I like my space marines like I like my meals, NICE and HOT. Oh hey it's the Salamanders. I hope everyone enjoys this video, let me know your favorite chapter and what I should cover next!
I think it's funny how the salamanders are supposed to "spend time with their families" when not on crusade. But like... Crusades take like a hundred years on the shorter end? So some giant dude comes back and greets his great grand nieces and nephews and plays baseball with them every century? That's kind of hilarious.
It's actually wholesome and I don't see why salamander relatives do not get access to any rejuvenation treatments. I mean your bloodline just pumped out a space marine. They should built different.
the keynote that why they full on self-sacrifice is due to the Legion's permision to see their family line grow and prosper, acting like village elder's, teachers etc etc. As the phrase goes “The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.”. In the Salamander's case, well they hate what they see cause they love their family
What if you hate ur family, like a friend of mine? To some people, "family" is just another F-word. Btw, the "friend" I'm referring to.... is me. Cuz I have no friends. Only enemies and exes. Rory, u bitch! I love u :p
They see their own families in the humans stuck beside them in combat. The guardsmen that have families back home, and the civilians who's homes are being ravaged. They love humanity in a more practical sense, not just on a "for the emperor" sense the other legions possess.
Salamander: Guardsman, why are you so certain no one is coming? Guardsman: We're just guardsmen, sir. We're meant to be expendable. Salamander: Not to me... Sorry, I couldn't help it 😅
My favorite dragon warrior fact is that when they chose a planet to make their final stand against the Orks, they chose a volcanic death world. They chose a smaller Nocturne and that was where their father found them. Also when the Death Guard sieged Nocturne and a bunch of dragons stormed their tank lines while the Salamanders watched from their battlements, because they knew the rumble of heavy vehicles would trigger territorial responses from the planet
Ya I like that a lot of the times the dragon warriors and salamanders got sent to volcanic or subterranean battles. The men or iron battle was cool. I didn’t actually know that second but that’s pretty cool. I like in fiction when the dangerous fauna of a planet gets used by one side. Thanks for watching!
Beforehand, the Death guard had tried to chemical bomb the fortress the salamanders had retreated to, but the intense atmosphere burnt the poisons before they could reach anything and any gasses where left were either blown away by the constant heavy winds or further burnt by ground forces with flamers, so the Death Gaurd then tried to assault the salamander fortress, however the engines on their fliers where not suited for Nocturne and the heavy ash in the atmosphere clogged the engines and cause most of them to crash, very few Death Guard actually made planetfall and none of those who did, reached the walls of the Fortress.
A stupid head Canon i have is : The artifacts of Vulkan cant be found because Trayzan and the Blood Raven are working extra hard to keep them away, and Vulkan is locked in a Dark Angel Prison, where a interrogator chaplain is trying to get rid of the Whagg energy out of Vulkan head
My favorite part of being a salamander enjoyer is that on occasion someone asking about the actual amphibian salamander will show up on the sub reddit. A very wholesome moment whenever it happens.
This also happens with sports subreddits for pretty much any team named after an animal, and it's always funny. Even teams not named after animals get it. The Houston Rockets subreddit gets people asking about rockets once in a while. I've even seen the Miami Heat subreddit get people asking about their heaters.
I like that the most noble and nicest space marine chapter for humans are the ones that look the most like monsters. Nothing pretty about Salamanders, but some times you need a dragon monster to save you against the forces of the void.
Ya I like that aspect of them too. It kinda reminds me of the trope of superheroes taking off their mask when saving a kid to be less scary. Except in the salamanders case they’re arguably more scary without the helmet lol. I also really liked Sa’kans depiction in Pariah Nexus Thanks for watching!

Immediately fell in love with this chapter after reading the wiki. They're my first army (painting up some infernus as I listen to this) so any love they get gives me a smile :) Vulkan Lives baby!
One time, when working with the Krieg to quell an insurgency, the Krieg fired upon the salamander’s position with artillery. The salamanders walked it off. The hab complex with innocent people did not. So the salamander’s commander went up to the Krieg commander, and while I don’t know what was said, the Krieg had the fear of the Emperor out into them and played by the Salamander’s rules until the campaign was over.
You are correct about the no smoke thing! Most fires with natural materials found on modern earth produce smoke that contains molecules of substances that do not burn until higher temperatures are reached. These materials can ignite under certain conditions irl where the heat is contained in an area where a large amount of these molecules are accumulated until the fire gets hotter and hotter and eventually causes what is known as a “Flashover” where it causes a chain reaction eventually lighting all of the unburnt molecules in the area. If the meltas/flamers do burn sUpErDuPEr hot, then it would be reasonable to assume that the fire doesn’t produce smoke until the weapon has ceased firing, and the fire upon the target is self-reliant on its own fuel as opposed to the fuel of the weapon
I like to think their basic human empathy is a mixture of a lot of factors, from some possible influence of their geneseed to the near expectation to interact with their people "regularly" on their home planet, down to how they recruit straight forcing them to interact peaceably with each other and non augmented humans and become teachers as well as superhuman monsters.
"The Son Of Vulkan" is the comic that got me interested in warhammer because I think those usual spacearines are too edgy and stuff, the salamanders really are the lights that create the shadow.
Ok, with the upcoming release of space marines 2 and being familiar of 40k, i wanted to learn the lore and what chapter I would like to be a part of. Thanks to you i was able to do those two things. I am honored to be a part of the salamanders.

Makes me wonder if the emperor could come back if he got off the throne for a few days. Obviously he would never but eh
The Salamanders are forever and always my Space Marines. I am overjoyed that you are one of us, brother KarakDuk!
