    Dear Tony, thank you for your wonderful videos. They are very helpful for our trip to Spain in June. We would like to visit Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, and we need your advice for the ticketing. My daughter is a university student below age of 25, my husband is over 65, both of them are qualified for free access to the museum. I need to buy a general ticket.
    Should we buy one ticket online and get the two free admission tickets on site? Or should we just get three tickets on site on the day we visit the museum? Or should we buy three general tickets online in order to save us time for queueing up at the ticketing office.
    And about our itinerary, we can visit the museum either on Thursday/Friday or Sunday. We also would like to go to the old town. Is it better to visit the museum and old town on Thursday and Friday and tour around in the city on Sunday or vice versa?
    FYI. As for Saturday, we have took your advice (as we communicated before) and booked ticket to visit Royal Palace of Madrid and all the other amazing places near the palace (as recommended in your other video).
    Thank you again and your advice is very much appreciated.

    • @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal
      @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal  Год назад +1

      Hi Lucia. Since you will have to queue for one of the tickets, why don't you get them all in one go once you are in Madrid? If you go early in the day the queues shouldn't me massive (insider tip: there's an entrance at the back of the building, through the modern red structure, the queues there are much smaller). As for day of the week, hard to tell, there are tourists in Madrid from Monday to Friday. All the best!

    Hola Tony, Thank you very much for the information. We just got back from a trip to Spain and we really enjoyed the Museo Geominero. It was so beautiful and we really appreciated that it kept its historical feel - it felt like being in a library in Hogwarts. Although the exhibits were all in Spanish, it was easy to figure out the elements and minerals in English with our basic Spanish. Please note that we needed to show our passports at security to get in, but luckily we had them with us. We appreciated that the museum was free and did not contain a gift shop. Thank you for posting about it, our guide book did not mention it. Muchas graçias!
