This guy went step-by-step explaining things in a logical manner rather than rushing into things and throwing technical terms on the face of viewer without bothering, they understand it or not. Thumbs Up if you agree.
Another helpful CMD command for troubleshooting networks is PATHPING it combines aspects of the PING and the TRACERT commands. Output of the command will allow you to see the path and hops but more importantly if your network is degraded you will be able to see exactly where you are dropping packets.
THANKS FOR BRINGING SIMPLICITY AND CLARITY TO THIS OFTEN MUDDLED UP TOPIC OF TROUBLE SHOOTING IN COMPUTER NETWORKING. YOU MADE IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND DIGEST! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
EXCELLENT video! Your style is clear, informative, concise and I appreciate that you put up the definitions each time. Looking forward to more of your videos.
PA..liked the beginner troubleshooting networks, I learned more in five minutes than I did at work from my collegues. Please give us more short beginner troubleshooting tasks.
Great explanation bro! I'm doing an assignment r n for my CSC 255 class that involves me pinging my VM machine from my host machine and I guarantee this video will help me a lot 🗣🗣
just an added tip to everyone and first thank you Sakitech for the video, when you are doing a ping or a tracert to a public server, or going across the internet to reach a certain site and your tracert fails on a couple of hops, it does not always mean that hop is having a problem, alot of ISPs block ICMP messages (ping, tracert) so it doesn't overload their equipment, but it will pass the packet through to the next hop.
Excellent work my friend. I learned so much from this. I'm sick and tired of taking online courses for my job that have no videos. I can't learn without having someone explain itd. Reading a book to learn something drives me insane! Haha
this guy are cool perhaps if he become my teacher in computer education i might understand all the way.. his english are clear.. smooth voice.. and perfectly not on a hurry.. while explaining all the details.. if his my boss in working i can clearly followed all the task his going to give to me.. i hope his going to make more vedeo about computer.. command.. and others.. more power..create more..vedeo pls. highly recommended for friends.. thanks..
When you ping your router, do you get a response or a timeout? Looks like you are being assigned an APIPA IP address since it starts with 169. That happens when DHCP server fails. Try restarting your router.
+sakitech Can I fix this problem? When I type in ping 109.92.89.193 (that IP exists) I get: Reply from 109.92.89.193: bytes=32 time=36ms TTL=55 Reply from 109.92.89.193: bytes=32 time=52ms TTL=55 Reply from 109.92.89.193: bytes=32 time=29ms TTL=55 Reply from 109.92.89.193: bytes=32 time=35ms TTL=55 But if I try with more bytes of data (ex. 5000) it says Request timed out. Can I fix it?
I am a beginning Network student, I'm getting my CISCO certification. My boss recommended this video. I learned a lot sir. What other videos do you have that will help me on my Networking Journey.
My God. What you explain in 14:33sec took my network instructor 3 days and 4hr per class session to explain. I understood more in 14min then in 3 days of class. My god....
The Service is great value . As a new recruit it is some what necessary to get a tutorial that is clear to your perception and needs an accurate assessment of the most relevant to assist and maximise the true benefit - and from my position it was the most difficult area for me to determine , as all the assist's are top class so I think the delivery classification is paramount in getting the correct info for the job at hand I would like to compliment all the contributors on a a first class effort , as the process has and continues to be of great benefit to me and thousands of others needing to find the right path
Can you make an equivalent video for powershell? The advantage of powershell is that the information that is displayed in the terminal is not only human-readable, but also computer-readable, meaning it is easy to write scripts that make decisions based on the data that you gathered. This allows us to codify our knowledge once instead of doing the same things multiple times. Programming FTW
Thanks...very informative for a rookie like me. Video and explanation to the T and very professional! So I'm now a subscriber to your channel. Your contribution and many others, in different fields, help to empower users, like me - Thumbs up!!!!

Hello i watched the video and when i wrote >Nslookup google.com< it says ''Unknown can't find google.com: Query Refused'' Server: Unknown Address: fe80::1 I would like to ask you some questions, please help, thanks anyway
I am thankful for your video tutorial on Network Troubleshooting using PING, IPCONFIG, TRACERT, NSLOOKUP. I followed down the tutorial and all was achieved exactly the way it was shown. However, I have a question to ask from you: I have a network in my place of work which I manage; After formatting a system and connected it back to the system it refused to connect to the server but can browse very well. I have tried the workgroup and also the Network ID but still have some issues. Can u help?
if I explore your channel further and understand the different aspects of it then possibly I can save myself $99 each year connecting with HP. Thank you so much for this.
Excellent job teaching. There is a difference in knowing and how to teach. Some may know but do not know how to convey the knowledge. Keep up the good work.
Well Said and simply said. Thanks for your video. A question: I have an older IP camera (Panasonic WV-NP472). I plug it into my network, power it up and can see the camera communicating (blinking green light). Is there a video that will show me how to find my camera IP address?
Google runs on cluster servers, i used to work in data center and google was a customer and we support them. When you ping google.com, it routes to google servers closest to you, they are massive, one of the type of servers they run are in stacks of cluster linux servers. With NSLookup you can also look at the other records like A, MX etc
this video is extremely easy to understand difficult things!!! I am pretty impressed!!!!!!! Thanks a lot to sakitech from a bottom of my heart, keep uploading new videos........ I'll wait :)
Great video - very comprehensive and easy to follow. I have a problem perhaps you can help. I am using a DLink modem router. I am trying to set up static routing and I need to fill in the Router's IP. Unfortunately, the preset LAN-1 Interface has the same address. Can this be right? Or can I change one or the other? Thanks
