trip. Thanks!
Love all your videos! They are helping me a lot for my move to Spain in less than a month! I especially loved this one as I am a vegetarian myself, so Thank you!!
JAMES!!!! My boyfriend and I are from Canada and just moved to Seville! We have become your biggest fan 😍😍😍😍 your videos have been super helpful since arriving here. Keep up the great work!! WE LOVE YOU 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Have only been back a month and I miss Madrid! So beautiful! I don't know how you guys stay slim. I gained 10 pounds in nine days (all off now) and I loved every pound. The food is amazing and so are your vlogs. 🇪🇸❤️
I have watched a lot of your videos and I want to say you and Oly have such great chemistry and quite obvious!! Oly - eres muy guapa!! You guys are inspiring thousands to come and visit Spain, Portugal and Europe in general. Great job. Keep it up!!!!
James and Yoly! You two are beyond awesome. Every video I watch about vegetarian options points me to a place with mock meat or non-Spanish food. I am not looking for an all-vegetarian restaurant and I am NOT vegan. This video is a breath of fresh air for me (I am a vegetarian) and is EXACTLY what I am looking for. Thanks so much. I think I will have to choose between Pez Tortilla and Casa Toni given how little time I have in Madrid.
Thanks so much. This is so timely. I’ll be in Spain in two months and was worried about finding vegetarian foods. Now I know the veggie movement is spreading. You have put my mind (and stomach) at ease!
Another fantastic video, James and Yoli! My partner and I returned to Vinoteca Vides twice in a recent trip to Madrid - we absolutely LOVED it. Thanks to Laura for her awesome service and for the memorable wines!
I really liked this video! I'm a vegetarian. I have felt the change in restaurants from serving the tomato, and lettuce salad for vegetarians, to offering a wider range of options. And like James mentioned, I like finding vegetarian options in regular places. I really like many of the places you showed, my favorite, the last one, I love cheese and I love Spanish cheese: Smoked Iberic (mix of goat, sheep and cow milk). And When I come, I would love to visit. I would love to see a video on cheeses, if you think there's enough topic to cover it. PS: 17:08 That toast was absolutely loving.
Thank you so much for catering to a variety of gastronomic tastes! Most youtube video travel food shows concentrate on meat, pork, chicken so it's great you are all inclusive. Gracias!
muchas gracias por el video!!! Voy a estudiar en Córdoba el semestre proximo y soy vegetariana, asi pues este es muy ayudable para saber los tipos de tapas que puedo comer
Dear James & Yoli, Thank you for all the videos but this one in particular is very helpful. I love your enthusiasm and love for Spain. We have already started having really late dinners to get ready for our upcoming trip !
Thank you so much for this video! I love your videos but I’m a vego so I’m so happy you’ve made a vegetarian food video! And I love that you didn’t go to vegetarian only places
You guys are amazing. I know Madrid like the back of my hand and have never even tried these places. I am going to go to every single place you recommend.
Aw, too bad you didn’t post this just a couple weeks ago. I was in Madrid with my family and we are vegetarian, but not to worry, I actually had watched many of your videos to find out where to go to eat on our limited one day stop in Madrid, and i decided on Cava Baja. We went to Posada del Dragón because I wanted to see the historical wall you mentioned. It was great! We had the tomatoe plate, the bravas of course (I think I have tried all the different ways they make bravas in the different regions lol), a cheese plate, and something eggy. Ugh, as a vegetarian, I love eating in Spain! Many preps are simple, but because the quality of the ingredients is so high, it’s bliss in each bite. Mahalo for all your wonderful videos!

Hi James. Just got back from my four week stint in Seville. Checked out many tapas bars. Thanks to you and google reviews didn't experience any duds. My highlights Eslava for the honey pork you recommended. Wow! Tried to return there but it was packed out. Also had great Paella at Pelayo bar de tapas. Bumped into two foreign couples who were also following the James Blick trail. You are certainly making your mark.
James, as per suggestion went to Casa Toni - did NOT disappoint! Thanks for the tip about half portion, tried a lot of dishes and fully recommend this place.

Hey, I was looking for this, thanks! We will be moving to Spain for a while in a few months, starting off in Madrid, but we mostly eat vegetarian at home and we were a little scared of how that would work out in pork and fish heaven. But these dishes (and places) look great!
Excelentes recomendaciones! ;D
Thank you for showing that we can visit Spain and eat vegetarian at restaurants too. My husband and I follow the Blood Type diet and blood type A should only eat a very little chicken, egg, and more varieties of fish.
Thanks for that James, a really useful video. I'm no stranger to trying to eat vegetarian in Madrid and have found a few good veggie places over the years, as you say it can be tricky when people think that ham is a vegetable :-) Some great tips in there. My partner Chris likes a good craft beer, so we will definitely try some of those places on our next visit. Me, I drink cider so the Asturian Sidrerias can be good for me and there is one I like near Opera that we visit whenever we are in Madrid. We spend more time in the south and I have already done some videos on Eating Vegetarian in the Southern Spain on my channel too. Loving the channel guys. Andy

I am spanish and Iived 2 years in Denmark. You have plenty tapas places in Denmark, and in just like in Spain, very many "tapas" includes no meat...Also, off course you troll, Denmark have magnificent fish.
I'm a vegetarian and Spanish cities have improved but eating out or at people's homes is still a minefield. Chickpeas and beans are often served in chicken stock as is vegetables soup and salads often have tuna or ham mixed in. As for eggs, I prefer to only eat eggs from small organic farms or homes and pretty certain most bars and restaurants use the cheapest, nastiest factory farmed products.
Please download the Happy Cow app! It's like Yelp but for vegetarians, shows you all vegan and vegetarian places around you, as well as vegan grocery shops and places that serve meat and fish but have veg options :) Also there's a TON of vegan places in Barcelona :)
Hi James, I was just watching this episode of Spain Revealed where you tried some vegetarian tapas. My question/comment to you is, how do you know the tapas are really vegetarian?. For example, if I have to order patatas bravas, I would have to ask if they are fried in the same oil as the fish or meat because you would have cross-contamination. I always have to ask if they have a special oil just for meat and a separate oil for vegetables. I have been to too many places where they advertise vegan meals but they don't think of the cross-contamination because they only think about not using meat, but as Yoly knows el sabor esta en el aceite and I can always taste the fish or meat in my patatas.
Your channel is just the best and makes me smile !
