Thank you for all these great ideas! I love them!!!
I loved The Name Jar page/activity! I will read this and do this activity every year now! They loved finding colored squares for the letters of their name. I had two sized squares for those with longer or shorter names and demonstrated that. This was such a great way to reinforce what are vowels and consonants. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Ms. Jones. I love using old school Sesame Street clips to teach numbers. Teaching numbers was one of their stated goals, so there are a lot of clips.
Your organization is amazing!
You are an amazing teacher 👩🏻🏫
Love that WIN slide
so helpful thanks🤩
Hi Susan! I am recreating your beginning sound task card bin. Could you please let me know what clear bin and colorful little containers you used/purchased? I want to ensure the small colorful containers fit inside the big one! I hope that makes sense. Thanks so much!
In your last video, you mentioned using a digital calendar. I currently use an oversized, pocket chart calendar that takes up nearly half of my white board space. I would love to see how you've transitioned to a digital format in a future video. Thank you for always creating such useful resources!
I can absolutely do that!!
Great! I would love to see this too🤗
Me too. My calendar takes up too much room on my board as well.
Beautiful class.. where did you get the clear plastic case with the smaller color cases for the task cards?
They're called photo storage boxes - here they are on amazon: amzn.to/48buYMK
Thanks so much!
did you create the "where and find color sheets for the letters. They were in your Wed folder. Phonics folder?
Hi Susan,
In your video you mentioned the spinner game was from your August Print and Play Seasonal Set but I don’t see that in your TPT store. Could you please post the link to that set??!! THANK YOU!!!
Right now those are only in the SJT Math Club! I will work on getting those in TPT soon!
How do you play find the fish?
I going to try the number sort up to 10 for my Kindergarten student
I teach second grade and would love to have morning work from you. Have you thought of making morning work for second?
I would love to! Right now I only have kindergarten and first grade, but 2nd grade is on my "to do" list!
You said that you are starting Foundations for phonics. Are you using UFLI Foundations? We are using it for the first time this year, I first heard about them through you! If you are using it I would love to see how you make is more colorful and engaging.
We are using FUNdations - through Wilson. It’s another SOR aligned program. I do love UFLI though!
I would love to treat you to a Starbucks...or two :) Please let me know if you have a link to send you a gc. I am so appreciative of your videos every Sunday!
You are so kind, Randee!!! No need though, I promise!! ❤️❤️❤️
where do you get the find and color worksheets?
Those are currently in my SJT Literacy Club! I can work on getting them over to TPT soon
I couldn’t imagine teaching when it is 90 degrees, humid, and no air conditioning!!! How do the students even think clearly!!!
They aren’t 🤪😩🫠. But we try to do most of learning in the AM and by afternoon time, we’re really trying to stay cool and do some calm, collaborative activities. Thankfully, it doesn’t happen too often up here!
When I lived in Maine, we did not have air-conditioning in the schools and August and September could be a challenge! Stay cool, and thanks for your videos!
Do you have a math curriculum or are you just using your own program?
We are using Math in Focus this year! That will be new for me. We are starting to dive into that this week, so in the meantime I was using my own slides to review! I will probably use my slides with subs too since they’re direct and guided!
Where did you get spinners?
I have them from a bunch of different places (lakeshore, really good stuff, amazon)! I recently got another 10-pack from amazon here: amzn.to/3PwV3Ob
Thank you for your videos. Love them and the fact you are living the teacher life and sharing with us. Keep them coming, PLEASE!
Where do you teach?
What state????
