Hi friends! As requested, I posted a video on my NEW CHANNEL @kaysgreatgetaway If you want to see what Allie and I did after we landed🥰
👌Siete fantastiche🙏💪✌
New sub here, in the future would like to see you fly to Boerne TX and stay at Desperado Resort when Matt of DemoRanch gets it up and running. Mat is also on RUclips with 10+ million subs.
Remember to bring your guns for the range. 😁
Need to see more of you two! Fun to watch!
Congratulations Kay, as you may be aware by now, Hoover at Pilot Debrief (another RUclips channel) used your fuel consumption issue (after your magneto replacement) and subsequent landing at an alternate airport as a text book example of how to handle an “emergency” in flight. All of his comments about your flying technique, procedures, etc., were absolutely positive and supporting. His channel typically focuses on things pilots did wrong that ultimately caused an accident, and in most cases, fatalities. But in his recent video you were the example of how to do it right. You are a consummate aviator! Love watching your channel!
yes,, just got home and saw that.. great exposure and great, "regular" piloting, Kay!!
I also watched his debrief - Outstanding job Kay! Keep doing it right and inspiring all of us to fly!!
Me too. Great airmanship (or is that airpersonship these days?)
True
Hoover sent me.
Came here from Hoover's Pilot Debrief. Great to see a young pilot who does things right. New subscriber.
Awesome, thank you!
There are bold piolets!
There are old piolets!
Any old bold piolets? 🤔
Allie is a great co-pilot. You could tell she was much more relaxed in this video. You two should fly together more often. Maybe a cross country trip!
You are a natural instructor and presenter. I enjoy your video very much!
I really like seeing this side of you Kate! You're in full fun instructor mode!
Allie is also cool to be with you! She's soaking in flight information!!
I've been in the right seat. Fun times!!
Kay, you are such a great mentor and friend.
Thanks Kay & Allie. Two beautiful ladies & a great flight. Hope to see more of Kay & Allie flying together.
As a non-current private pilot, I greatly enjoy your videos as they remind me of what a great time I had flying. Delighted to be a Kayviator!
Yay, that makes me super happy! Glad you are here!!
You made an episode of pilot debrief. Hoover broke down your diverted flight, to show his audience how it’s done when it’s done right.. well done
NIIIIICE! ❤
That was a fun 39 minutes and 52 seconds watching your fun and FAST flight! My 90 year old Dad was watching with me and commented, "She's a real Chatty Kathy!"
I defended you as recording a RUclips video training & entertaining your viewers!
Funny to see how busy you got soon after starting in on your monster sandwich! Can't you just make a call & say you are at lunch and don't bother me for 15 minutes?!!!
😂😂😂😂
Allie took the turbulence just fine. I never liked turbulence lol. Good flight. I'm guessing flight training is in her future? Whoever was your CFI should be hers. You are very accomplished, but at the same time, you have great common sense to go with book smarts. You know stuff and you can fix things.
Kudos Kay from me a fellow CFII for making the Hoover tube! Well done on your emergency becoming a "non" emergency! Keep eyes on all instruments as you do so well and take action so you can fly another day!!
Hi Kay, coming in today from Hoover's Pilot debrief channel, I instantly became a Kayviator.
Me not being a pilot, but very interested in flying and air traffic, I absolutely adore your way of handling your flights. Everything looks easy, but structured and self-disciplined. And very very entertaining. Great channel 👍🏻
Kay, the real deal pilot. Keep the vids coming. Thank you!
I enjoy your convos with Allie as you fly… bring her along more often!
Omg I lost it at 30:48. Just found your channel after seeing you discussed by Hoover on Pilot Debrief. I love aero vlogs like this. Will be watching more! My son and I recently received our certificates and purchased a Piper Comanche. Looking forward to many fun adventures like this.
"What's the difference between an approch and an arrival?" Is a good question! One simple way I like to describe it (which helps most people understand the general difference) is that an arrival is to get you near the airport, and the approach is to get you onto the runway.
One person I would fly with. Professional, safe.
I really enjoy your videos. I had to medically retire from ARFF at an international airport back in 2015 and i really miss interacting with ATCT. I live vicariously through your communication with them. Great channel!
Allie seems to retain details and has a quick grasp of things. If Kay does teach her she'll be a good one. Actually, this was a very good teaching flight; as good as I've seen. She's throwing the real complexity of flying at her.
Subscribed after seeing you on Pilot Debrief...will pass along to my brother who is a new pilot (54 years old). Watching from S.E. British Columbia.
