...GENIAL!... I could connect to the internet via WIRELESS, but NOT through LAN. Following the simple steps shown in the video fixed up my problem straight away and I can now connect with either/both WIRELESS or LAN. Thousand thanks, DEVICE MANAGER!
+Kwame Mcdonald + Khalid Askar It doesn't matter if you change the settings on your wireless or your wired... but if you have MORE than ONE device connected to your network you have to make sure that each of them has a different number in the last group of numbers at the IP Address... and you have to check with your ISP the correct figures for your DNS Server because they change it from time to time. Here are my settings (modem/router TP Link TD-W8901G): IP Address: 192.168.1. 3 (the last number will vary from device to device - put anything at random until it is accepted) Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.101 DNS Server: 203.29.125.2 (you need to check with your ISP for the DNS Server figures) Good luck!
Very well done. This worked on my Local Area Connection problem. I was hesitant to go through it when first started. But, the voice came on and I could actually understand it. Slow enough that even I could follow. Thank you.
Tq tq tq tq tq.and plus infinite times. Literally i watched nearly about 50 RUclips videos for this problem. And only this video solved it , once again tq
I don't know if this is the thing that helps me, bt after I did exactly what u did, I change the cables from router to PC each to the opposite area, and I disable the network connection. After that I put another troubleshooting that did things to me. It was something with the cable, now it works fine. Hope I help someone. Thanks for the video mate, Big Like!
of all the videos I watched just to fix my wifi connection, this one truly works. thanks man. you are a legend! You took my worries away! God bless you for sharing your knowledge! 🙏❤
This is a work around, NOT a fix for the problem. Reinstalling the latest wireless driver solved this exact problem for me. You should never have to manually apply IP addresses in your TCPIP settings. Unless you have a specific need to do so. Most common end users simply need to fix the issue, not apply a work around that includes a gateway address routed through India ... of all places. --- Start with updating/reinstalling your wireless driver. Or your lan driver if you are experiencing a problem with your network port. If still no luck ... remove your router from the equation. And connect the computer directly to your modem. If you can get online, your router has a problem. If you still can't get online, do some research on Winsock repairs and resetting Windows networking components, Google is your friend.
Thanks for this comment! I upgraded to the new Xfinity modem and I don't know why I didn't realize it before that it provides its own WiFi as well. The problem was I had the Ethernet cord still hooked up to the old router. I used the Ethernet cord to hook it up directly to my computer and now my WiFi works all around. Thanks again man!
Chuck G I'm having this same problem except I have Internet Access. Only some websites work like RUclips but everything else don't load. I installed LAN adapters from my motherboard's website (ASUS) and it will fix the problem. But when I restart the computer, it's back to the problem like I never installed any drivers. I have to uninstall network adapters for each session.
This got me close to where i needed to be and i figured out the rest myself, so thanks for that. Using Windows 8 when trying to click properties it was grayed out and did not allow me to do so. I alternatively clicked on enable connection and it worked perfectly. Thanks.
the ip address 192.168.1.101 is specific to what network you are connecting to. If that IP is already use then this will fail. also your assuming that every network is 192.168.1.??? this might not be the case as a lot of default networks use 192.168.0 as well and its not unusual to see 10.0.0.1 as the router IP so the DNS information can also be miss leading. im sorry but this video only shows people how to connect to your network as you.
You have by-passed the problem instead of fixing it. Actually people don't necessarily want to use fixed setting but DHCP. And that is what they want to fix. Thanks
Geiles Video!!!
Marc Willis if the problem actually is an invalid ip, and your adapter uses dynamic ip, then yes. But would you believe it, Windows troubleshooter isn’t always right, so it might not even be an issue with the ip *gasp* it’s a shocker, I know.
ONE FIX IS TO put firewall settings to default and if u have addition virus scanners like avast make sure u have not clicked on enable OFFLINE MODE!!! I broke my head figuring it out then i realize what i did:/
Warning for those who used the instructions. The problem is the DNS server in the instructions is in India. DNS server translates domain names (google.com) into IP addresses (209.85.135.103) and it does this for every site that you visit in the browser. You don't want to trust a random server (in this case in India) to tell you what the ip address for various domains are?
As an example if you open citi.com to login to your bank account, it can give the wrong ip address and direct you to their own server. The server can host pages similar to your bank account and collect your login and password when you attempt to login.
Farzin Mohammadi but after I followed the instructions, the computer went back to automatically looking for ip and dns addresses. It wouldn't keep the one the uploader gave to us. It fixed my problem that I tried many things to fix. The command prompt stuff didn't work
I'd love to know where you got the information in that notepad box...? Where do I get that for mine? I ran ipconfig to get some info. Is that what I need?
When I try this I get a pop-up "Warning - The default gateway is not on the same network segment (subnet) that is defined by the IP address and the subnet mask. Do you want to save this configuration?" I get a yes or no option. Do I really want to do say yes? I see on your screen that you have copied the configuration you are recommending to a notepad entry. Can you tell us how to get the data for our computers? Using ipconfig in a command prompt does not get me the 5 lines of data yours shows.
...GENIAL!...

Thank you. It worked. 18-10-2020. Regards form Yemen.
Hey, thanks man! It was really annoying to waste time for windows to fix this problem every time I booted up my PC. Now it doesn't have to! Thanks!
This got me close to where i needed to be and i figured out the rest myself, so thanks for that. Using Windows 8 when trying to click properties it was grayed out and did not allow me to do so. I alternatively clicked on enable connection and it worked perfectly. Thanks.

I have this problem so many times until met this method from you.

I was thinkng the same thing. This fix doesnt apply to every one. You on a completely different network and could easily be in a different IP range.
exactly! Also what if it's supposed to be set to dhcp and not static? This video is bunk...
Thanks for the solution! Worked for me and my desktop with ethernet connection ( after i wasted my last one hour to find a solution)
Brilliant thanks! Sorted a problem after a Windows update. So pleased!
This really works out of soooo many videos thank you so much ☺️☺️☺️
You have by-passed the problem instead of fixing it. Actually people don't necessarily want to use fixed setting but DHCP. And that is what they want to fix. Thanks

guys don't put a random ip adress in. just manually reset the local area connection adaptor. that is all.

Thanks a good easy to follow tutorial. Fixed the problem in a few minutes. 😀

i see your doing and its similar whats popping on my screen and easy to follow the tutorial thank you
why it says unidentified network (no internet conncetion)
how to fix it?
Thank you so much 😀
Can this be dangerous? I mean its a random ip address.
xBubba32x yes, do not put in a specific ip. The fact that this guy is telling you to put THAT specific ip is kinda sketchy. I don’t trust.
@@silverkrystel5710 Geez. The IP address this guy tells you to put in is a local IP that is only valid within your own network.
You just saved someone's life.. Marry me maybe?
Your a legend thanks so much :)
