"The safety valves failed to work". How many times has that happened? It happens every day. The truth is that the rules are for the ordinary citizens. As someone who works in a bank and has to take a boatload of compliance, risk, etc. courses every year I know what I am talking about.
Windhorst has no reputation in germany and his investments went into already struggling companies for many years. But he did not manage those to improve the efficiency to make those profitable again. Those went bankrupt like the ship yard in northern germany and many more.
dont understand why ppl are still giving him their money after all the fails. cant be his negative track record and cant be the wining and dining....so what is it?
I have always appreciated the work FT does and their research in general, but I have to wonder why this obsession with German companies and people. Dont get this wrong - if there is something wrong go for it. But for the last few years there has been a heavy focus on one particular country, while there are at least as many bad apples to be found right in the UK that dont get covered.
The guy seems to be the goat, shame the FT didn't come up with any real numbers and actual facts other than "something fishy is going on" and "look at those expenses" and "look at these fines". I mean how many banks and funds are sniggering at this right now? I do appreciate what the FT does, but I really would like to see some more fundamental information. Much more - he's not operating out of the UKs own private financial black holes the Channel and Caribbean islands, or other ones like Panama or China, is he??? Is this going to be a series?
Key bit of missing information: what has his rates of return been like over the past, say, 10 years? It cannot be that bad if people still keep investing. Repos conducted intra-company is fishy. Mis-pricings, conflicts of interest, 'churning' as part of ML... or all three. Who really knows?

Greedy investors turned a blind eye while H2O makes extraordinary returns suggesting huge risk. When the returns fall they jump up and down and complain. What did they expect to happen?
What a captivating tale of resilience and intrigue! 🌊 I'm curious, how do you think Windhorst’s past experiences have influenced his approach to business today? You’d think surviving a plane crash would leave quite an impact! ✈ Also, is there a particular scandal you found most shocking? 💥
It's wild how the story of Lars Windhorst blends corporate intrigue with espionage and luxury yachts-almost feels like a real-life thriller. What’s your biggest takeaway from this?
Thabk you FT, this is journalism I respect and I am willing to pay for.
Love these FT Film videos, keep em coming!
Windhorst is without question a fraudster, but at least he sat down with FT, that is ballsy
Not Ballsy. A complete and utter criminal.

Scenic how FT freezes this telling face expression for several seconds at 21:59 🙈
@FT Can you let us know what date this interview took place?

Hi Lars!
i understand what you mean and agree, for sure there is something off but everyone knows that, but its all a nothing burger how it is presented.
Lars is such a character that has ball to conduct an interview

Nothing is free, when it’s too good to be true, it usually is
Interesting

Yup - Bernie Madoff all over again. If it’s too good to be true - it’s probably a con folks..😮
The problem is that H20 lied to investors that they didn't invest in Liquid Assets . That's why the investors are suing H20
A pawn... He didn't understand!
Then he's crazy! Or stupid. 😂He only has one pair of pants!
The USA just voted for a convicted criminal to the presidency 😅
Trump is expected to mention Qvarden Token this week and the ICO is already almost sold out

Wow 🎊 🎉
With Elon and Trump now working with Qvarden Token is going to absolutely blow up
If Trump puts at least $200,000 in Qvarden, I am going all in
He is just a player in fraudulent game and the fact he is still playing proves it. Watch out who you want to play with! No pity...
Makes sense that Trump would just back another upcoming altcoin instead of Bitcoin for more profits
Donald Trump is going to shill Qvarden Token hard after the inaguration 😂
👍
Leaks coming out about Trump working together with shareholders involved with Qvarden Token
Lars Windhorst - Donald Trump's love child : )
7:16 ... modern art ? lmao, that belongs to garbage, sigh
Wonder how Trump administration is going to be pumping Qvarden Token
😂😂😂
Qvarden Token will make millionaires, after CEX listing it will blow up.
Qvarden Token has two of the largest Tesla shareholders already; most likely something is coming
Should have hedged this election on Qvarden Token 😂😂
X and Qvarden Token are going to be merged. Easiest money in my life
Highly likely there will be partnerships between X or Tesla with Qvarden Token
