I dont think people realise how insanely hard that 880 is to operate. I ran one multiple times, and I’m more then glad it’s gone. Massive hat off to Kevin. He’s fitter then most 30 year olds. Mad!
I agree. Mine's a giant pain in the ass.
@@batmantiss yeah they absolutely are. It just feels so much different to a 661.
For no reason 😅
@@WingspeedGarage what do you mean bud?
@@PimSchoutenWhy climb with a 880 😅
From one arborist to another your a madman for climbing up 130' on a single lanyard 🤯
Must not love his family...
I’m glad someone said it, he even gaffed out on the second tree, but still only uses his second line when cutting sometimes, shis crazy stupid
@@mobilityjewellerydesigns399 the guy just had a kid... Insane behavior
@@sempi8159 I have to use a second line all the time even if it’s a straight pole and even if I’m only 5 metres off the ground, why take the risk. Even the professionals have freak accidents
I absolutely enjoy watching your videos myself having been a climber in the early 1970’s. My down fall (literally) came when I fell 55 feet landing on my feet resulting in a compound fracture of my 2nd, 3rd,and 4th lumbar vertebrae. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and a year in traction. By Gods grace I could walk though with a limp and returned to climbing phone poles as a lineman for four years. Thank you for the chance to feel like I was up there with you.

😂 you must be built like a cat...I jump off the 1st run of my ladder and me knees feel like snapping
Sure Gordy is happy to hear you are off the tube salad 🤣
What a team! I love watching your channel and Game of Trees. Y'all put out great content. You're just missing August up there with yall and it would be the three greatest tree channels on RUclips!
Nice to see Kevin again!
I started tree work when I got out of prison!!! lol been doing it for 9 years now, gotta say I love the work beats a factory !
Amazing footage and nice climbing ! 880 in the tree...crazy, i used a 90ccm Husquarna few weeks ago on a beech and after 4 cuts my arms where out of power...
Thank you
Id love to see a video about the importance of health and fitness in the tree industry! Maybe get tips about longevity from Kev? Would be sweet. Awesome video dude!
I’m humbly tracking my Ketogenic diet @ ageless Arborist on RUclips 😃
Can't believe you had your 462 stolen Jacob. That saw was awesome 😢
You guys work hard but I can see you really love it.
Awesome footage, I appreciate it
As always great content the clip at the beginning of what to expect in the eps: is great touch.
Kevin is awesome! Love that guy!!🪵🪵💪💪💪
Enjoy your videos, keep them coming.
I started the carnivore diet in September. I went 3 months, before having a "cheat meal". I ate pizza, and it tasted fantastic. However, the next day, my gut hurt, I felt achy, and my joints didn't seem quite as limber. Couple days later, I was good again. Tried pizza again a couple months later and had the same reactions. I'm sticking to carnivore, from here on out. Once we clean up our diets, it's crazy how certain foods make our bodies react, and I at that crap for decades. Congrats on the diet fellas.
Chlorine dioxide
I’m never going back , 10 months in.
@@GameofTrees I'm going to stick to it from here on out, as well. Take care Kevin.
Thanks for your hard work! Thanks for sharing. Best Regards.
Thats a huge white pine, wow
Im not a cutter, but i set chokers and yard logs on the coast of WA. I can confirm that working out in the WA winter sucks beyond measure. Cold, wet, and miserable.
Love working the riggin when the weather is nice, not so much when it’s 34 degrees out and pissing sideways!
@@ryanstewart1521 couldn't agree more!
Southern wa or op?
@@JeffErlwein like 60 miles from Oly. On the coast.
What an adventure!
How I would just be un heaven to have that wood. It seemed so perfect t heat my home for quite a while. Nice seeing the teamwork in felling the big boy trees. Thank you,
Nice work
That was a good one.
Awesome
Thank you
Lake Wenatchee in the winter? That's crazy right there Jake!
I could watch you guys all day. Hello to Kevin by yhe way from Myrtle Beach, SC.
I love South Carolina, Lake Jocassee area
Man you guys got one hell of a work out. Especially Kevin with that giant Pine. Dude is a stud starting that 088 up in that tree.
Thank you
What an exciting video guys but please be careful and play safe. Peace.
Thanks Sandy
Hum, snow mobile and or ATV is how we get to a job like this
On the way out we saw a snowmobile rental . There was a check for that if I would have known 😂
Visiting Kevin is 59? 🤩 Wow.
