Assault is a badass get in your face class, just have to understand how it recovers shields. Gun strikes that dont kill give you a shield. So parry or evade counter, gun strike then finisher gives you 2 shields per 1 majoris Also, heavy attacks that dont kill will open up for a gun strike kill. That's another way to get shields by hitting minoris. Try to get heavy attacks on minoris then gun strike to get that shield. Sprint, melee light, gun strike on a minoris, very reliable way to get a shield But assault at level 23 finally completes the rotation and the build. Open on minoris mobs with ground pound and rack up the skill time recovery. Do twice if needed in a row. Dont forget to gun strike knocked down minoris for a shield if it appears after a ground pound. Once minoris is mostly wiped, finish off the majoris through parry or evade gun strikes. Or melee light, melee charge. Or just melee charge. To gap close, sprint, melee light, melee charge. This works well on most majoris For bosses, you have a +50% perfect evade window and +50% gunstrike damage and gun strike that dont kill give you a shield. So evade, gun strike gets you a shield. Parry, gun strike gives you a shield against the boss during a fight. Throw in heavy attacks in between and you are golden. It can go toe to toe with melee bosses, probably the only class that can Style 2: use ground pound to snipe majoris. Get perk that does 100% more damage with smaller radius and 20% skill regen. Great way to push in the gunner majoris

I've only played assault and I've just hit level 20, and so far, I've been using the dash attacks that you described, but I've not paid much attention to target priority. As far as I can tell, you're suggesting that the assault's job is to focus trash mobs first. I suppose my biggest issue there at the moment is reliably parrying large numbers of enemies.
"Perserverance" doesn't work. It's supposed to make it so that you cannot be knocked back or lose control while performing a charged attack. Not only CAN you be knocked back while performing a charged attack, but almost EVERYTHING can knock you out of performing a charged attack. It's....frustrating to say the least.
If they gave the class the plasma pistol this would sort of fix the range issues as well as help the character play a bit more, hit-and-run type gameplay which is what the devs seem to want here
yeah definetly needs buffs, he cant stay in close range so he constantly needs to be on the move nice playstyle but the perks is not enough to support the playstyle and he ends up being high risk low gain class. Also the passive ability, dodge window increase is feels kinda useless
This would be true if this wasn't a team based game. Maybe it's just me but I do alit better with this class than any other. I don't expect a sniper to succeed at clearing hordes like assault just like I don't expect assault to 2 tap majoris enemies. Hisbpistol does well enough with 1 tap headshots to minoris units just get more ammo capacity in perks he's fine. Plus his double ground slam. He's a unit
@@BlackViod I wouldn’t call him a unit, he’s fragile as shit for a class that needs to be in the thick of the fight. Bulwark is the only other melee-focused class and it’s insanely tanky. Clearly the Assault is meant to be the highly-mobile melee class, except it’s not highly mobile at all when the jump pack is completely gutted compared to its PvP and campaign counterpart. It should function exactly the way it does in PvP, that would give the class more mobility to be able to jump in, deal damage, and jump back out without sacrificing all your charges at once.
@TheDustyChinchilla he's an in and out type of character...he's works well at keeping hoards off of the dps. If you're not successful with him it's because you're playing him wrong