I enjoyed it. A girl said they're pretty good. Both of you is talking back of forth laughing.
She did pretty good listen to you. She's so learn. She's afraid she's not nervous.
You seem a brilliant competent pilot, well prepared, situationally aware, excellent with your IFR comms… and loving it :-)
Really enjoyed this video with you and Allie! Y’all are a hoot in the air! Hope Allie does well in her training.
I love this channel, watching two lovely young ladies having a great time, i would LOVE to fly with you Kay, you really are a GREAT instructor, and know your plane so well
Cool, another flight with Kay and Allie!
"The airplane comes first" Good pilot!
Really enjoy your videos, keep up the great work.
Congrats on your new channel! I enjoyed seeing where you and Allie went for dinner and some entertainment. Thanks for sharing. I often wonder while watching your videos how someone in their 20's can afford an airplane like this and all of the related expenses? What do you do for a living? I really appreciate what a good pilot you seem to be especially with all of the status and condition updates that you give all along your journeys. Keep up the great work and I'll keep tuning in! Thanks again!
great video Kay you and your friend obviouly had fun, and it was a great flying experience to watch. thank you for sharing Larry
Here from Pilot Debrief. Looking forward to catching up with your previous, and new, adventures!
Always love flying with Kay!
Loved the video. Lots of fun with Allie.
Another great video Kay; I always enjoy them - even though I have been flying for over 43 years - still enjoy the exhilaration of the moment of lift off. My question to you is about your wing camera. I have used a wing camera (suction cup mount) on top of my Archer wing on short flights but did not feel comfortable leaving in on for longer flights. Keep flying and having fun!
✈️Girls just wanna have fun.
I am learning something what you're saying.I'm watching what you talk about and i'm learning how to fly a plane
Congrats Kay, and Yayyyyyyyyy, on the great review from Hoover on the Pilot Debrief channel, on your, Failure in Lil Red Video, Love watching your channel, keep up the great work, You Go Girl!!!
I would feel safe with you as pilot Kay. Last time i flew was 1974, i was 22 yrs old, now 71+: 727 Boeing stretch, and partial DC 3. I have only flown on three aircraft, otw to Florida, and back through Georgia. I am not afraid of flying, never had another reason to fly, nor the money either. Your very good at concentration, spatial orientation, focus and safety. It is fun to watch you make a journey. ❤💯🙏 from SE Texas Orange, LA Border 🖐
Thanks Kay for another absolutely fantastic video. You and Allie rock. Loved the interaction between you gals, you gals had me grinning ear to ear again. 😁
Thanks so much!!
Excellent video and to see you instructing Kay is amazing she is amazing more videos please enjoy your content keep it up ladies
i love how you handle all the completely understandable passenger distractions and still do everything right ❤
You should hit mcallen, TX. Kmfe. Hotels, food and a huge mall within walking distance. 93F yesterday.
Awesome flight....Thanks!
Always assure your passenger.
She makes a good traveling mate. It's fun to watch you both together. Be safe!
You have a beautiful voice yourself. You are always amazing. Have a safe flight. ❤
nailed the landing - excellent! and ty for your content!!!
love the channel! well done.... Request a tour of the Instrument panel ? Love the addition of Allie...
U guys are Awesome!
I like your site because you fly by the book, no bravado, just solid safe flying. You follow all the rules, you should be commended.
You two are a riot. Fun video.
Love your videos. You are a great instructor. The thought of being a pilot is scary, but your cool headed explanations removes the fear of the unknown. 🎉
Well thank you very much 🥰
Enjoyed the flight with you both. 💜💜🛩
I just love, love, love your videos. Informative, fun, and just an all around pick me up (pick me up. Get it? Old pilot joke. Okay. Disregard). It's so interesting to realize that newbies are squeamish about talking on the radio, but seem quite comfortable talking, eating, giggling and such for all the world to see on the videos.
Great job, great flight!!
I love the channel, Kay.
Kay, been following. I sure hope it wasn’t a “Fight home”. Thought you’re too kind for that. :)
Suggested dinner flight: fly to 4R7 (Eunice, LA) get the courtesy car (Expedition) stay at the Holiday Inn Express, go to dinner at Di’s Cajun Restaurant. If you just want a day trip, Di’s serves lunch (call ahead to verify which days) & has a 3000’ well-kept grass strip that’s very wide & smooth. This would be a GREAT trip & make an AWESOME video! Save room for Ms. Sherry’s blueberry bread pudding. Would suggest a Friday or Saturday night to catch a live/local Cajun band performing at Di’s
I really like Allie as your partner! It increases the overall fun aspect, please include her on future videos. Maybe a trip to South Padre Island? Im a big fan here in San Antonio, good luck!