Wow can't imagine taking the 880 up in a tree 😂 Good vid Jake ❤
Damn! I'm 50 and used to climb for the cable company, and I can't imagine still climbing, let alone trees / tree work. Well done!
Getting old is not for the weak.
I'm 40 and just learned how to climb last year. I hope I have 10 more years in me because I love it!
Thank you!
Nice job.
Climbing with an 880 is insane... I remember one of your eastside videos you finished firewooding a tree with the 880 and I was blown away by it, and you were what 28-29?? He's 58!!! Insane. I'm an east coast guy and I have a 661 with 32" or 36" and it feels massive for around here, you guys swing that around like it's nothing
Thanks Brian!
Welcome to hiking into your cutting area! I should take you out on some of our trail maintenance in Oregon! Lots of videos on my channel!
Dang! That was a trek to that last huge tree, but it is WA in the winter. Glad that one is done. Y’all wore me out. 😂
24:21 that looks like an barberchair in the making...i wouldn't even try to fell that tree...that is THE job for professionals...
Game of trees is a great channel 🥳😁
Thank you!
Nice 😊 🥳🤠💪🤙💯💯💯👌👍
Hey Jake have you ever thought of doing a how to climb or some tips and method and some secrets to using the spurs and getting comfortable. Well, as well as one can be comfortable. I’ve been climbing for a year well off and on and it would be nice to learn some trick or methods to being more efficient. I know time is the key but would be nice to learn from you. You make it look so easy. Especially when you’re going up a 5’ round tree. Ahhhhh
I do a lot of teaching like that @ Game of Trees
I also wondered what happened to John's custom saws. Great content as always, Jacob 🫡
Thank You Gentlemen for the amazing footage. hope that gaff out wasn’t too bad Kevin, did it bite you ?
Wenatchee can be a cold SOB. I’ll stay on the west side until about June. Haha. Lake Chelan is beautiful come May through September.
Thanks again * 3-2-2024 Lake Stevens WA.
You guy's need ice fishing sleds for that way more stable!
We have several in Wisconsin 😂 they don’t fit on the plane😃
Massive hat off to Kevin. He’s fitter then most 30 year olds. Mad!
Thank you
sux about ur 462. thieves will sieze any op to take stuff whether u r close by or not , so it pays to secure everything even if for a few mins. great to see Kevin. great video. lots of snow
The guys over at Is_woko use the ms880 up in giant trembesi trees. All the guys running the 880 gotta be super ripped.
Yeh! the first channel who do the Carnivore diet. best choice ever. Great tree content.
That last tree was a rear monster.
While in Wenatchee shouldve popped over to hooked on toys get a better sled for your gear.
Talk more about carnivore diet sometime. I've been reading about it. Considering it.
Highly recommend
That was quite the hike. Pulling a sled can be a lot more difficult than people think when they keep wanting to tip.
here’s an idle thought. As I was driving across Alligator Alley, Looking at all the cypress trees beginning to bud, I wondered; “ Can Red wood trees grow in south Florida? If you can answer, that’d be good, but if you know someone who knows someone, that’d work too. Be careful in those slikkery trees. Yes, you guys Rock.
Redwood will not grow in Florida:) or many other places. Giant Sequoias are less picky but not in Florida:)
Hi, I'm a fan of yours from Italy, I noticed that in America you practically never use the screw wedge driven by an impact drill, in my country in Europe it is used a lot for a question of speed and to save effort, I wanted give you the idea of maybe buying one or borrowing one to see your opinion. Congratulations for the videos you post
I’ve seen those. Much of the time, in Wisconsin, we pull with a rope, but that drill is an idea…, but for the cool Axes 😃
my brother lives in Wa. state, loves it
Awesome flopping!
Thank you
You should work with us in Southern Illinois. We have many different varieties of trees out here. It would be interesting content for the channel
I have worked in Carbondale:)
Jacob, build you a box to keep your saws locked up…..😩
Sorry to hear your Husky 462 got stolen out of your truck! Might have to buy a bunch of same key padlocks and lock those saws down. Your biz insurance should help cover the replacement cost, if you have that particular theft endorsement. Should also look into and get biz interruption/biz continuance policy, as well as the disability insurance WA state doesn't have by law, i.e. law might require 6 months STD (short term disability of 6 months) and LTD is your dime, or the other way around. LTD saved my life at 42!
You need to come out to Victoria Australia and cut some big Redgum ,funky shape swampbox or mount ash. No square grind chain here just semi chiseled or tungsten 😅
Hats off to the guy. 880 up the tree in freezing rain. You can't tell me that was anything but absolutely miserable.