@@BlackViod i dont know what difficulty you playing at but assault is perfect for low difficulties, in higher difficulties if your role is horde control, or grouped up enemy elites control when you land, you need to instantly disengage otherwise you will lose your entire armor in seconds. So you need to go in and out consantly. But you cant do that with his current kit. Heavy or Vanguard will clear hordes far better than you, Sniper can kill elites safer and faster than you. Currently Assault is here to just make you feel cool otherwise you are just whatever.
needs a lot more love on the jump pack end. Really the class gets you into shit situations where you need to rely on your melee to survive, something other classes like bulwark do a lot better. The jump pack I think should feel way more reliable than it is, it just takes so long to get back up to the point where you are mostly just sitting back and shooting.
I wonder if they should just make the dodge you can spend one of your charges on the default for assault would make the perk that lets you deal damage to enemies in the path more worth it and would help with the assaults survival
@@jdawg86That’s because of an oversight they made in regards to the level design. They want to avoid people jumping to high ground or ledges, and other people that want to go out of bounds of the map and cheese the game 😂. The mechanics of the class and the levels are probably not polished at 100% so this is a temporary solution imho. Im expecting it to be fixed sooner than later.
I believe I understand the issue with unresponsiveness on the jump pack, that marker on the ground at all times where you are looking determines if you can jump, if you are facing something like a cliff or somewhere you cant go, the marker disappears and you are unable to use the jump pack. Saw this in another video on Assault and I do think some of the Assault's perk needs some changes or tweaks. The first signature perk is, quite frankly a useless perk, and shouldn't even be considered a "signature" perk. The heavy bolt pistol reloads extremely fast and you can reload whilst sprinting or dodging making that perk nearly useless because of the speed of reloads with pistols. I also think the side arm perk 15% dmg is also one of the weakest and useless perks (aside from the 1st signature perk) in the perk kit for the assault. As an assault, the focus is the melee, while the pistol is definitely fine to use against minoris mob, which alone are pretty squishy especially if you go for headshots (which you should be doing). Using the pistol on anything greater that a minoris mob is miniscule and a last ditch effort to dish a bit of damage, but to use utilize an entire perk column for a tad bit more damage on the pistol over something that could be more substantial for the melee, armor, dodge, or jump back makes no sense. I see the secondary/pistol simply for taking out squishy targets or Gun Shotting, outside of that, there is no reason to waste an entire perk on the pistol. A few other perks need some tweaks, changes, and love, but for sure the 1st signature perk and the 15% sidearm dmg perk are absolutely worthless on this class. I would rather have seen a signature perk or a perk that some increases the duration of the jump pack, maybe make you leap further distances, or depending on the distance of a quick jump pack, you only use part of the "skill bar" of the jump pack instead of the full bar. Maybe a perk to speed up some sort of melee animation, increasing the "swing", etc. Please leave the sidearm damage perks away from this class.
Pistol has low ammo and low pierce but really high base damage, anyone with a brain can see its meant for headshotting elites and ranged units while your hammer is meant for trash mobs since it has the highest cleave in the game while also having really bad single target DPS. Your pistol even without headshots is doing much more raw DPS than your hammer simply because of its damage/rate if fire ratio. Heavy bolt pistol isn't a pistol it's a handcannon
You want too much out of a team based class my man. If he could do everything it wouldn't be a team game. Next people are gonna want him to be able to 1shot bosses.