Immediately fell in love with this chapter after reading the wiki. They're my first army (painting up some infernus as I listen to this) so any love they get gives me a smile :) Vulkan Lives baby!
my first introduction to warhammer 40k was the new sm2 game and i’m absolutely loving all the lore and passion that people have for this setting
Salamanders literally were the thing that finally got me into the setting. VULKAN LIVES!
Sees Giant heckin hammer: *Smiles*
Sees Giant heckin hammer that's also on fire: *screams externally*
That RGB Rainbow Space Marine killed me! 🤣
“We’re just clones sue, we’re expendable”
‘Not to me’
The salamanders currently take up 90% of my brain.
The emperor values humanity: True. True.
The emperor values humans: erm, as much as a worksman values his tools. Essential, yes. Caring, nah.
The Salamanders are some of the best, if not THE best Space Marines in all of 40K.
*most poorly written
@@clinch4402 they dont kill everyone, they bad
@@Pururut That part's fine. It needs to be expanded upon, however
I like to think their basic human empathy is a mixture of a lot of factors, from some possible influence of their geneseed to the near expectation to interact with their people "regularly" on their home planet, down to how they recruit straight forcing them to interact peaceably with each other and non augmented humans and become teachers as well as superhuman monsters.
Yes, finally, my favorite Imperial group, the salamander. I'm happy to hear that the salamanders are your favorites too.
"The Son Of Vulkan" is the comic that got me interested in warhammer because I think those usual spacearines are too edgy and stuff, the salamanders really are the lights that create the shadow.
My fav moment was when that dude said “OH MAN I LIKE THE LITTLR GUY”
The Emperor considers Vulkan to be his greatest creation.
“Into the fires of battle, unto the anvil of war!", "For the Emperor and His people!"
Ok, with the upcoming release of space marines 2 and being familiar of 40k, i wanted to learn the lore and what chapter I would like to be a part of. Thanks to you i was able to do those two things. I am honored to be a part of the salamanders.
@@Mrmirage200 awesome! I’m going to be releasing videos relevant to SM2 in the coming weeks building up to its release so stay tuned. I appreciate you watching my vids
The Lamenters take this to a whole different level imo. By far they gotta deal with way more shit than the salamander have in the recent couple of millennia. What with having the worst luck all the time and the black rage. And despite ALL that, they still remain the most pure of heart of all the marines
Krak continues to have amazing taste. IG being his favorite faction, and the Salamanders being his favorite Space Marines.
A video on my favourite chapter, on my birthday?😭 GLORY TO THE GOD EMPEROR!!
I like the Salamanders, the Space Wolves (because of the Ragnar books, at least the first three or four), and the SPACE SHARKS!
You should explain the celestial lions. Poor boys were fucked over by the inquisition
Thanks for the video. I never get tired of hearing about the Salamanders
Is a black templar that acts like a salamanders
Me : ... Confused screaming
Favorite chapter you say?
SALAMANDERS. Into fire of battle. Into the anvil of war!!!
Green Marines who live in inhospitable environments and have above average durability and determination?
(14th legion heavy breathing)
This was a great video. I like the Salamanders, and now I've been inspired to paint their Primarch's Forgeworld model. So cheers for that mate :)
Salamanders are the best space marines. But that’s like saying they are the best type of cardboard. Either way they are great!
Cardboard is an extremely useful invention!
Thanks for watching
I know this is true lore based on the art style chosen, which is 100% accurate to the letter. Well done.
The Peter Griffin Death Pose Ork lmao
Just found your channel not too long ago, and i love the little gaurdsman guy that you use. It's the perfect lil guy to represent Warhammer
Dude holy shit 11:52 was too funny with the baby and hand pointing i died
Lmao that’s my favorite joke in the vid as well. Thanks for watching!
@@KrakDuk ofc dude im new to warhammer (almost a year but still new) and the easy battle break downs and factions (like cadia) helped alot. I recommended to friends. Thanks man
You put everything I love about the salamanders in one video. I love this. This is why salamanders is the best army fr fr
11:39 JERK FACE ASSHAMMER 🤣🤣🤣
The art, your personality and the topic are exactly the kind of bs I wanna enjoy on YT subbed
hahaha I love Adeptus Ash Ketchum. Salamanders are the best space marine chapter hands down. I just finished printing and army of these bad boys too!
Ooo really? Are you gonna do a salamanders video😳
Thanks for watching!
Love the videos, so entertaining to learn the lores and such in a nutshell-ish type of videos like these
1:55 Dark Krakens! Hellllll yeah!
Dark Krakens go hard. Both their scheme and lore🤌
Thanks for watching!
@@KrakDuk No problem! Only just found your channel and all the videos have been great!
Wow, cool vid. So glad I found your channel 3 weeks ago right before I took a shower. I know so much 40k lore now!
I love the salamanders so much (my profile pic checks out) they are a nice break from the grim darkness of the far future. Im new to 40,000 and i knew a bit about the salamanders and i could tell they would be my favourite. I also quite like fire so that helped lol 😄
Yippee you started off with my favorite Marines too! I can't ask for anything else after this, except maybe Raven Guard content?
3:05 Still wrong! Salamanders have black skin, and Charizard X, is Fire/Dragon AND black. So they’re obviously Fire/Dragon!
Yes the salamanders are my favorite, first mini I ever painted was a salamander
You wrote „White Scars” the wrong way, my guy
Would love some short stories of Salamanders interacting with their families
Man I need to keeping painting my salamanders…
And start painting my all Gravis Deep Kraken marines still in boxes..
10:05 Blasphemy
