Doesn't work for UK Audible sorry
Hiya is the book available in the U.K.? Can’t seem to find it! I listen to audio books 24/7 as I’m bed bound most of the time so your husband can keep me company for a while 🤣🤣 xx
Also wanted to say I loved the fact that this video proves how authentic a person you are because I could tell by you voice more than anything which were false as you were uncomfortable lying! X hey and I got them all right! Pat my own back lol xx
Actually there is a similar recipie for oreo cake and it does work surprisingly!!
I got 3 xD

I'm glad you got my point with that one 😀 fake thumbnail to go with the video

There is no way I was gonna believe you can make a cake using whole ground up oreos for flour.

Too good to be true
you can actually make a cake with ground up oreos, milk, and antacid, and it works ruclips.net/video/3yCd4bGUtVc/видео.html

I'm not a baking genius. I'm just a cynic. I wanted the Oreo cake with Snickers cream to be real. And therefore I knew they can't be real.
It is real I tried it btw
The cake part wont look like that, but
You an make oreo cake and snickers cream just not like this.
Itd real

I like these it’s like where getting quizzed on the stuff we’ve learned from her other debunking videos
Don’t tempt her
It helps us identify real fakers
It's true. I figured the jelly one was real because it used real jelly. The cake ALMOST threw me off because of the added baking powder.
Here is a lesson to learn
NEVER TRUST TIME SKIPS
OR PARTS WHERE THEY DONT SHOW THE BOWL OF INGREDIENTS
What if the time skip was to skip something that would take hours to bake or cook
Five hour video to prove something that needs cooking and cooling is real?
Anthony Hunter it can be shown in fast motion as well
Or weird cuts between phases of mixing that go from “chunky” to “perfect!”
i knew almost immediately that the oreo cake would be fake because the oreos would never blend to be THAT smooth
Hello, I am a beginner cook. You write such nice words in the comments, please rate my video, Thank you
IKR it could never be that smooth
I kind of got that??
Not really.....
Amber Jo-Lynn it is fake you need to add chocolate or milk to make it that smooth
There is also no leavening agent like baking powder or whipped egg whites
Is it bad that I want to grab a spoon and eat the melted snickers, marshmallows and cream?

I bet it would make a good sauce for ice cream
Obviously not, all of us want :c

My way of telling is if in someway a brand is brought up(like oreos and snickers) theres a higher likely hood of it being faked

My guess: 1 & 4 are real. Anything that's like "turn [candy bar] into [dessert]" is a red flag for me.
Yea me too
yeah, thanks to her previous debunk videos, I was convinced both cake recipes were fake.
Truth!

I agree :)
I ain't no chef, but I do make some simple cakes sometimes, so I just knew that neither the frosting nor the cake was real, the one with jelly just made sense, so I thought it was real, I wasn't sure about the macaron one because I've never had one and I don't know how it's made, but you mentioned "vegan" so I thought "Oh those life hack channels loves to make fake vegan food, so it's probably fake" 😂
Let a man dream
To be fair, the real oreo cake nearly looked good enough that it could've been real, even if it would've tasted bad.
Listening to Dave Reardon's smooth, rich and warm as butter voice would be a blessing!

Me too! She's so easy to listen to and she's super sweet
Once, my dad and I made meringue from the excess liquid poured out of a package of tofu. It took most of an hour with electric beaters on high to make noticeable progress on thickening, and another hour before we gave up on getting soft peaks (let alone stiff peaks) but it baked up into something very similar to a very under-stiffened egg meringue I've since made, and was apparently tasty enough that my younger sister learned about her love of meringues from that experiment. Not worth ever doing again, but not a waste of time and sugar either.
The chickpea version, I'm sure, is much preferable in terms of time, effort, and stiffening potential.
This is such a fun take on the debunking videos, makes them feel more interactive! I truly feel like a baking genius after watching all these videos too :)
Girl when I saw how aggressively you tossed in those cookies I knew that was fake. You put them cookies in that bowl with so much anger and rage at that foolishness 😂
That's so funny how you come up that