@@Regianldo56 a tactical could never. i would love to see a tactical disrupt half as well as assault in melee range. and vanguard is basically assault for majoris enemies unlike how assault is to hoards. if enemies get too close to a sniper it's gg if his stealth isnt up and that may not even save him in time.
So I have about 30 hours now of this game and a majority of it has been on assault, I'm level 25 with max heavy bolt pistol and hammer. I love the class, however its only good for a few missions, and by that I mean missions strictly against Tyranids. I noticed you didnt include a single clip of the other enemy in the game, maybe for spoiler reasons, but regardless it needs to be said. Once you start fighting people who are shooting back on the hardest diffuculty, this class gets absolutely melted. You will lose all of your armor in health in just a few seconds if you try to do anything melee, the class just has zero sustainability for their health. I want this class to be good but honestly I dont think the game is ever going to be balanced for this class to be viable for all content, especially with an even harder difficulty coming.
With 6 classes and potentially more, I'm afraid the devs aren't aiming for every class to work for every mission, they probably want each class to get some play time
Assault is a hit and run character, always look for the snipers and shooters first and jumpack slam them first, then worry about the rest of CQB or melee enemies, 👍

You might say it's a hit and run class, but there is no way they designed the class with that bring the intention for that character. Big man with a jetpack and a huge hammer is not intended to hit and run, he is meant to lead the charge and clear the path. Him being a hit and run character is a symptom of him being poorly implemented. He is the only character in need of a complete rework
Probably the worst class to level up. If you wanna get to artificer or relic gear get the points on other classes. Class needs some kind of life steal on executions, one bad trade in a horde and your entire health bar is cooked and your only out is a wildly inconsistent tactical ability.
It's my highest class at lvl 19 I find it alot easier to survive with this class. I do use the heavy bolt pistol and it does great damage. Like 6 headshots stun majors for executions
@@kaospr8442. It reminds me of the vanilla WoW Arm warriors(if you’re familiar with World of Warcraft). All dps but no survivability. It’s currently my 2nd main, after Heavy. I know I’ll need many perks before I go into 3rd tier. More so than some of the others. But, that’s what makes this fun.
Now i've used the assault class and yes I can tell that the input lag on initiate jump is stil there. The jump is also so low that it's so far from the jump pack mobility during missions.
@@dannyalexander2328it doesn’t do much damage and it has no real survivability other than a class ability with an abysmally slow recharge for how important it is. That isn’t to say you cant do well with it, you’re just way better off using vanguard or bulwark.
@@cpl.gordita-crunch5608I think it’s great at clearing trash mobs and doing alright damage to majoris and up which feels like it’s intended job. It’s got 3 weapons that favor fighting groups, versus the vanguard that gets the combat knife, and an ability to jump on majoris enemies.
Honestly, a lot of people like or dislike this class because it's more of a glass cannon. Yes, the assault class hits very hard, especially when it comes to the damage you can do as a melee hitter, and it's very limited in its ranged attack options. But once you hit with that melee damage, it hits really hard, so it's more of a glass cannon kind of class. Glass cannons, in a lot of cases, tend to be the hardest-hitting characters because, yes, you can make them hit the hardest out of most characters in certain games, but it comes with the cost of taking more damage than other classes or characters. So I can see why some people might not like playing as the assault. You can still hit really hard with other classes while still being some of the tankiest characters in the game, so you can take a lot of hits, and you aren't punished as much for it. Either way, I still love playing as the assault class because I also don't have to worry as much since I have friends who tend to be a little more tanky and can take some hits. But I also am the guy who didn't know how to do the build properly, and since I saw this video, on paper, this build seems like it could do some devastating damage. So I definitely plan on adding all of this to my build and seeing how that fares in the multiplayer levels.
While I agree with the statement about glass cannons, this class compared to others just doesn't do the same amount of damage. As others have said in other comments, classes like Tac, Sniper or Heavy are just good all round because they do unbeatable damage, I'm personally yet to have seen any melee class get over 10k melee damage in an operation. I've had numerous games as a Tac for example where I've gone 20k+ ranged damaged. This class needs a lot of love before it can even be called a glass cannon sadly.
I miss the jump pack controls of SM1. They were haptic, pressure sensitive jumps, so you could soar or glide depending on how hard you pressed the button.
I figured out the mechanic behind the "input bug". It simply doesnt work when you dont have a proper ground target for the yellow reticule on the ground thats for your jump pack. As long as you can see it and aim it at the ground the jump will work. Figured it out in trials where I noticed that it wouldnt jump when aiming the yellow reticule into the hole by accident.
just what ive been waiting for, awesome. Would have been nice if you went over why you arent taking the other weapon perks or at least show what they are. some of them seem quite impactful so would be nice to see the options.
I made a joke to a friend saying how this class is in a bad spot and it’s weak and what if dropping it as a class and making the jump pack an ability you can use on other classes as a joke, that would be insane

Its definitely the hardest melee for assaults to use, stick with your rdps and protect them, keep telling your team to stay tight and engage in melee once your team-mates are there, keep your rdps alive

