COMMENT: What is your opinion on the Hermès heir passing on his billions to his gardener?

    • @LittleMissDeeDee
      @LittleMissDeeDee 8 месяцев назад +7

Well, it’s his money so he can decide how to distribute it and perhaps, the gardener made such an impact on his life that he felt it was his duty to repay him for his contribution to his life.

Not sure what I feel about the gardener getting some Euros, but it surprises me that the French and EU have not found a way to cap the value of wealth transfer above a certain value, yet. Then again, with the hidden-in-plain-sight influence of all these old-money families, maybe I’m not surprised…

My entire family is from this village although we don’t know the Gardener as he is from France. 🇫🇷 but yeah too many stories I have of him as he has built huge mansions in my Village. One thing to add: Nicolas Puech is the biggest individual shareholder of Hermès who wants to inherit the half of his net worth to his gardener.
However, Nicolas Puech was also the only family member, who voted for the Hermès acquisition by LVMH when Bernard Arnault held 23% of Hermès.
In order to avoid the takeover from LVMH, all Hermès family members founded a trust and freezed their shares to protect their voting rights and their brand.
Nicolas Puech did not join the trust. So.. even if the gardener gets $7 billion, there is no impact on the shareholder structure.
I am proud to have Hermès in my stock portfolio.

?? Gotta say, as a guy, I can't imagine the level of anger and humiliation the daughters of the Hermes family must have felt, to simply be dismissed and denied a position in the family business, (because you are just a girl) while your husband or your sisters husband is offered a position in your fathers company and eventually inherits control, (while you are forced to sit back and watch, like a piece of furniture.)

Thank you for your concern for us women. But, most women would be thrilled with this outcome, with their husband Becoming the leader, the CEO of the empire created by your father or grandfather. Despite What feminism wants to Make us believe most women are primarily home makers, dedicated to their family , children, husband, and relationships in general. And Want to enjoy a nice beautiful lifestyle. Most women are not meant to be CEOs, billionaires by themselves. How Can you give birthday and take Care of 4-5 children if you run a international billionaire family brand. When women choose to work, they prefer doing a job they're passionnate about, liké in the arts, music, theatre, fashion but they prefer to slow down once they have children.
Look, today, women are FORCED to work, most families need both incomes, so What's happening? Thé birthday rates are collapsing everywhere in the World, in all western countries, and even many Asia. Countries !!! Only Africa and India are making enough children. So, sorry , feminism lied to us. We can't do both. Not everytime. Humankind IS facing extinction in a few decades, and the decrease IS starting now, around 2026-2030. Men and women are a team, complimentary, not identical I Hope humankind will find a solution...
I used to be feminist, by the way. Unfortunately...I am still very ambitious, but Only in Things I am passionnate about (acting and spiritual life coaching)...
      Thanks for reading. Take Care.

You are 200% right and hope sometime the rest of "angry" feminists realise the damage in future generations is causing. No doubt behind a successful gentleman there is a great lady. (Giving him home support, family affection and respect). So they can provide for all mother & kids a safe home and future stability.
      We complement each other.
We were made perfect for the union, therefore community.

Those Ladies & wife's were and still are the best social promoters, attending high class venues, charity ball, and looking glamorous when they show at Gala dinner with their working & well respected husbands. Heritage is based on a protocolarian respect for each one duties, like the Royals. Is not a life to comprehend for those who do not belong to aristocrats in their ancestors family tree.
I did, so I loved it and I am passing such values to our next generation, the rest is just a "temporary" feminism that will not last because is not "organic". I am happy attending my beloved husband, kids and running several charities to help, guide, educate, nurture & love world children in need. Blessed to have such a husband who cares, works, provides & protect us. Judging will never set us free, instead helping the community with love & empathy. Blessings to All.

We do not know what this man went through. His gardener might be more than a gardener. he could have helped with with paperwork. When he was sick he did of lot of things, Instead of being happy for him someone made a comment maybe the gardener could not afford one of the bags. That was very low down. God put people in people's lives for a reason. Maybe the gardener did not have a family and Mr Hermès was there for him, As for me, I rather invest in stocks than go around trying to be this and that,
