For the second story, i don't think he's in the wrong for not telling his wife about how he lost his virginity. I honestly think that you don't have to reveal your entire sexual history with your partner, especially if its something that they might not be comfortable sharing, example OPs sexuality. I think for this situation too, OP is 51, thats a generation that has a lot of negative history with mistreating queer people, so maybe that fact needed to be hidden for that reason. Not to mention, how his soon to be ex wife reacted makes me think she's homophobic and thats why he didnt want to disclose that info. So i don't think OP in the second story is in the wrong
While it's very possible that the wife might be homophobic (either a little bit or a lot), I don't think it's that unreasonable to be very surprised and shocked that your husband, who you taught was straight for all those years in marriage, just goes with a dude (and not any dude, like the dude he lost his virginity with) right after you're separating. Personally I'd feel a little betrayed, like he didn't trust me enough to tell me this stuff (and ofc there are a pletora of good reasons for why the guy might never have), and I'd start to just feel like I never even knew that person, despite all those years together. Once again, completely plausible that she's just homophobic, but if it's not I'd understand her. It'd be like if I worked at job A but I just told my wife that actually I work at job B, the pay and the benefits are the same but I'd still be hiding something from my life partner, maybe a lot of people don't care and are fine with it but just this feeling of being left out hurts bad. So if the wife isn't just a homphobe I'd say the husband is a little bit of an asshole (even if re listening to the post goddamn was she an asshole too for how she responded)

I’m a bisexual man and I’m open with my current partner (who is bisexual as well) but honestly I never even considered telling previous partners I had. About the second story: My take is that it was never brought up because it's none of her damn business. What someone did outside of their relationship should be irrelevant to the relationship itself. It's not like the guy is a violent criminal or something. It could 100% have just never come up. If I was married to a woman and found out she's a lesbian, that would feel horrible for me, yes. But if I was wed to a bisexual woman, then nothing changes. Inversely, if someone I was with kicked up a fuss about my sexuality when it doesn't affect our relationship, then I'd 100% leave that.

I want to say about that second post, that i had a partner (my last ex) who i tokd her i was bisexual like 2 months into the relationship (he lasted like 18 months) and during the whole relationship she will ask me really awkward things about my sexual experience with men (which at the moment i didn't have, but she didn't believe me) and make me uncomfortable in multiple occasions with just coments about it trying to mock me. Soo i understand that some partners are not the best people, me and my ex were both 20 and she still is occasionaly homo/transphobic without realising it (like when i introduce her to one of my friend and later at his home she asked "Soo she is a man or was a man?") Soo i understand that if he knew her for 18 years and was married to her, he had a reason for not come out
No matter how long you've known someone, no matter how close you two are, no one is entitled to know your personal information. It is not a-hole behavior to hide your sexuality from someone, even from your sexual partner. That is a part of you, not anyone else, and no one needs to know about it.
