Life on Mars is up there, for me. Maybe his Opus Major, but all of 'Hunky Dory' is superb. But also 'Rock 'n roll Suicide' is a favorite of mine. Yeah, and all of Ziggy is very fine, of course.
@@loopyloulou6230 I love all his first albums. Especially the album "The Man Who Sold The World" and the album "The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars". But all the albums before those two were great too. In my opinion the best songs of "The Rise and Fall...", are Ziggy Stardust and Moonage Daydream. And the best songs of The Man Who Sold The World are Running Gun Blues, Width Of A Circle and Savior Machine (which curiously speaks about artificial intelligence) 🤘🏼
I watched the Nirvana performance on MTV that breathed new life into this mostly forgotten song and when I found out it was a David Bowie song said why did I not know this song. Bowie himself had not performed it live in a very very long time but because of its new found relevance once again began performing it live and even said after Kurts death it seemed like a tribute to Kurt despite the fact he had composed it himself. This interpretation again breaths new life into a gem of a song ... and resonates to me that yes rock and roll is still very much relevant and can save our souls. Nine Pound Hammer has a new album out of mostly covers the lead of which is "Rock And Roll Radio" by the Ramones from their 1980 Phil Spector produced album "End Of The Century." I looked up the Ramones discography and was surprised to find out the Ramones only had two albums chart in the top 50 over the course of their career. "Rocket To Russia" and yes "End Of The Century" .... go figure ... "End" is not one of their better albums but it does contain "Rock And Roll High School." Anyway ... this song has a thread of legendary artists to go along with it ...
Insane. You are one of the most talented musical shapeshifters I’ve ever heard. If I hadn’t seen this video, I would’ve really thought Green Day did this cover!
Absolutely phenomenal!! I’ve been meaning to ask you for a full version of “Territorial Pissings” Megadeth style, but don’t really know how, so I’ll just hope you see this. Great video, man. Keep up the good work!! ❤
Great Video and cover, I loved the sound. and instant sub after the Alice in chains collab comp with the other dudes. I'm suprised you weren't vibing " Hitching a ride " for this cover though. What you came up with was fantastic either way!
I keep having a "Green Day" cover of Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues floating around my head and it sounds similar to "Stuck With Me" and "Basket Case" Also one of That's Alright by Laura Mvula that sounds similar to "Wow That's Loud"
This is fantastic! You know, I would love to see Pearl Jam’s Ten be done! Hearing Alive in the style of Soundgarden, Black in the style of Tool, and Jeremy in the style of Alice in Chains would be so cool!
Dude, the amount of energy and love you put into your videos and songs is amazing! Love it all! (Im still just wondering how the full version of slipknot playing rain when i die would sound lol).
I couldn't even wait for the opening commercial to end before I had to type what an amazing concept this one is. Can't wait to hear your actual rendition! EDIT: F#@% yeah!!!
What’s your fav Bowie song? Of all the greats mine would have to be Starman. Always Gets me feelin some kinda way. ✨
space oddity, and it was also cool when astronaut Chris Hadfield played it up in the international space station.
Quicksand
Sound & Vision is pretty good, can't imagine many bands covering that. (Also, great work on these, your Billie Joe is uncanny!)

Brilliant! I hope this finds Green Day themselves, bet they'd love it!
I hope so!
If not an acknowledgement would show .
Great stuff Steve
at least it's not AI ! they would prefer your reprise a lot better ;)
Don't give them any ideas
This reminds me 'uno' , 'dos' , 'tre' trilogy era. Just brilliant!
I love how the vocal style is a mix of Greenday and Bowie
The thing i love about what you do is showcasing how great these songs are, they just work in whatever style.
You can also do some inappropriate combinations, though. Like 'Rock and roll Suicide' in a bossa nova would be terrible.
You did it again. Genius!
Incredible how you implemented Green Day's typical style.
I definitely will listen to this a lot. Thank you Steve!
Thank you! 🤘🏻⚡️

I’d love to do more!

David Bowie + Green Day 😍 awesomely adapted and performed!
This definitely gave 21st Century Breakdown vibes and I loved it, absolutely killer mate
Insane. You are one of the most talented musical shapeshifters I’ve ever heard. If I hadn’t seen this video, I would’ve really thought Green Day did this cover!
Man this is incredible. YOU are the best! Pink Floyd, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Green Day... Oh God. I love all your videos, really❤
this feels very, very, 21st Century Breakdown, but also a dash of their two new singles? Lol nice work
Loved Bowie's melodies. Took a while to get used to his tremolo... and still not totally a fan, but his music was brilliant.
This dude is next level, constant good quality content
Always the best covers and the most beautiful hair ! 😂🤘🤘
💁♀️ thank you!
Once again, here I am having feelings that don’t even exist.
This is so awesome and you completely nailed it!

Another masterpiece. I wish I could buy these ❤
Wonderful, I love your work, applause 🎉👏, I would like the next one to be by Megadeth, I love how you sing like him
That worked way better than I expected.
Banger after banger, you rock!
Interesting. I wasn’t sure what that was going to sound like. Surprisingly heavy!
Totally amazeballz mate - I need to sing this immediately
Omg - Thank you - that‘s so Special - what a great Version
Absolutely phenomenal!! I’ve been meaning to ask you for a full version of “Territorial Pissings” Megadeth style, but don’t really know how, so I’ll just hope you see this. Great video, man. Keep up the good work!! ❤
I’m looking forward to this as well

I keep having a "Green Day" cover of Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues floating around my head and it sounds similar to "Stuck With Me" and "Basket Case"
Also one of That's Alright by Laura Mvula that sounds similar to "Wow That's Loud"

Brilliant work, mister cover master! What if the Doors wrote '21st Century Schizoid Man' or if Black Sabbath wrote 'Hotel California'?