Thank you, yes, that would describe it:)
I'm thumbs-upping this one based on the first 5 seconds. 500 in a tree? Yes.
Thanks
You should review a husqvarna 576xp
Mr. Kevin - Mad Man in a Tree - I've used a McCullough 60" bar chainsaw on the ground and my hats off to Anyone using any saw larger then 42" in a tree - my main saw was a 28" Echo and it was a workhorse
Thank you sir, had to do it to honor Jacob’s trek with it😅
I must have watched the 8 stems being dropped on Kevin's channel previously but not the Pine.👍
I have two videos on the pine job. 😃
Noticed Jake’s 661 idles slightly high after a cut, my 661 does the same and wondered why it does that
Brutal
No more tube salad!
😊👍
59 kudos!! Killin it!!
I’m sure that 462 will end up on Craigslist, OfferUp, or in a pawnshop in that area.
As a sawmill owner, I died a little each time those logs landed on each other.
I'm in Chelan about an hour or so from Lake Wenatchee. Crazy early to be cutting in the snow, must have really wanted that tree down. Why not just take it from the base? Was there too much in the tops to let it go over? Great video as always.
Cabin next door
Kevin is such a lovely man. He's just so earnest I find him difficult to watch. ✌I'm sure the fault lies with me.
My wife says the same thing😂
Bless ye, sir. And thank you for taking that in good spirit. There is no doubt in my heart and mind, you're a good man through and through. 😊 Mark, in Scotland@@GameofTrees
If you had to choose between your 500 & 661 for someone who’s going be primarily bucking firewood and maybe felling some trees here and there (east coast), what would you go with? Thank you.
I need to figure out a way to make a full wrap for my 261, can’t even get a hold of John because he fell off the face of the earth 😂
How do you (or I guess I should say how did you) like your 462. I bought one almost 2yrs ago for cutting a bunch of trees around my house. I love it but I haven't seen many professional guys using them. They all go for the 500i. I don't need mine long term so I'm going to sell it when I finish my project but I really wish I could keep it!
I went 500. They are so close in weight it seemed the better long term purchase even with the extra cost. I think it's a lot more now I think it was only like 1200 then.
Lets goooooooo
Sorry some lowlife took your 462, what a bummer! Saw one on marketplace yesterday for sale
Jet sled
We have several in Wisconsin
You're allowed to fell white pine in Washington? It's illegal up here in BC.
It was a hazard by two cabins
Just picked up a 461 to start tree work on the side. Couldn't swallow the 1400 price tag in the 462c. Sucks to hear someone stole your saw man.
Kevin uses his live line but you dont, is it more difficult with both of them?. I want to get into it I just moved to north Alberta, Canada.
It is more difficult but it is a safety standard I have always employed.
Come visit me in MAINE! keep up the good work. Stay Safe Guys!
-Arbor Ed
Maine has some beautiful places. What part are you in? I have property in Parsonsfield and love it.
Can we get another arborist reacts video?
Was that a long day or a log day😂
17:17 Ooof, that poor steak looks like jerky! There's no color left. 😢
Здравствуйте,подскажите пожалуйста какой диаметр верёвки используете для страховки?
Mine is 11.8mm
Nice content bro
Appreciate it!
JCS is back, I saw last week he was spamming the biggest stihl fb group with a link to the fb group he created. I forget what the group name is but apparently he’s still alive lol
Anytime I have to use an 880 I know that day God is laughing at me.
I think so.
He knows suffering builds character!
Yay Carnivore diet!! No wonder you're so healthy!
Anda hebat sangat berani , tapi kami disini duduk di cabang ketika menebang pohon
It feels illegal to be this early. :)
Steak for lunch. Cool. Whatever happened to those bags of salad you use to eat? 🤷🏽
I’ve moved up in the world! 😂
I dont know why but I thought Kevin and you where the same age
Well, I’m going to take that as a compliment 😂
What about the giveaway for the ported Husqvarna climb saw? spent some money in January at sappy supplies and don’t see anything posted about a winner…
Oh, shoot, we need to post that on the site! Sorry about that! I did make a post about the winner on the Instagram account though
@@GuiltyofTreeson did I win?
#Carnivore for life!
Yes
Fun fact, I was born in 2004, so I'm about as old as his degree.
😂
Не как ты с этой длинной шиной расстатся не можешь и с этой 880 .😂
