God I love Mr. Patrick-Harris. It's so refreshing to see one of our own, meaning gays, representing us in such a wonderful and mostly true way. (Except most of us have nowhere near his talent). Anyway, not the way most of the media like to portray us sometimes. But the way most of us are. But he himself is so special, he made a brunette-only-loving, blonde gay man, want a blonde. Who cares. But he's just so awesome. God.

He became an instant punchline, since everyone assumed he was basically just incapable of meeting the physical demands of doing 8 shows a week. Ultimately, arbitration proceedings actually sided with Piven on the grounds of his health in general, though the sushi allegation has never been proven, and remains dubious.

It's a theater joke. everyone eats Sushi during productions and many actors say it gives them the energy to keep going night after night.
