That's what I do for subs, I always leave detailed plans. I use to be a sub I know what it's like to have no idea what you are doing. I also pick one day to get my slides done for the following week. My teammates and I are all responsible for one subject area. We write the plans and the slides for our subject and send it to each other. Everyone will tweak based on their own class. Makes it much easier prepping. Love my Stanley too! ❤️

Hi Susan! Would you by any chance have your cute Open House Slides for sale in your TPT or would you be able to share an editable version? They are so simple and to the point-I tend to be too wordy sometimes!🤣THANKS!

Do you have your five finger retell slide anywhere? I looked on tpt but couldn't find it. Love your work! Thank you so much for all you do!

Can you share the inventive spelling letter? I love that and I'd love to use it at conferences! The small group plan sounds interesting! I have a hard time getting everything finished in the plan we use.

I left a 5 page detailed plan this last Friday...step by step on how to access the panel, what to read with students, expectations for reading....the sub said her "Throat hurt" and had a student read off the spelling words, gave the answers to the test and even wrote the words for one of the kids who did not understand her accent...I had to come in Monday, redo the test, read the story, then give out a different test...ANNOYING. I love your ideas. I would love to see those 2nd grade Hill plans and the pre-prepped lessons. Very cool that most of it is ready to go!

I love you sub idea with the stickers! Do you have the templates for sale? Also, do you know if 2nd grade small groups run in the same way? I am wondering how long the focus is on phonics and decodables? We don't have decodables in my district.. just leveled text sets, which makes it hard. But I can't spend 24 hrs. a day creating everything. I am also so interested in your WIN time.. love that SEL is included! I keep saying we need RTI for SEL. How does it work in your school?
Thanks for the videos! I find myself spending a whole Sunday morning watching... instead of cleaning my house! LOL!

Susan could you share some of the math/literacy games they can do with their children at home?

I love all your videos! Thx for posting even though I can just imagine how busy you must be!!!!
I’d like to introduce task cards…. I got the photo holders for the cards themselves but just wondering how you organize the manipulatives? Do you put the manipulatives for each one needed in each box (I find there’s not enough room usually?) or do the kids then have to grab those separately? How do you organize those? Thx in advance for your reply.

I would love to know if your aid is with you full-time every day and also, how do you document for your standards-based grading on the report card. How do you keep up with that?

Did you say Hill Reading program? Can you talk more about that?

    • @SusanJonesTeaching

Hill for Literacy is a company here in MA that provides SOR aligned PD and works closely with districts to make sure our literacy programs/schedules/small group etc. are aligned to the research! It's pretty great! It isn't a program, but instead uses the curriculum we have to make sure we are aligned.

Is it possible to get your open house slides in an editable format. You are a slide making wiz! It would take me a month to make something that seems so simple.
