Opposing Force was my first contact with the Half Life games. I remember finding a demo on a Homeworld cd and i was amazed by how the game looked and played. And then i found out there's another game called HL + its expansions. The best gaming years of my childhood! After more than 2 decades there is still no game that would match the same feeling i had while playing this.
That`s because Half-Life series and pretty much of the rest of VALVe`s games are great! Hell most 90s and early 2000s games were great! Now the games that are coming out today aren`t fresh anymore which is very sad.
lulubeloo play Half life 2 and the expansions. They're better. Also portal series is fantastic. Portal and portal 2 are what Valve made instead of HL3 so it's better the play portal 2 than it is to cry over HL3. Half life ends at the end of HL2ep2. That's how it ends.

The room with the spinning GabeN pictures is actually a box encased with the trigger texture. The trigger texture is either pink or a picture of Gabe Newell. That box is not an easter egg. I don't know what it is used for but part of some map animations or scripted events.

Opposing Force is my favourite game from the entire Half-Life series. BTW, if you like Opposing Force, then you really should play the Half-Life 1 mod "Azure Sheep". It's extremely good, one of the best HL1 mods, and it is long, detailed, and even lets you explore and fight through the opening levels of Half-Life, the levels that you never normally get to play through, the levels that you see from inside the tram/train at the start of Half-Life when Gordon is on his way to work. You play as Barney, the security guard (Azure Sheep is a thousand times better than Blue Shift, where you also play as Barney), and you get to see lots more of Black Mesa, and re-visit familiar areas but after the events in the main game, so there might be new enemies there to fight, or new routes now open to you. And.... *** warning - very mild spoilers *** ... in Azure Sheep, you very briefly get to fight alongside both Gordon Freeman and Corporal Shephard.
Man, echoes was the best hl1 mod, but i think azure sheep is the same too, i played entite of it and finished and i am so amazed that i really played some kind of thing like azure sheep about half life, nice comment too :)