Its still fun in its own right but not rewarding at all its made for masochist as there is no incentive for health regain from kill and as a meele based class you take a lot of damage and are always close quarters vrs heavy which can keep a full health bar
MASSIVELY needs a buff in all areas. More melee damage, I mean come on a lonely little Tyranid can take a hammer swing to the face and not die it's absurd, more armour, or more ways to regen armour, the animation of the landing is too long as you can't move when enemies that didn't die (a lot of them) already start jumping at you and you lose 2 armour bars every time. It's called assault but it's a melee class, and it sucks at melee, sucks at surviving in melee. Either it needs a buff or enemies need a MASSIVE nerf
Is it me or do you fly ALOT farther/higher with the chainsword than the fist/hammer? Haven’t tested it scientifically but it seems like I am much more aerodynamic.
Sniper is best once maxed out and probably the best class for soloing. Heavy is probably the worst class but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. Vanguard and tactical are both very good and bulwark is better than assualt if you like melee
Hello, is there any way you can see or know how to farm Mastery points? For me it seems like it drops really random. We could not figure out how to get them. My guns are max on Relic tier and I am like in a half way on the perk tree.
you get 1 mastery point for mastering the weapon, each and every weapon in a given type has an XP bar, you gotta use all the weapons to unlock more perk points
I love playing Assualt, but it's so hard countered by flying enemies it's not even funny. I had Zoanthropes spawn when soloing a mission once and ended up having to just ignore them for the ENTIRE mission cause I couldn't kill them.... at all.
The assault should really take less damage from ranged attacks during the jumps since i've lost count on how many times i got shot down during mid air plus he should be able to jump way higher just like in pvp or singleplayer. I don't know why they decreased the height he can jump in pve. Also less jump charges in pve than in pvp and singleplayer? Why?
I hope they make the jet pack ability like it is in multiplayer or the campaign where you fly to the moon. Kinda got disappointed with it in operations.
I believe the reason the jump pack is finnecky is because of where you are looking. When playing assault, there is always a marker on the ground, even when you aren't in the air, but if that marker would appear off the map, like because you are looking towards a cliff, it disappears and disables your ability to use the jump pack. @@carstr9547if you’re still looking for a reason: Melta Guns. Tacticals have an awesome ability. Great perks that let you run up, melta a mob, do a finisher (reloads your melta) and then just rinse and repeat without ever needing to reload. Vanguard is just behind this because they can jump right into a large pool of adds and melta away. Snipers have Las Fusil. Has 100% piercing, so can add clear 2nd best to Melta Guns. And does insane damage with insane survivability to never have aggro from mobs. Bulkwark are just great supports at the moment. Can never go wrong with having one. Hope this clears it up for you. Welcome to the current Meta.
Sniper sucks in the beginning though, especially if your team doesn't keep horde off of you. You just end up tumbling around with no proper way of killing the trash mobs.
Leave the Assault for now my friend. I'm at lvl 23 and I love the concept of it but currently the class on 3rd and 4th difficulty is most of the time unplayable. You will have problem with flying units not to mention this big a** bug(i dont know whats his name in eng) that constantly charges because you even cant fly at him because he does too much and too often aoe dmg. Some perks don't work right now like the one that prevents enemes form stunning you while performing a powerfull attack and the list goes on and on Save your nervers brother, pick heavy, vanguard or something else and wait for devs to fix the assault class ❤
Just started playing so don't 100% know but Dark Angels chapter usually has capes and a knight style in their cosmetics so that would be the best bet I believe
@@alecarmstrong2049its not bad imo, if you have a mic, I would highly recommend using it for everything, saying that your group needs to be closer, knowing when to push back and use a funnel to slaughter the enemy. I think Assault is definitely a frontlining melee supporter. substantial-ruthless difficulty you REALLY need to hug your teammates and not run off solo, or dive into hordes trying to be a hero. Protect your team, stay tight and expect the unexpected, constantly communicate and voice your opinion on positioning. Also mark targets and call them out on mic to focus, take control when you have a mic. Learn the different blocking traits to , and your effectiveness of your weapon.
Can someone help me? I played 20 games in pvp and always i play as chaos faction. Not even once as space marine.Is tak bug or i need do do something? Its frustrated...
This class is actually shit, I am constantly surrounded by all the enemies in my games I’m trying to hit 3 different QTE’s in 1-5 frames and losing half my health in the next 10 frames I don’t know what I’m doing wrong idk what I need to do differently but I’m not enjoying this so far
I'm finding same. They want us to drop into masses of mobs but then we lose all our armour and health instantly on higher difficulties. One execute gives one armour recharge but if I have 5 or more enemies around me as soon as the animation ends I lose 2 or 3 bubs to the rest. Needs a huge buff
@@jamesphillips8485no, YOU want to drop into hordes, dont be a hero.. protect your RDPS im 20 assault and been playing on ruthless and i rarely go down and usually always take 300 or less dmg.. always be by your ranged support and know where they are so they can support you while you protect them
@vimictus7033 will give it a try, I am playing with random people and they don't use voice so it can't be hard yo coordinate. Going to switch back to fencing hammer today and play a lot more defensively around my ranged dps and see how it goes. Cheers buddy
@@jamesphillips8485 with hammer you will have much success keeping trash mobs of your ranged support.. mark the big guys and focus them.. and its ok if other dont have mic, if you have one and your hyper aware , thats a massive bonus to your team, Communication helps alot, take control of leadership and determine if you guys need to push , hold for cover or funnel the enemy. You will make a huge impact being active on mic even if 1 person, you would be suprised how many have mics on but are shy to talk
@vimictus7033 ywah going to try the focussed perk to have 100% damage on ground pound to have high dmg focus on the big guys. I struggle more with chaos as assault too. Their telepprt. Ranged and no mass death after killing a majoris enemy.

