  • You can make Mulberry jam at home! With only 3 ingridients and no pectin, helthy and delicious
    Recipe:
    500Gr Blackberrys
    500Gr Sugar
    Half Lemon juice (you can use Sicilian lemon)

    Would it taste just as good if u leave the whole berry rather than just what is strained out?

      I think it would taste good, but the berry would leave too big pieces in the jam.
      If you will spread the jam in a bread I think the jam need to be soft, but if it’s not a problem for you it’s ok

    It's more of a syrup then a jam. Did you use the mulberry berries or toss them out?

    How do you remove the stems before hand thats always a pain

      I would use nail clippers or strain the final product.

      I use small scissors (tedious, I know) unless I'm making wine, in which case I don't bother. Cheers

      If you freeze them as I do, the stems pop right off. The freezing process also breaks down the berries.Perfect for making mulberry pie too.

      Hi! I keep it in the fridge and it have a long life time in there. Don’t worry. I think about a year in the fridge

      @@たろう808 North Arkansas here. The tree in my backyard is over four feet in diameter, biggest I've seen and the berries are less than half the size of those. Quite numerous, though.

      We have lots of mulberry trees here in Indiana , but it's rare that I've seen berries that large too

      Yes! It’s a lime! And it’s called Tahiti Lemon too, but you can also use lemon 🍋, here in Brazil lime is the most common, but it’s not easy to find in other countries. You can use lemon or lime, you decide 😉

      ​@@CookingSambaYou have a good recipe! I add agar agar to make it thicker. Lotus seed powder, chia seeds, yam powder, tapioca, rice flour or corn starch are good ingredients to increase the thickness. Mulberry is very sweet. I usually don't add sugar.

      Blackberry is sour, sometimes very sour.
      Mulberry is sweet, sometimes very sweet.
      They both are delicious and nutritious! Blueberry is a shrub. Mulberry trees usually are huge and live forever.

      Hi Hybridious! I have medium hands 🙌 our mulberry tree is an really amazing tree giving us this huge mulberries! But here in Brazil my mulberries are pretty small nearly other mulberries we have here!

      In my opinion it’s not too sweet, it’s sweet like any other jelly.
      But if you are afraid it to get too sweet, you can reduce the sugar, but it will take you more time to cook.

    Got to be honest, I think it's a nope for me as you were using the white sugar for sweetener. I suggest you may use stevia, sugar cane sugar or brown sugar.
    White sugar had may side effects like increase your risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.
    The remedy are fully made by natural ingredients only 😀
    It's time to change 💚
