This old man said to me something so simple, in such a short, compact and in a serious manner something that changed something in me. I was so pessimistic about everything, my life, the world. I just came across this video and I watched the other one just now and I must say, I'm touched. I came by real late but I still felt the impact of this sweet old man's advice. I don't think I've gotten any advice like this one. Not even from my parents. The way he says, we need you. The way he spoke, I didn't know when my eyes got teary. Coz my life right now is hard, it's really hard and I've just been trying to get by and hold on. I really needed this. I wish I could sit down with him and enjoy more of his wisdom. But now he's resting. May his sweet soul rest in peace with the Lord. Even in death, you're still impacting lives. Thank you so much. You were a gift and you still are.

A great man, whose inspirational words are forever engraved in the hearts and minds of those of us that were fortunate enough to stumble upon this video. RIP, Mr. Bernard Albertson.
Good and bad do not exist but people’s opinions and perceptions on reality do exist only for a short time until they die and sometimes their opinions will go on for a couple hundred years and maybe a couple thousand years but eventually their opinions will disappear maybe due to a catastrophe that wipes out most of mankind.
this is the only advice that almost made me shed a tear, and that is new to me. this man moves mountains by pushing with only a slight of his hand, and I admire him. he doesn't care what you think, who you are, he just wants you to be you and to keep the world turning.
Hello, i am 16 years old and have very low self esteem and was about to forget how to live in this world. This man, may he rest in peace, just brought me to tears. He showed me how important it is to not give up, and keep beleiving in myself. Im not sure what my furture holds, but if i see this video again, you all will get an update beacause i know that i will be a better person, i will improve myself, and i certainly won't ever compare myself to others ever again. Just know, if you're reading this, that being a young person in this society is hard. There are so many rules, but once you start believing, NOTHING can stop you. Just promise me, and Bernard that whoever you think you should be, you will be in the next few years. Please, for this man who only wanted to help others, be the best version of you.
I am sobbing while watching this. It randomly appeared in my suggested after a pretty bad panic attack. The world seems out of my control; it is 2023. Things are surface level good for me, but nothing is stable. It feels like it will crumble at any moment. Those in power seem to eat everything up in their greed no matter what we do, and those older than me (I’m 29) only have harsh words to give to my generation when we try to seek advice or share how confusing this time is with them. I’ve prayed for some older, wiser being to converse with, to show me the way, to hear me out. I’m so thankful for this video. I saw that this sweet soul passed away, god bless his soul. This was the answer to my prayer. I am determined to become the old person young people can turn to for hope and encouragement, like he did for me. Thank you. ❤

To think it's almost August of 2023. I leave for Marine boot camp soon, and this man has truly motivated me. I lost my grandpa when I was 8, and I was too young to grasp the wisdom he stored away. This is what I imagine he would have said.
@philip Trevor well, by giving us loving advice about determination and the strength of will power. "Never give up." Simply saying these things for those with ears to listen.❤ much love Phillip. Hope you have found your personal inner strength.

Inspirational video from an genuine soul. None of that vibe like he is trying to sell me something or monetize that I get from all the other self-help channels.
Well my bad has lasted for over 30 years and it don't look like it's gonna get any better any time soon.Just so sick and tired of being sick and tired I need some love and happiness in my life for once.
He said until his last breath he will help kids.. he recently passed and this video has also just gotten in everyone’s recommended. The old man made sure everyone has a chance to hear him 😭
An old man's advice is like a rare gem, shaped by the wisdom of time and experience. In the midst of our fast-paced world, taking heed of such wisdom can offer invaluable insights and guidance. Here's to cherishing the timeless wisdom passed down through generations
I just watch this wonderful man video and from the comments I’m reading I see he passed away and I’m so sorry to hear that. It seems like he had a heart full of love. May he rest in peace in heaven
Mom: why are you crying Because of this old man who told me he loved me and to never quit and is not with us anymore so that I can thank him for this. Thank you so much Bernard, rest in peace.
This is the best part of youtube, genuine people sharing their experiences and storys. His wisdom lives even in death, and that's beautiful. Rest in peace ❤
I needed this in this exact moment. I’ve been feeling like an absolute failure recently because of a mistake I made. It’s been so hard trying to get out of condemnation & self hate. All I keep saying is I wish I could go back in time and be smarter but I can’t. I really feel like I’ve ruined my future & my family. I needed these words. It’s been really hard. Really hard.
Yes it is hard. There is nothing we can do about the past, except let it go and learn from it. Let go, let go, let go. You'te not alone We all have regrets. Try finding someone to talk to, I find talking things out releases the inner pressure. Wishing you peace.
*This is the type of grandpa everyone wishes they had in their life giving them advice for any problem with life or when you are conflicted you can just simply talk it out*
People saying that “ we need more people like him” But how about us turning ourself like him, instead of waiting someone to be like him lets be better and be like him
Well we can't be exactly like him. But we can take a page from his book and learn. When we become around the age he did this video in, we can turn around and give loving advice to our younger generation and let's pray and hope to god they listen.
God bless this man soul. Fellow fallen brother your words are so powerful they have touched many hearts. I’m about to get out of military and as my last speech I’m going to mention you and your message. In honor of this man, please share this video. It’s not going to hurt you, it’s going to help others I promise.
This video has been recommended to me at meant points, but i never watched it. I never felt the need to. Today it came across my feed once again, and i was compelled to click on it this time around. And I'll just say, it is exactly what i needed to hear in this moment. May your words continue to inspire those as they've inspired me.
Thank you, Sir! I needed this, even though I’m 51. Just like you, I dropped out at 10th grade, and took it upon myself to learn computer science and had a great career the past few decades. But now as I’m older, I feel I loss the drive I once had, and need to get it back. Thank you for this inspirational video.
I have been revisiting these videos by Bernard and this man is the grandfather that I never had in my life. His hardships inspire me forever and the love he holds for the audience truly brightens my day. Thank you, good man, may you rest in peace.

Corrona virus: am I a joke to you
this is the only advice that almost made me shed a tear, and that is new to me. this man moves mountains by pushing with only a slight of his hand, and I admire him. he doesn't care what you think, who you are, he just wants you to be you and to keep the world turning.

Thank you. ❤

*This is the type of grandpa everyone wishes they had in their life giving them advice for any problem with life or when you are conflicted you can just simply talk it out*
I can agree with this
:( I never had a grandpa but um I do wish I had one.
I think I could actually listen to a lecture if it sounded like this
LIKE UNCLE IROH FROM ATLA (avatar: the last airbender)
He remind me a lot of my grandfather who passed exactly a year ago. We were extremely close so it’s hard to watch but it’s a good listen
People saying that “ we need more people like him”
But how about us turning ourself like him, instead of waiting someone to be like him lets be better and be like him
Well we can't be exactly like him. But we can take a page from his book and learn. When we become around the age he did this video in, we can turn around and give loving advice to our younger generation and let's pray and hope to god they listen.
Somethin to think about
