BTW, I wanted to add something. When a person is going through a bad time it is common to lose sleep because you get stressed out and your mind is racing. It is the very lack of sleep that makes things worse. The brain must have sleep to function well, so whatever you do make sure you get real sleep. It will allow you to process what you need to when you are awake without being in a state of panic. Take it from a older person, sleep means good cognitive function, with good cognitive function you can work through your troubles. Be well, you will get through this.

Selling my truck and going back to a company driver in 2009 was a relief. The numbers don't lie. If they turn, cash out your chips and walk out of the casino. Don't keep playing thinking that your odds will change.

I know what you feeling Miranda, I am having a mental breakdown almost every week, having to leave Florida empty 600 miles all the way to Atlanta, fixing things weekly in my 14 year old truck, staying in a truckstop in a workday because the freight on the board is not profitable, and having to borrow from friends and family everytime a major repair needs to be done, what about that? Living the American dream big time. My accountant told me this year that i qualify for food stamps if i want to go there. The best part is that no trucks are going out of business and brokers are having a blast at our expenses.
Going through the same thing, Miranda. Myself, brother and dad sat down to discuss if we will push forward and renew insurance at the end of our policy in June. Seems like just as much comes in goes right out. How long can we hold the line. Thanks for your videos, been following along for awhile now. Perseverance will pay off.

Apply what you’ve learned regarding the set backs going forward, I really enjoy your content, and attention to detail with your research. What works for me is do not dwell on the things you cannot control it’ll consume and destroy you. I have lost a business in recent years during COVID and all the unpleasantry’s that come with it. Please take time to heal yourself mentally and physically I watch your videos and I can clearly see that this has taken a toll on you. I have daily routine to write down daily goals, exercise, healthy nutrition, meditation, affirmation every morning. It’s really sad to see what’s happening to the trucking industry, and most importantly to us truck drivers. Everyone please be safe and make good decisions.Prayers really do help!
Im really sorry that happened to you. I just started my business in trucking a month ago and the market hasnt been taking care of me at all especially living in Florida. But i prayed to my heavenly father and he has made a way for me to keep my business alive. Im going to pray for you and NEVER give up. So terribly sorry. I am on the LTL side of the business and the low cost competition and customers wanting to squeeze every penny of profit out of our company is sometimes overwhelming. I remember back in 08-10 there was a drastic drop in business. Trucking companies hauled to pay the fuel and that is totally unsustainable. It will get better for you in the coming months. Watch your pennies and stay strong. You will survive and be stronger on the other side. Take care
Honestly this is nuts. Ive been in this game for 18 years and it has never been so tough. I have 15 company teams and struggle every day to cover. Payroll is becoming a challenge , for the first time ever im late on truck payments, I dont answer the phone for anyone I dont know. I always had the best loads and contacts and was well known as the best dispatcher. Now my contacts and the "relationships" I have worked so hard to build and uphold thru exceptional and honest customer service are all forgetting about how a relationship is supposed to function. I would hate to give up as I am a strong and stoic person for the most part but I have mental breakdowns almost daily now. I hate what this has become. All my trucks were bought at normal prices and interest rates and the math is still not there no matter how many costs i cut. I have so many people depending on me and the weight is getting soooo heavy on my shoulders.

Feel you. I had 2 attempts someone trying to steal my fuel one my ID then there's the crappy load in a very hot and humid area and have to pay for parking then some just backed into a truck just next to me. I'm having a fuok this moment.

Just try to either find an outlet of enjoyment to give you balance to protect your health and or take a step back to find out if there’s something else you enjoy doing that still allows you to walk in purpose & preserve your health.
Stay strong problems will always come but it will alway be temporary. The good times will come. Dont forget that the bad times will always be right behind, so be prepared for it.
For God to give you this much to overcome, He must think highly of you. When you’re exercising in the morning try to stare at a single point and think of nothing. Don’t allow a single thought to enter your mind. When you fail, clear your head and start over again. Repeat until you can go 20 minutes without thinking. Take control of your mind or it will control you.

Only reason I didn’t have a nervous breakdown when I had my own truck was because I got to the point of accepting the situation and ended up returning the truck before I ended up in the street. You need Godly levels of stoicism to get through this market without blowing a gasket so I’m right there with ya.
Miranda you have every reason to have doubts about this industry and its future, but no reason to doubt yourself. You are very intelligent, insightful, and capable. People follow your channel because they sense your strength and wisdom. All of that will endure beyond these difficult days.
And to add, we're killing ourselves just to survive. Go with your family, go with your kids, don't deprive your family because of this bs industry, trucking will readjust itself just be patient.

Well my depression is in full swing. Stuck in Maine with the only loads at $1.15 to $2.22 at the moment. Everyone need to stop hauling this trash. So I’m going home and park for a while. I suggest everyone else take a vacation this includes the mega carriers. I know the larger companies are taking this cheep freight to keep their drivers moving but at this rate they are hurting everyone and prolonging this dread and preventing a recovery. We really need a minimum rate if this doesn’t recover soon. $0.55 a mile and it gets hauled is stupid

I been sick as hell for 12 days of a nasty flu. This stress is literally killing our immune systems, best judgement and ultimately our sanity.
I did go through same thing. With 16 trucks on this Market , and my advice is Run 😂.

Well my depression is in full swing. Stuck in Maine with the only loads at $1.15 to $2.22 at the moment. Everyone need to stop hauling this trash. So I’m going home and park for a while. I suggest everyone else take a vacation this includes the mega carriers. I know the larger companies are taking this cheep freight to keep their drivers moving but at this rate they are hurting everyone and prolonging this dread and preventing a recovery. We really need a minimum rate if this doesn’t recover soon. $0.55 a mile and it gets hauled is stupid
