My wife and I just got back from our two week vacation in Madrid and other parts of Spain. Thank you for all of your videos! We took a lot of your advise and it made traveling so much better. Both Spain and Portugal are beautiful countries and I cannot wait to come back in the future.
Hola Tony, Thank you very much for the information. We just got back from a trip to Spain and we really enjoyed the Museo Geominero. It was so beautiful and we really appreciated that it kept its historical feel - it felt like being in a library in Hogwarts. Although the exhibits were all in Spanish, it was easy to figure out the elements and minerals in English with our basic Spanish. Please note that we needed to show our passports at security to get in, but luckily we had them with us. We appreciated that the museum was free and did not contain a gift shop. Thank you for posting about it, our guide book did not mention it. Muchas graçias!
Glad you liked the Geominero, it is such a lovely museum. And free! Good reminder about the passports! In any case, in Spain you must carry a personal ID document with you the entire time. All the best!
I can't wait to go back to Spain to see the Sorolla museum. In your list of special recommendations, you have listed 19 of the 20 museums... I believe the natural science one is missing
Thanks for reminding me about the Sorolla Museum. I didn't get a chance to visit it on my first trip to Madrid but will make time when I visit Madrid next February. Love your videos!
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal I just returned from Spain and did get to the Sorolla. It was such a lovely place! I loved both the house and the art. Visiting this museum just makes you feel happy. I wish I had bought tickets online in advance though. We waited for 45 minutes to get in on a Saturday morning. I had no idea it would be so popular. It is my favorite museum in Madrid now.
@@connieosness550 hello Connie, great you had such a superb time at the Sorolla (minus the queues, museums tend to be quite busy during the weekends). The museum is truly special, being as it was the artist's residence. All the best.
It’s a great video!!! I’ve just spent 4 weeks in Spain and 2.5 of them in Madrid basically walking around with not much to do. I new only Prado, Reina Sofía, Thyssen- Bornemisza, and Archeological. To my great disappointment photos are not allowed in both Prado and Reina Sofía.
Thank you, Tetyana, hope you had a good time! Hard to understand why photos are not permitted inside the Prado and the Reina Sofía but are allowed inside the Thyssen museum. They are all national museums run by the Spanish government.

Hi Jacob, we don't have a list but we have something that could somehow be of help: check the video, wherever we recorded video images it is because filming its allowed. If there are no internal images (El Prado) that's because photographs are not allowed. All the best.
