I love how hyped Cory is about everyone in his band. He seems to want to see everyone get their moment.
Petar looks like a gta online character
Looks like the guy that tells you the plan to rob a bank lmfao
LOL 😂
@@petarjanjic7543 oh hi petar! Didn’t expect you to see that lol
Corey has the most infectious laughter ever
Man has that Gilbert Gottfried laugh on LOCKDOWN
Corey's laugh is priceless!
Cory, new revenue stream idea: record your laughs and sell them for sitcom canned laugh tracks!
(And then rewrite the sitcoms to be 1% as clever as your channel and they'll be worth watching and laughing at.)
Gilbert Gotfried
Someone: What kind of music do you listen to?
Me: Heist music
Btw I LOVE when the flute kicks in. I don't know why but I love this type of funky heist/car chase music so much
It might be a heist but we’re never robbed of talent and great info with these guys! Thanks heaps for sharing again
a deep look into corys writing process 5:25
Vanilla Ice reference cracked me up.
"ToP robbing a casino" genius haha
man I love how you all bring the exact same energy in real life as you do on your instruments, love these breakdowns
sooo fuckn hyped for cory and the wongnotes season 2
The laughs in this series are what I live for.
Thanks so much for making these! Love hanging with you guys :)
Love this album! Made me realise how much I've always underappreciated horns!
I will never ever get tired of these!
Love the St Anger shirts
I just see this being so much work to produce and organize. This content is incredible. Thank you Cory and friends
PS Cory did you get the Dlive 7000?
These are the best videos on RUclips
What a great series, thanks a lot!!
Michael Nelson rocking the pseudodudo socks! LOVE that!
Riley is the man!
Love this series! Whoever is doing the video editing is killing it.
Cory, did you happen to do a video shoot of the performance of Lee from this album? SICK track, would love to have seen y'all playing that one.
god bless these boys' editor, such a good video
This series is lit fam thanks.
So much fun to watch. Comedy for musicians by musicians. Add a laugh track and your golden. Did I say golden? Another great song lol.
"Of course it is always the drummer" Truth bomb dropped there.
Thanks Cory! Very cool!
Thank you so much for doing this one!
I've listened to this track a fair few times, I have a funk section in one of my demo's that I wanted to flesh out, but didn't really know what I was doing - I love what the percussion and flute add to the vibe!
(Sidenote:- It surprises me that you didn't realise that the Bari usually follows the Alto in a big band arrangement though!) Edit: Doh! I just remembered that in Drop2 or Drop4, the Bari doesn't follow the Alto at all.)
Amazing series. What every musician producer wished to do probably :)
Thank you Cory, very cool 👍
best series on youtube
Thanks Cory!
This is some of the best stuff on RUclips... 😂
These sessions are killer!😂 keep em comin Cors!👍 that white boy bass needs a bit more soul though 😜
Brutal!!!
always entertaining, no disappointment here.
that flute solo in the second half reminds me so much of brian “stick” jackson, incredible
Always tend to prefer your mix, they got a lot of life and dynamics. The wongnotes album tends to sound "to clean" and polish. Which make sens with the show concept. But your mixes are straight fires !
cory i love ya! sometimes id wish youd go more in depth on mix stuff and your effects chains and techniques
This'll sound silly but seeing you use Logic is mad inspiring cause it's all I know how to use so thank you
Interesting concept for a show. I think your audio has got better on subsequent episodes, but I couldn't hear what the drummer and horn player were saying very well. I like getting to hear some of the tracks solo'd for a while. cool
golden!
The melody of the imperial march is actually played on the trombone I think? Also I really would love to see one of these or a video of the recording of Lee. It's absolutely my favourite song of the album!
Hey... it looks like the t-shirts are back in stock, so now Michael can get his!
this is high quality content
For more great jazz/funk heist music, check out Corduroy's 1993 "High Havoc". And while you're at it, check out the rest of their amazing albums
what what? why is he emphasizing "Season 1"?? when is season 2 coming? cant wait, buddy!!
they recorded season 2 a while ago, not sure when it's coming out tho
Cory goes full Gilbert Gottfried when he's hyped
Cory, (if you read this), saw you at the Vic Theater in Chicago last Friday....OUTSTANDING music, showmanship, energy and fun. Does anyone know if the Madison Square Garden Vulfpeck concert can be purchased on Vinyl? I saw some places where you could buy it for hundreds of dollars! Just wondering.
Like in the old days on 32 track tape machine💜😉
NEVER forget the Beatles did a mouth trumpet section on Lady Madonna (w/ a live sax) -- honestly with you it would be badass. It'd never REPLACE the Hornheads but it'd be a cool flavor for one song!
9:16 That reminds me of wind parts that say "stagger breathe"... You know damn well I'm gonna try to do that in one breath if you write that.
16:00 Use Reaper
Sad trombone funeral march would be LOL funny
I feel like Cory looking into the camera with that smug looks as he's about to say "that's funky!" could be a meme
5:48 I’m crying 😭 😂😂🤣
That edit was gold
Can't believe this PT 32 inputs limitation still exists... Is there a reason you wouldn't choose to record in Logic at that point?
I took the bait on pausing the horn chart… except it’s all in the same key. I’d have to transpose for each horn beside the trombone. I guess I’ll just buy it 😜
Cory’s got that Persona 5 bass tone
was the amazing flute solo improv or written?
Delete That t-shirt reveal - priceless!
the kenny g hoodie is kinda lit
Cory you may not want to put a wrong note on an album. But would you put a wong note?
This video was 11/10 amazing
The face at 14:00 says "you're fired". Luckily enough he could (barely?) hold it back.
I am calling percussion dingle berries from now on! 😂
Sounds like a scene from Ocean's Eleven😁🎸🎵🎼🎶🎛️🎚️🎧
Wildly hysterical but can we get a little more compression on your mic Corey for when you lose it.
The latest PT Standard release gives you 64 channels of I/O now. Hit up Anthony!
Cory and the Wongnotes Stripped Mixes on Spotify when
i want the lars dad shirts so bad
Where did they get the “delete that” reference from ?
Some Kind of Monster
It’s a documentary thing about Metallica
@@bennyben2291 Thank you! I'll check it out :)
Why the horn charts so expensive though…
The t-shirts 🤣
20:18 Thank me later
That demo sounds like Snarky Puppy haha!
hey cory is the Kenny G top ironic?
we need "delete that" t shirts immediately
Totally not enough horn solis in music today!
8th viewer
here for the horn solis
question L do you really need all that hardware u fuckin cool boi
not first
Zero is probably the most common percent!
When Cory laugh i get remindind of gilbert gottfried
kenny G
We "only" had 32 channels!
Well Cory already laughs like a supervillain so...🤔
We’re all a little salty at AVID
Kenny G
I'm a heist music guy
Is that really him? He's not wearing a striped shirt. 😄
3rd
Cory come to Pdx well open for ya 🤤🤤🤤
Check super secret band
Use reaper ha-ha-ha)))))
i need a delete that shirt!!
actually I think this song sounds closer to straight up funk than big band swing. Its still very good, but in my mind its not exactly mission accomplished.
Delete. That.
Delete that
DELETE THAT!
Sad trombonist. Lol
