Hi, I had the timing chain replaced and I till have some rattle/tick once the car is started. It is much less than the video but still, I can hear it. Is this normal, do tensioners need second for oil to quiet down?
it's the same for me, with the window down on a quiet road at low speed I can hear a regular tapping/clacking type sound. It doesn't sound like the scraping sound in this video I must say. I'm not sure if I should be worried or if that's just normal for this engine. Inside the cabin you cannot hear it with the window up, the car behaves normally.
Great video thanks, what milage was the car?
Thank you very much, really useful info!
Is good to buy use l322 2012 when they changed the timing chain?

I had timing chain replaced and it’s still a very loud idle, it is literally just the sound of the engine
@@BigRyOnThePS Hey, thanks for the reply. Any chance you have it recorded?
They should have replaced the chain and sprockets with later model year items as they are the revised parts

Is the chain expensive to fix
Very expensive
Short answer, yes.
After driving it, it sounds like it may be coming from above my passenger tire
Just a poor, costly engine. Just avoid them and buy something reliable and easy to run, and maintain.
Very bad car
No, it’s not.
Mine has over 300k miles.
@@Eye-it-azz Is it a newer 2.0 Ingenium engine?
@@mrlilmatt123 Pre-2020 from what I know