Is it just me or is assault pretty bad in PVP? It works really well sometimes but a lot of the times you easily get shot while meleeing and in the air and by then it's too late for a class that throws itself into the enemy. The armor is too low for what it's supposed to do. There's times where I'm getting outgunned by scouts and tacticals while I'm ON them meleeing.
assault is my baby but holy shit he is easily the worst class. the hammer is the most underwhelming melee weapon in the game, the jump pack feels and is horrible in operations, and most of his perks are just... eh

Really love and hate this class its definitely not the worst though. That being said hitting xenos and heretics with something large, heavy, made of metal that emits electricity is so satisfying. The suffering you have to go through is definitely worth the perks and upgrades most of the time 😅
lack of diversity in this game for each class and weapon. this is too much straight forward. no really theorycrafting, that's the only bad point i think.
Its definitely not a carry class, your rdps is whats gonna carry hard, the snipers, heavies , so protect them, hold the line for them, ive played a tank on a mmorpg for years and yes, bulwarks are the best at it, yet they always fight alone and try be heros and leave there scout to die, protect your rdps who will secure kills. Assault can do this to but not better than bulwark, save your ultimate abilitie when your teammates get bogged so you can save them and provide breathing room
No it's a useless build bro... if you have no team with you, ur dead. That's simple. This class suck. Take the most damage u can have with him. Better defense it's attack with him. Ranged will kill you easy. U don't have tanky, ur useless for the team
Class is broken. 70% of the time jump pack doesnt work. Connection issues are atrocious. Always online dogs**t. Refunded. Might buy again later. Just once I would like a game to launch in working order.

I wonder if they should just make the dodge you can spend one of your charges on the default for assault would make the perk that lets you deal damage to enemies in the path more worth it and would help with the assaults survival

@@jdawg86That’s because of an oversight they made in regards to the level design. They want to avoid people jumping to high ground or ledges, and other people that want to go out of bounds of the map and cheese the game 😂.
The mechanics of the class and the levels are probably not polished at 100% so this is a temporary solution imho.
Im expecting it to be fixed sooner than later.
I believe I understand the issue with unresponsiveness on the jump pack, that marker on the ground at all times where you are looking determines if you can jump, if you are facing something like a cliff or somewhere you cant go, the marker disappears and you are unable to use the jump pack. Saw this in another video on Assault and I do think some of the Assault's perk needs some changes or tweaks. The first signature perk is, quite frankly a useless perk, and shouldn't even be considered a "signature" perk. The heavy bolt pistol reloads extremely fast and you can reload whilst sprinting or dodging making that perk nearly useless because of the speed of reloads with pistols. I also think the side arm perk 15% dmg is also one of the weakest and useless perks (aside from the 1st signature perk) in the perk kit for the assault. As an assault, the focus is the melee, while the pistol is definitely fine to use against minoris mob, which alone are pretty squishy especially if you go for headshots (which you should be doing). Using the pistol on anything greater that a minoris mob is miniscule and a last ditch effort to dish a bit of damage, but to use utilize an entire perk column for a tad bit more damage on the pistol over something that could be more substantial for the melee, armor, dodge, or jump back makes no sense. I see the secondary/pistol simply for taking out squishy targets or Gun Shotting, outside of that, there is no reason to waste an entire perk on the pistol. A few other perks need some tweaks, changes, and love, but for sure the 1st signature perk and the 15% sidearm dmg perk are absolutely worthless on this class.
I would rather have seen a signature perk or a perk that some increases the duration of the jump pack, maybe make you leap further distances, or depending on the distance of a quick jump pack, you only use part of the "skill bar" of the jump pack instead of the full bar. Maybe a perk to speed up some sort of melee animation, increasing the "swing", etc. Please leave the sidearm damage perks away from this class.
Pistol has low ammo and low pierce but really high base damage, anyone with a brain can see its meant for headshotting elites and ranged units while your hammer is meant for trash mobs since it has the highest cleave in the game while also having really bad single target DPS. Your pistol even without headshots is doing much more raw DPS than your hammer simply because of its damage/rate if fire ratio. Heavy bolt pistol isn't a pistol it's a handcannon
You want too much out of a team based class my man. If he could do everything it wouldn't be a team game. Next people are gonna want him to be able to 1shot bosses.

