    I was at a wedding that had a Reverse image, GLASS mirror sign and our matching invitations of the sign. I asked the wedding planner in Sydney about them and she said it's a theme from the 1930's which was extremely popular during the depression for pubs and stores.
    Something the Bride and Groom can hang in their home for their lives as it doesn't yellow or break down after 70 years... Sure beats acrylic, which will yellow from UV Radiation.

    This might be a dumb question - I have only used my Cricut for paper - but why do you have to use transfer tape? It seems like it would be easier to mirror the cut and apply the vinyl directly.

    Hi and thank you for this video! I'm about to make a similar sign for my wedding soon and I wondered - do you need to sand the back of the acrylic sheet before painting it, so that the paint adheres better? And do you use any primer/sealer over the paint? Thanks.

    • @kiran48875
      @kiran48875 Год назад

      I’m learning as well, and some videos I watched they used “mod podge” to seal the backing and left it overnight.
      And some said they don’t seal at all 🤷‍♀️

    • @MelissaCrafter
      @MelissaCrafter  Год назад

      Hi ! I don’t sand before painting the back and I also don’t seal. You could seal it if you want. Maybe with a few coats of mod podge… or even clear spray paint maybe .

    Such a beautiful design! Is there an easy way to remove the vinyl so you can reuse the sign for different clients? If you scrape the letters off do you damage the board? I've just ordered a clear circle disk for my events business but haven't tried it yet

    • @MelissaCrafter
      @MelissaCrafter  2 года назад +3

      Thank you 😊 Yes you can easily remove it then wipe it off with some alcohol. You can do it with your hand to avoid scratching the acrylic sheet. You can also use removable vinyl as well and it will be easier to remove. It can totally be reusable 😊

    • @KreativeKittiz
      @KreativeKittiz 2 года назад

      Wait so you only do these for local people who you can pick the acrylic signs back up from? I’m a little confused. Do you tell them they are renting it? This is a legitimate question I am not being facetious💟💟💟💟💟💟

    • @MelissaCrafter
      @MelissaCrafter  2 года назад

      You can make them to rent or sell it for them to keep. Totally up to you. If you rent it you would personalize it and notify them that you will pick up the sign after the event. If your selling it to someone for them to keep you can do local pick up or ship it. These are very durable and won’t break in transit.
