I have had the Volspeed v3 on my Trek Rail 9 for three years now, set at 63kph, never had any issues. Hate riding without it turned on as the 32kph limit Trek set is actually 27kph on GPS. So a couple of pedals in turbo and the motor would stop assisting. Essential!!!
Have 650 km on GasGas trail 3 with Yamaha pw-st motor with Volspeed 3 since day one this spring. No problem. My motor/bike doesn’t use updates so I think I am safe.
This chip is currently compatible with the latest bosch firmware, Provided you have the rear disc or rear wheel spoke mounted speed sensor magnet this chip will work. It will not work if you have the magnet mounted around the tyre inflation valve
The latest version of the Volspeed chip has been updated to be compatible with the April Update, Older Volspeed chips do need to be updated to maintain functionality with the latest firmware.

How long before we might see the new Pinion MGU unlocked?
I'd expect it's going to be a couple of months before we see any solutions for the Pinion system
I have version 12.13.0, I won't be able to use the chip ?

So sad that you even need to put a chip in to go 45. My ultra powered e22 does 50 out of the box.
Just be careful alot of people online are posting the system is bricking after 200 miles with the new April update

Just don’t update.
What precisely do you mean by “bricking” what are the symptoms…Cheers…