So I have about 30 hours now of this game and a majority of it has been on assault, I'm level 25 with max heavy bolt pistol and hammer. I love the class, however its only good for a few missions, and by that I mean missions strictly against Tyranids. I noticed you didnt include a single clip of the other enemy in the game, maybe for spoiler reasons, but regardless it needs to be said. Once you start fighting people who are shooting back on the hardest diffuculty, this class gets absolutely melted. You will lose all of your armor in health in just a few seconds if you try to do anything melee, the class just has zero sustainability for their health. I want this class to be good but honestly I dont think the game is ever going to be balanced for this class to be viable for all content, especially with an even harder difficulty coming.
With 6 classes and potentially more, I'm afraid the devs aren't aiming for every class to work for every mission, they probably want each class to get some play time

Assault is a hit and run character, always look for the snipers and shooters first and jumpack slam them first, then worry about the rest of CQB or melee enemies, 👍

You might say it's a hit and run class, but there is no way they designed the class with that bring the intention for that character. Big man with a jetpack and a huge hammer is not intended to hit and run, he is meant to lead the charge and clear the path. Him being a hit and run character is a symptom of him being poorly implemented. He is the only character in need of a complete rework
Probably the worst class to level up. If you wanna get to artificer or relic gear get the points on other classes. Class needs some kind of life steal on executions, one bad trade in a horde and your entire health bar is cooked and your only out is a wildly inconsistent tactical ability.
It's my highest class at lvl 19 I find it alot easier to survive with this class. I do use the heavy bolt pistol and it does great damage. Like 6 headshots stun majors for executions

@@kaospr8442. It reminds me of the vanilla WoW Arm warriors(if you’re familiar with World of Warcraft). All dps but no survivability. It’s currently my 2nd main, after Heavy. I know I’ll need many perks before I go into 3rd tier. More so than some of the others. But, that’s what makes this fun.

Now i've used the assault class and yes I can tell that the input lag on initiate jump is stil there. The jump is also so low that it's so far from the jump pack mobility during missions.

@@cpl.gordita-crunch5608I think it’s great at clearing trash mobs and doing alright damage to majoris and up which feels like it’s intended job. It’s got 3 weapons that favor fighting groups, versus the vanguard that gets the combat knife, and an ability to jump on majoris enemies.

