- I am new at Cricut and this was one of my first projects,. This is also my first ever video so hopefully it isn't too bad. Hopefully this helps someone out there.

I attempted to do some sweet 16 foil invitations, after 2 invitations that was the end of that way too much I just didn't have the energy. You are very advanced and your invitation is beautiful.

Thank you for your tutorial! I want to foil quill with my cricut and after that I want to cut the cardstock. It is a mess because when I pause it's difficult to took the foil away. Do you have a tip for me?
I had the same problem, that's why I took out the blade and just cut it using a paper cutter. Takes a bit longer but a little less stressful.
Can you make acrylic invitations with a cricut air 2?

I used a Canon ix6820 which is a little pricey but the ink lasts forever so it ends up being worth it!

Hi Yasmine. I really love your video. It’s hard to believe you’re a beginner to Cricut. You are amazing! I’m just curious. Do you have to use an inkjet printer or a laser jet printer to foil quill? Also, I can’t tell from the video whether this is embossed. Is it embossed?
It doesn't matter what kind of printer you have. I have inkjet but the foil quill does not rely on the printer. It is not embossed.
Quick questions? You are using print to cut paper for invitations? 2nd was that expensive seeing how many guest were attending? Thank you your tutorial was amazing!
I did use the print then cut setting for the invitations, but I took out the blade because I did not want it cutting it for me. I think what was the most expensive for me, was not having a tutorial so before I got it down I messed up a few foils and cardstock paper. Once I got it down it was a breeze.

I used cricut design space and the other one was the one that came with the template I bought off etsy. It's called templett.com.
What setting did you use in design space so that you can use the foil pen?
I used draw for the pen.
Is there any reason why you used the foil quil instead of the cricut foil transfer kit? I would just like to know if you prefer one than the other. Thanks so much!
Hi Kim, I made this video in September of 2019 and it looks like the Cricut foil transfer kit was released in September 2020. I haven't tried the Cricut foil kit, but it looks cool!
I have the same concept template also bought, but I am trying to do this on an arcrylic instead. I can't seem to figure it out..any suggestions ideas?

What type of printer did you use to print out the invitations? I’m thinking of purchasing a template as well but wasn’t sure if my printer would be good enough
I bought the Canon Pixma ix6820. I've only had it a few months but I really like it.
if you haven't purchased a printer yet, you can also upload your template to any printing shop even Staples or Office Depot and they can print it out in cardstock paper that normal printers would have a harder time processing. :)
Hi Yasmine! I am interested in the foil quill that you used in this video. I have seen the We R Memory Keepers quill in the store, but it is a pen type of appliance. Is that the same as the one you used in your video? If so, does it come apart so you can use it in the Cricut? Does it come with instructions on how to use it with the Cricut Explore Air 2? I am knowledgeable about foiling with a laminator, but I have never seen anything used with the Cricut before. Can you elaborate?
Hello Donna, The foil quil I bought isn't a pen type. They look more like attachments. I will post the amazon link to the ones I bought. I am unsure if the pens come apart since I have no purchased those.

Hi Yasmine, After I posted my question, I looked the quill up on RUclips, and I have learned a lot! The quill pen is just another version of the quill, that you can use on it's own. I also found out that it is made for the Explore as well as the Maker. Thank you for helping me. You did a great job in your video! I am going to try to make some invitations for a bridal shower, but first I have to get the quill!

How do you do these in bulk?
This looks amazing! I'm new to Cricut and been researching it, just wanted to know: could you use this on acrylic or the clear flexible card stock to create those clear wedding invitations? Or is it just best to use it with normal card stock/paper? Thanks!
I am also new and I am not sure if it would work on acrylic, I have only made it on regular cardstock.
Hello! Loved your video! Your a natural! Was wondering if you have figured out how to foil and cut?
In my video I removed my blade from cutting the outside but if you'd like you can leave the blade in to cut whatever design you'd like. the foil "draws" and the blade cuts so you can still use both at the same time.

I program that came with the template that I bought from ETSY is called Templett. The ones I used to Cricut is Cricut design space.
What foil did you use for this? I can’t seem to find foil that’s not adhesive foil. I’m working on mine this month and you’ve been a great help!
I purchased the We r memory keepers brand of heat transfer foil. They sell them in different sizes and packages but I will attach the one I specifically bought.

Hi Yasmine, I loved your wedding invites soo much you inspired me to go out and try diying mine.
I've beeng working on it for 3 weeks now, and I still can't edit the image/template to be able to delete the unwanted information and keep just the outline of the flowers like you did. PLEASE, HELP!!! Cricut doesn't let me upload or save as jpd in order to make changes...So frustrated. :(

I'm using the explore air 2
I don't know what I am doing wrong because my cricut does not mark the lines well and it comes out faded :(
i am not completely sure but you might need to mess with the pressure settings.
Hello can we print with any kind of laser print or it should be heat transfer print ?
I print with a regular printer and then used the foil quill.