I knew it was fake lol
lmao XD
You can make cake from Oreos and milk. Let me show you.
1.Put 1 packet of Oreos in a bowl.
2.Put some milk in the same bowl.
3.Crush the Oreos until it becomes a paste.
4.Put it in the microwave.
5.Enjoy.😀😀😀😀
I knew the chickpea one was real because I remember reading an article about how chickpea juice is a perfect substitute to the properties of egg whites for whatever reason.
Alma Martinez Same, especially with the cream o tartar
That's because chickpeas are rich in protein, and it's the protein in egg whites that makes it whippable. You can also make amazing waffles with auquafaba ^_^
Same lol
I heard it on NPR!
same!
Man, I don't even bake and I managed to guess those all correctly! I guess something about the frosting and the cake felt off. It didn't seem like there were enough or the right ingredients to be so perfect, I guess. I'm happy with my mild amount of intuition!
I did not expect the first one to be real. The cut during the stirring and me not being used to using condensed milk led me to believe it couldn't get fluffy.
Learn something new every day.
My mom used to make “cream jello” by replacing an equal amount of the water in the recipe with evaporated milk (NOT sweetened condensed milk). It’s yummy, i make it often, and now i have to try this fluffy whipped version!
I love how she is absolutely trolling with the thumbnail.

Wishing you and. your loved. ones health and many blessings ❤
I knew the 1st one was real, my grandma always made it for me, it’s like a family thing, very tasty, strongly recommend!
Me too. I think it was a popular readers digest recipe from the 50s.
Not knowing of this recipe in my mid-20s (1992 or so), I decided to add a few generous dollops of softened vanilla ice cream to the still-warm liquid of strawberry Jello before it set, stirred until the ice cream melted, then put it in the fridge. I just wanted to see what the result was, and I got to enjoy a light, frothy, yummy treat. Hardly ground-breaking, but a new (at the time) delight for me!
@Purple_sus87
Lol sorry, at least I just spoiled 1 and not 4
Jello 1-2-3 was a product that had the layers, from regular jello to a creamy-frothy level.
Thx for the info. When I get bored I like to cook stuff, now I have a new recipe 😋

4:35 I am NOT easily fooled! You're easily fooled! I'm going to go cry and eat more of this delicious oreo cake with snicker's icing.
There’s a silver lining, though. We saw her make a buttercream frosting flavored with a Snickers bar. The hack method may not work, but Snickers icing does exist.
I got the fluff, the Oreo cake and the macrons right. You fooled me with the Snickers frosting footage! I should have known better, but you're too good! I would be interested in tasting aquafaba macrons, AND I learned that you have to cook the chickpea liquid down to make aquafaba. I’ve been allergic to eggs my entire life and have never had a macaron, now I can try them!! Thanks Ann!! :D
I tired so many if these 'hacks' none of them have worked. I was was really bummed when I thought I failed. Now I just use recipes from actual cooks like you. Thank you Ann!
Alice Hu every time I see a ‘hack’ that has me intrigued, I search to see if anyone else has actually tried it. That way I don’t waste time and ingredients trying it myself.
I'm also irritated by how many internet cooks don't bother to mention what the problems with a recipe are. They make everything sound super easy even when it takes a lot of effort. This just results in people thinking they suck at cooking when in reality they're running into trouble that's inherent in the recipe itself. All because some cooks want to keep getting views. It's completely unfair to the viewers, in my opinion.
Real Fake Fake Real. The oreo cake had no flour, the snickers frosting was a different shade of color. Thats atleast how I looked at it.

I made the first recipe, the jelly mousse, and it was so easy to make, and delicious! Great recipe and budget friendly!
As someone who was always stuck on dishwashing duty after making rice crispies at school foods class, I knew for sure the snickers frosting was not gonna happen. While making rice crispies was fun and delicious, cleaning the sticky and dried marshmallows at the end was extremely frustrating, and I refuse to believe that beating it would turn that into smooth frosting 🤣
As a vegan those macaroons being real made my day lol
Same!! I want ten😂
The first recipe is something my Gran used to make us when I was little, she called it fairy pudding. All the kids in the street loved it, and it was my favourite treat in the middle of summer :)
We call it fluff here. I've had it a few times, it's not bad.

Mum used to make a mousse like dessert using the first recipe though I can't remember if anything else was added. This was in the 70s. She made a great chocolate flavour one. You can also make s milk jelly using half milk half water. Make up jelly with .5 pint boiling water, allow to cool u til starting to set, stir in half a pint of milk and mix thoroughly, allow to set. Kids live it and it's healthier than plain jelly.
Got 4 out of 4, no baking genius though!

2 and 3 reminded me exactly of those scams, copious amounts of branded items that transform into something that look completely different and like out of a packet.