Honestly, a lot of people like or dislike this class because it's more of a glass cannon. Yes, the assault class hits very hard, especially when it comes to the damage you can do as a melee hitter, and it's very limited in its ranged attack options. But once you hit with that melee damage, it hits really hard, so it's more of a glass cannon kind of class. Glass cannons, in a lot of cases, tend to be the hardest-hitting characters because, yes, you can make them hit the hardest out of most characters in certain games, but it comes with the cost of taking more damage than other classes or characters. So I can see why some people might not like playing as the assault. You can still hit really hard with other classes while still being some of the tankiest characters in the game, so you can take a lot of hits, and you aren't punished as much for it. Either way, I still love playing as the assault class because I also don't have to worry as much since I have friends who tend to be a little more tanky and can take some hits. But I also am the guy who didn't know how to do the build properly, and since I saw this video, on paper, this build seems like it could do some devastating damage. So I definitely plan on adding all of this to my build and seeing how that fares in the multiplayer levels.
While I agree with the statement about glass cannons, this class compared to others just doesn't do the same amount of damage. As others have said in other comments, classes like Tac, Sniper or Heavy are just good all round because they do unbeatable damage, I'm personally yet to have seen any melee class get over 10k melee damage in an operation. I've had numerous games as a Tac for example where I've gone 20k+ ranged damaged.
This class needs a lot of love before it can even be called a glass cannon sadly.
I miss the jump pack controls of SM1. They were haptic, pressure sensitive jumps, so you could soar or glide depending on how hard you pressed the button.
I figured out the mechanic behind the "input bug". It simply doesnt work when you dont have a proper ground target for the yellow reticule on the ground thats for your jump pack. As long as you can see it and aim it at the ground the jump will work. Figured it out in trials where I noticed that it wouldnt jump when aiming the yellow reticule into the hole by accident.
just what ive been waiting for, awesome. Would have been nice if you went over why you arent taking the other weapon perks or at least show what they are.

Its definitely the hardest melee for assaults to use, stick with your rdps and protect them, keep telling your team to stay tight and engage in melee once your team-mates are there, keep your rdps alive

Its a better single target weaom with respectable aoe, however i feel like it needs a major stagger buff, lore wise, it is not correct at all.

Its still fun in its own right but not rewarding at all its made for masochist as there is no incentive for health regain from kill and as a meele based class you take a lot of damage and are always close quarters vrs heavy which can keep a full health bar

MASSIVELY needs a buff in all areas. More melee damage, I mean come on a lonely little Tyranid can take a hammer swing to the face and not die it's absurd, more armour, or more ways to regen armour, the animation of the landing is too long as you can't move when enemies that didn't die (a lot of them) already start jumping at you and you lose 2 armour bars every time. It's called assault but it's a melee class, and it sucks at melee, sucks at surviving in melee. Either it needs a buff or enemies need a MASSIVE nerf

Sniper is best once maxed out and probably the best class for soloing. Heavy is probably the worst class but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. Vanguard and tactical are both very good and bulwark is better than assualt if you like melee

Hello, is there any way you can see or know how to farm Mastery points? For me it seems like it drops really random. We could not figure out how to get them. My guns are max on Relic tier and I am like in a half way on the perk tree.
you get 1 mastery point for mastering the weapon, each and every weapon in a given type has an XP bar, you gotta use all the weapons to unlock more perk points

I love playing Assualt, but it's so hard countered by flying enemies it's not even funny. I had Zoanthropes spawn when soloing a mission once and ended up having to just ignore them for the ENTIRE mission cause I couldn't kill them.... at all.

The assault should really take less damage from ranged attacks during the jumps since i've lost count on how many times i got shot down during mid air plus he should be able to jump way higher just like in pvp or singleplayer. I don't know why they decreased the height he can jump in pve. Also less jump charges in pve than in pvp and singleplayer? Why?

Sounds about right. They are at least aware of it.
I believe the reason the jump pack is finnecky is because of where you are looking. When playing assault, there is always a marker on the ground, even when you aren't in the air, but if that marker would appear off the map, like because you are looking towards a cliff, it disappears and disables your ability to use the jump pack. Hope this helps
The Thunder Hammer needs more damage in its charge combos. That shit is pathetic and we give up a primary slot for it.
A finicky jump pack is perfect for RP a veteran with an old and temperamental relic, or a lamenter when it doesn't fire in the worst moment possible

Melta Guns.
Tacticals have an awesome ability. Great perks that let you run up, melta a mob, do a finisher (reloads your melta) and then just rinse and repeat without ever needing to reload.
Vanguard is just behind this because they can jump right into a large pool of adds and melta away.
Snipers have Las Fusil. Has 100% piercing, so can add clear 2nd best to Melta Guns. And does insane damage with insane survivability to never have aggro from mobs.
Bulkwark are just great supports at the moment. Can never go wrong with having one.

Sniper sucks in the beginning though, especially if your team doesn't keep horde off of you. You just end up tumbling around with no proper way of killing the trash mobs.

