Mr. Alfredo and the Chicken Parm Mistake is adorable. It’s great to have a positive post on the pod, and it’s nice to see people so actively care about each other.
It's projection, she is still in love with her ex, she thinks he is too. She probably thinks this is normal. She is irrationally afraid of pushing him back to his ex with any kind of memory.
Creative reading - the child creating a casket for their father is worth far more than simply purchasing won. Get it twisted, the way you frame a story determines how correct you are.
Wait people actually buy candles every year? In my family we bought just some random candles and all the numbers from 0 to 9 twice and we made do with them. The candle are perfectly good, it's not like they burn for more than a minute at most. Also it's very easy to forget to get the candles for a birthday, so having a set of ol reliables makes perfect sense in my mind. Absolutely boom behaviour, stop wasting so many good candles!
The Tupperware of reused candles did save my parents money. I was 1/5 kids, so they got a lot of uses out of them. The real money saving tip is to have less kids
I was about to say: With how different the thumbnail was, I've almost missed an episode or two. But then I clicked, and my goat is back. So glad to read the podcast's name on my screen.
I'm uh. Actively listening to this podcast while playing a game on my laptop and doing my midnight reports at work. It's the greatest time to listen, since a WOTC lasts almost the perfect amount of time.
The chicken parm option is sooooooo easy here. like Joseph said, you could just suck it up and eat chicken parm once a month. Or, you just get her to make you chicken alfredo some time and make a big show of how much you like the alfredo and be like "wow honey, THAT'S my favorite food now, incredible!"
The end result is still really good, but the councel members are really undervaluing the power of lying. It sounds so easy and garuantees he can get the alfredo after she switches over.
30:10 was this a Patreon episode or are they remembering their head cannon surrounding the post of the wife who was upset that her husband is now working his dream job and now money's tight?
many years ago burger king that the chicken parm sandwich and it was the best fast food menu item in the country and i havent seen it since like 2018 god i miss her.
The third guy has to tell his wife. For the sole reason that they've now put it on Reddit. And if she finds the post it goes from being a very cute misunderstanding to an actual problem
I have a similar setup with a lot of downtime while I'm remote working. Even the two days of the week we're in office, pretty much my whole office is on our phone on youtube or something if we're not taking a call/email. It's just like that sometimes.
About the prequel to the second story: I have an Ultrawide Monitor, am I wrong for playing games on Windowed 1600 x 900 and leaving the window on the top left corner of the screen, so I can have access to the Discord tab in the background while watching videos, animes and streams on the big-ass corner on the right side of the screen? And the third story is making me rewatch the episode, I'm loving it. Might be one of my favorites, followed by collabs - at least the ones posted on RUclips.
2nd story, it could be something where there are chores or something that she's like him to help with if he's not doing anything. Just trying to think of it from a different angle. Though, if that's not the case, keep gaming away
9:18 ok to be fair a little, (american here so i may be inaccurate) in italy and other european countries, they have wash cloths alongside their stand alone bidets, so the OP is on the right track... they just need an actual bidet lol
Europeans be like "la Di dah we have free healthcare and decent social security... Now use ze trahditional shitragu to wipe your arse btw we are going to opera in 15 minutes" Fucking disgusting
I'm a little bit puzzeled regarding the Chicken Parm story: Could he not just have said that he startet to like Alfredo more now? Or is it impossible for people to change their favourite meal?😅
The Chicken Parm incident happened to me too, kinda. When I was like 8 years old my parents asked me if I liked chicken with Marinara (which we call Red Sauce) or with cream sauce (White sauce) And I had no idea what any of those tasted like I never payed attention to that in my life I was 8 years old But I like the color red so it would be fitting if I liked the Red Sauce And so that's how I've spent 10 years of my life without eating chicken with the actually good sauce
On 1st story... tsk tsk tsk our boys are faltering and turning into their woman hating ways. Not once did they consider that the guy is C L E A R L Y massaging the post making the GF look insane. Reading between the lines it is clear that the Guy is clearly constantly talking about his Ex that is making the woman feel extremely uncomfortable and insecure. Why does she feel insecure about sitting on front? Because the guy keeps telling her that it used to be the EXs seat and repeat this for the every event. THEY DIDN'T EVEN CONSIDER ITS REDDITOR GUY TALKING SHIT ON REDDIT NONSTOP CLAMING THAT THE WOMAN IS INSANE! This is a classic case but it seems Misogyny lives strong on N E R D podcasters. My faith in the boys as feminist allies is really faltering because of this. Do better.

i probably wouldn't go as far as to say she's still in love with her ex but what you're saying is most likely true to a lesser degree
Y'all gotta consider one thing on the casket part: maybe the dad was a cheap bastard who would've loved it
I have joked that I want them to just Giant Swing me off into the woods and let nature handle it.
The dad actually put a condition in his will where if the child payed more than x amount of money they wouldn't get anything at all
@Ironpecker you've given me a fantastic idea

Find someone who loves you like Mrs. Chicken Parm loves Mr. Chicken Parm

It definitely depends on the conditions of the candles. If that shit gets dirty at all then it's best not to put it on food lol
I cant believe Joseph, Danny and Jordan spent a whole WotC episode scooping up gutter oil in Chinese sewers to save money, gosh they are so frugal
The parm story and associated comment stories could just be its own subreddit, the wealth of stories is immense
24:25 "hard for some listeners", yes, literally
The Tupperware of reused candles did save my parents money. I was 1/5 kids, so they got a lot of uses out of them. The real money saving tip is to have less kids
To be fair to US bar food, our menu is mozzarella sticks and chicken wings, that's just deconstructed chicken parmy.
not gonna lie, wasnt expecting the image to be changed midway but its fitting

40:17 As an Aussie, Chicken Parmas and beer at the pub are the peak of our culture no doubt 😂
Just want to say the casket one is a boom don’t let the funeral industry abuse your grief to get you to overpay.
okay but the No Buy poster in the intro was right because stealing is awesome

They make a dollar and I make a dime
47:27 this was one of the best stories ever.
The third guy has to tell his wife. For the sole reason that they've now put it on Reddit. And if she finds the post it goes from being a very cute misunderstanding to an actual problem
Ok but like, not having to buy birthday candles for 6 years is actually impressive.
my family was never particulary poor and we pretty much always reused birthday candles

thumbnail goes hard
Denji-core subreddit
the last story is was so cute i could explode
Got a chicken parm for lunch because of this episode
I had a friend who would wait for someone to throw their soda and popcorn at the movies and just get the free refills instead of buying it.
Also I hope that one day he has to tell her on his deathbed, and then lets her know that parm became his favourite in the end.

Its amazing how this podcast can swing from "Gaycation" to "Mr.Chicken Parm"
40:10 wait your default pub food ISNT chicken parm??!?
Nah we get like burgers, wings, French fries
Can I just say chicken “parm” sounds weird af. Third best name after Parma and parmi 😂
Did those other nerds really not watch the box episode of Futurama SMH
2nd story, it could be something where there are chores or something that she's like him to help with if he's not doing anything. Just trying to think of it from a different angle.

Yeah, I feel like this is the super easy solution to this lol
@@PhoenixLance13yeah and he did the super easy solution. It was easier to tell her.
