I have the Mission Study Bible. It's got so many study helps. One of the deepest study bibles on the market. Only thing that didn't make it one of my all time favorites is the paper. It's super thin, tons of show through. Feels like I'm going to rip it every time I turn the page.
This looks like much better paper, and I love those wide margins. Oh well...Might have to dive in and grab this one too. Thanks so much for these reviews!

Same here, it is such a good bible. Only handicap to buying this is the fact that this is in the kjv but I would rather have in the nkjv. But still, it's an amazing bible and I too hope to get it someday

This bible is rich and loaded with very handy tools for in-depth bible study. Thank you for this review. :D Also, I've noticed some changes in the Academy Study Bible. The center text are now printed away from the center binding; the former Academy Study Bible printed the center text very close to the center binding that the text looks as though it is being sucked inside the center binding. Also the "A" on the name of the bible has been changed. it looks like they've used the greek "a". Nice bible overall.
Got me sold! Now, who wants my Cambridge Wide Margin, Goatskin in KJV?
this bible eas originally released several years ago as "The Redemption Study Bible"..
both bibles basically contain commentary and outline from Ellen G. White..
I did not realized they changed the name on this bible.. perhaps due to a different publishing house gaining the rights to print it?..
These Bibles need to be genuine leather. That’s the only thing that keeps me from buying.
Looking to buy my husband a better Bible.
I had decided on the Platinum but then you said in another post the mission Bible was better for studies.
How does this one compare?

Where did purchase these Bibles?
I can see details that surprise me quite a lot... For instance, 07:24 Do I read correctly on the chart "Noah enters the ark at Feb. 10" and "Beginning of the Flood at Feb. 17"? Does that really mean Feb. for... February??? For "the second month" Moses writes of in Genesis 7:11?
11:01 One can clearly see the time line goes straight from Thursday Nissan 13 to Friday Nissan 15. Where is Nissan 14, the day the Lord was put to death???

Moses says the first of the month is April 1 that is why catholic church makes fun of April 1 for it is the correct day of the first month. So May would be the 2nd Month

@6:05 *What do the letters (acronyms?).. TDNT and AV and TWOT stand for? I have this exact Academy study bible...and for the life of me it doesn't explain anywhere on what these acronyms mean. Unless I totally missed it! lol Help? Anyone??* thanks!
TDNT = Theological Dictionary of the New Testament
TWOT = Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament
They are books used in advanced university courses I believe. The kind of reference material used by people with doctorates in papers that are published in peer-reviewed journals

I like this Bible because it has center column reference. And it is worth it. I wanted to see John 1:1 and it's comments. Does this Bible teach non- trinitarian beliefs which is the correct view of SDA Pioneers? I wonder. I like it has wide margins to write notes.

The KJV Bible does not use the word "Trinity." Our KJV-authorized Holy Bible states that the three highest powers of the Godhead in scripture refer unquestionably to three distinct and unified co-eternal personalities, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, who are pledged to be present at our baptism.

Too bad we cant get this Bible without the heretical Seven-Day Adventist notes. Pass
The Bible is for SDA's who believe in the biblical gift of the Spirit of Prophecy given through EG White. Revelation 19:10 Certainly nothing heretical here, and nothing but a blessing my whole life of 40 years SDA! Can't wait to receive this Bible! I've had a smaller version from 1997 and was highly blessed as well.

I like hardbound bibles they last longer.
No way I want E.G.Whites commentary writings. A woman preacher that is condemned in the bible.
I like bibles with strong’s but would not buy this bible, do not like commentaries, or other writers opinions or doctrines.
Ellen White wasn't a preacher. She was an inspired teacher.
She was a seventh day Adventist who founded that church.
Preachers are inspired teachers.

@@OAPublishing yes, no female prophets today. A prophet is one who gets a message direct from God. We have the bible so no prophets are needed. Women preachers are condemned. The Bible is the written word of God. Moses sister was a prophetess.