1 I can tell was real because of the jello packets properties.
As someone whose diet is mostly plant based I knew the last one was going to be real.
@Hannah Hen I'm not a vegan though 😬
Hannah Hen you really thought you did something there huh? lmao
Yep
How IS aquafava as an egg sub, anyway? I've always been curious on that, but I don't really eat chickpeas enough to justify a can.
Yikes lmao
I am amazed that I got all of them right, I've seen the last one before, but the other three I had no experience with, I just figured that the frosting wouldn't look that pale cuz of what it looked like before, and the cake looked a bit too perfect for me, the first one I just figured, jelly, should work.
I thought #2 was fake, because I figured it wouldn't pipe, but I wasn't sure whether it would whip. Very cool video
I feel like all of them are fake but I’m betting on one and four being the real ones.

I got 4/4! I almost missed the frosting and the macarons but then the ingredients for the macarons sounded familiar from when I dabbled in vegan baking years ago, and while I didn't remember exactly WHY the frosting wouldn't work, I figured it wouldn't be thick enough to pipe.
Yay, got it all correct! 😆 thought was very confused with macaroons, I only ever made them with eggs. My fav ones are chocolate with nutella buttercream 🤤

My rule of thumb is anything that uses weird branded snacks instead of regular ingredients is almost certainly fake. Oreos? Snickers? Marshmallows? Definitely suspect right from the get-go. Even if it worked it would be expensive, annoying, and probably taste funky compared to using proper ingredients.
Tell it to my Oreo Cheesecake with oreo frosting or Snicker melts.... o.O but yeah I got all these right but also for the most part you are right.
*Claw Dragons* I mean, marshmallows are baking ingredients, but the way they were used is a different story, the application is what made it sus
Yeah Marshmallows aren't a branded thing, they are a classic confection. I wouldn't be sus with something using those bigger brand marshmallows as they are still marshmallows but snickers and oreos are for sure usually always sus. If it's a candy bar or a premade cookie that doesn't have enough fats or leavenings, and in general if it doesn't mention one of the big things of baking like flours, fats, eggs, sugars, or a leavening agent of some kind, its bs. Most of the ones using branded products are the biggest violators to the laws of the chemistry of baking. Eggs is the only one that I can see being substituted in some way to still work, but the others are almost certainly a no go. Almost certain that they attach themselves to branded stuff to make it seem more legit or to make it more likely to show up in a search than if you used a generic name for these products. Bakers beware.
KATIEKATQwQ so long.. imma try to read it all
Huh? Since when are plain unbranded marshmallows 'branded' snacks, let alone 'weird branded' snacks??

Steven universe Wormi boy they are talking about the channels that make fake recipes to just go viral. Channels like 5 minute crafts. Anne is just making this video to make a point and have a little fun.
You already know they won’t
This is exactly why I hate content farmers.
??
There are FB and other groups, and forum groups, with people in them dedicated to getting them to post fake stuff - some of them go out of their way to make dangerous fake videos (like the strawberry bleach one.) to try and get the content farmers in trouble.
I got almost 3 out of 4, so yay! I didn't think the cake would work = correct. I was a little on the fence for the snickers icing, though mostly skeptical. So, maybe 2.5 out of 4? Hee. Enjoyed!
Blending a snickers in a buttercream frosting is brilliant tho
I legit cant even bake a cake without it falling apart
I physically can’t bake a cake. Mainly because I don’t have an oven.
@Daisy 😂
@@ElZamo92 steam cakes! I was without an oven for a while and making steam cakes helped curb the cravings
U need to watch more of Ann's vids.
@Swamp Really? Have you checked to have the right ingredients? By that I mean actual butter and large eggs, the right kind of flour etc? Cakes are some of the easier recipes to make, so it would help if you let us know what goes wrong when making it. Everyone should be able to enjoy some home-made cakes -they're the BEST cakes!

Edit: well, I'm average and probably overly skeptical.
I thought the Same thing. Was like they all seem too easy to be true.... And chickpeas really?
Yeah thats what I thought. Every time I had jello as a kid, the water had to be heated to boiling or whatnot for it to set, so I was thinking along the same lines. The Snickers Icing, I was curious where the nuts and nugat went. The cake I didn't really follow well, and the chickpea macaroons surprised me.
Jaigarful, actually, you’re not supposed to boil the water, as it would destroy the gelatine which would cause the jello not to set. However, if you want to use pineapple juice for jello, you need to boil the juice first to destroy an enzyme which would stop the gelatine from working.
I've been making 1 wrong
Hey listen it's always better to be skeptical about stuff you see on youtube than just to believe it all right away.
I have tried aquafaba meringues so many ways.... your recipe has th reduction step. I will have to give it another shot.