Leave the Assault for now my friend. I'm at lvl 23 and I love the concept of it but currently the class on 3rd and 4th difficulty is most of the time unplayable. You will have problem with flying units not to mention this big a** bug(i dont know whats his name in eng) that constantly charges because you even cant fly at him because he does too much and too often aoe dmg.
Some perks don't work right now like the one that prevents enemes form stunning you while performing a powerfull attack and the list goes on and on
Save your nervers brother, pick heavy, vanguard or something else and wait for devs to fix the assault class ❤

Just started playing so don't 100% know but Dark Angels chapter usually has capes and a knight style in their cosmetics so that would be the best bet I believe

@@alecarmstrong2049its not bad imo, if you have a mic, I would highly recommend using it for everything, saying that your group needs to be closer, knowing when to push back and use a funnel to slaughter the enemy. I think Assault is definitely a frontlining melee supporter. substantial-ruthless difficulty you REALLY need to hug your teammates and not run off solo, or dive into hordes trying to be a hero. Protect your team, stay tight and expect the unexpected, constantly communicate and voice your opinion on positioning. Also mark targets and call them out on mic to focus, take control when you have a mic. Learn the different blocking traits to , and your effectiveness of your weapon.
Can someone help me? I played 20 games in pvp and always i play as chaos faction. Not even once as space marine.Is tak bug or i need do do something? Its frustrated...
It just assigns you to one team or the other randomly.
This class is actually shit, I am constantly surrounded by all the enemies in my games I’m trying to hit 3 different QTE’s in 1-5 frames and losing half my health in the next 10 frames I don’t know what I’m doing wrong idk what I need to do differently but I’m not enjoying this so far
I'm finding same. They want us to drop into masses of mobs but then we lose all our armour and health instantly on higher difficulties. One execute gives one armour recharge but if I have 5 or more enemies around me as soon as the animation ends I lose 2 or 3 bubs to the rest. Needs a huge buff
@@jamesphillips8485no, YOU want to drop into hordes, dont be a hero.. protect your RDPS im 20 assault and been playing on ruthless and i rarely go down and usually always take 300 or less dmg.. always be by your ranged support and know where they are so they can support you while you protect them
@vimictus7033 will give it a try, I am playing with random people and they don't use voice so it can't be hard yo coordinate. Going to switch back to fencing hammer today and play a lot more defensively around my ranged dps and see how it goes. Cheers buddy
@@jamesphillips8485 with hammer you will have much success keeping trash mobs of your ranged support.. mark the big guys and focus them.. and its ok if other dont have mic, if you have one and your hyper aware , thats a massive bonus to your team, Communication helps alot, take control of leadership and determine if you guys need to push , hold for cover or funnel the enemy. You will make a huge impact being active on mic even if 1 person, you would be suprised how many have mics on but are shy to talk
@vimictus7033 ywah going to try the focussed perk to have 100% damage on ground pound to have high dmg focus on the big guys. I struggle more with chaos as assault too. Their telepprt. Ranged and no mass death after killing a majoris enemy.

Is it just me or is assault pretty bad in PVP? It works really well sometimes but a lot of the times you easily get shot while meleeing and in the air and by then it's too late for a class that throws itself into the enemy. The armor is too low for what it's supposed to do. There's times where I'm getting outgunned by scouts and tacticals while I'm ON them meleeing.
Honestly I think the wind up for the ground slam takes too long.

I would generally like to see your keybindings as they are somewhat unique and I am still figuring out if the binding is good or not.

Really love and hate this class its definitely not the worst though. That being said hitting xenos and heretics with something large, heavy, made of metal that emits electricity is so satisfying. The suffering you have to go through is definitely worth the perks and upgrades most of the time 😅

You don't need any ammo for gun strikes. The extra ammo gun variant is unnecessary.

Its definitely not a carry class, your rdps is whats gonna carry hard, the snipers, heavies , so protect them, hold the line for them, ive played a tank on a mmorpg for years and yes, bulwarks are the best at it, yet they always fight alone and try be heros and leave there scout to die, protect your rdps who will secure kills. Assault can do this to but not better than bulwark, save your ultimate abilitie when your teammates get bogged so you can save them and provide breathing room