I really enjoyed your video. On a previous video I meant to comment about the fact that you have no shoulder harness system in your plane. Big Red needs that. It's not a cheap addition but really needed for your safety in a crash and your passengers. Keep up the good work !!! I'm a CFII and a 172 owner with lots of hours with shoulder harnesses.
Nice weather and good safe flight to Sugar-land! Great video Kay!
Another awesome flight!
Hi Kay, just watched the Pilot debrief by Hoover. You need to add that to your CV !! Good job. And I did see that emergency video when you first posted it. I had subscribed to your channel just a few weeks before that happened, & had backtracked through the previous videos.
Thanks Kay, that was a fun ride with you girls!
Very nice video and educational. You are so ahead of the plane !
Love watching your videos kay better than anything on the tele you go girls loads of love jimmy from uk ❤
Your positive, energetic attitude is awesome Kay!!! 😃👏
Interesting -- having a passenger does present new in flight concentration points. You were right on top of your flying, GREAT work Kay! Your inflight dialog keeps me on my toes trying to keep up. Even lunch and a missing napkin, didn't keep you from a tower call out. Your a quick learner Alli! Wishing you Safe flying always. I wish I knew the towns better that I could recommend some place to go. Been to Texas a number of times. Flying through Dallas/Fortworth . In Dallas, in Houston, in Katy, In Montgomery, In El Paso, in Lubbock, In Galveston. Last time was almost twenty years ago. Funny thing looking at You Tube all the highways in America now look like Los Angeles. 45 years ago it was sooo different in Texas. Dirt sidewalks and wooden step entrance to restaurants. How "time" Fly's"LOL See you on the next one.......
I would certainly appreciate a flight up to Abilene. I was stationed there from 2005 to 2008, there is at least one Chick-fil-A!! Enjoying the videos!
Love the inflight catering!
What an entertaining pair of Ninety Nines! Thanks for letting us tag along.
If you still want to stay cool in the Piper! You might check into Icy Breeze! It's a portable A/C unit looks like a soda cooler!
Hey Kay. Loved coming along for the ride here in New Zealand. Hoovers video featuring your content and boom…having fun following along. Seriously coudn’t wait an hour for a feed? 😉😅.
Just watched "Pilot Debrief". You are the best. Thanks for all the fun videos. From Sweet Home Alabama.
A good analogy for the difference between an arrival and approach is an arrival is the bus route or train route you take to get to an airport, and an approach is how you go from the bus stop or train station at the airport to your gate.
Kay’s little friend seemed a little bit homesick on the way back. I find I can learn a little about how people interact when watching these kind of videos. The cricket sound effects were cute.
Hi Kay, Great YT shoutout from "Hoover"!!! I'm a student pilot and your videos are always informative, thank you.
Came to your channel from Pilot Debrief. And I live in Sugar Land! I have probably see you in the air landing or taking off! Love your video's!
Hi Kay. Like a lot of your new subscribers, I found you through Pilot Debrief. I'm also a private pilot, and it's great seeing the professional and safe way you fly! You should come to Fredericksburg- Texas wine country- especially now with all the wildflowers in full bloom.
Always fun. It would be good to see yall come into Amarillo Tx. KTDW Tradewinds
Good morning, new subscriber happy Saturday morning I loved your vlogs and you are amazing
Thanks for subbing!
Wow 29 moh. Tail wind hiur time kes ful less emisions glad nuater helping out
Your a pro pilot Kay keep up the great work
This was awesome she looked like she had a blast
Great videos! I find that the best way to explain IAS vs GS is to think of those people mover flat escalators at airports. If you get on the people mover and start walking, you see you are moving at normal walking speed relative to the floor of the people mover (IAS) but faster relative to the terminal (GS). To mix metaphors, you are walking with a "tailwind". If you were to step on a people mover going the wrong way, you will still be walking at normal speed relative to the floor of the mover but moving slower (or backwards) relative to the terminal. You are walking with a "headwind". We will leave TAS until I come up with a decent analogy 🙂
Student lady is asking good questions.
Airborne Jay and Allie; informative, panoramic, cute, hot parlance - banter - and breakfast. Hat meinen Tag erhellt!
Excellent landing Good job.
Hey Flight! I just finished watching the video. I remember one time I was landing in Sedona and a 172 and it was so windy and blustery I like to never get that thing on the ground matter fact, if I had to do it over again today I would never land in those conditions.
I use to fly an archer 11,back in the 1990,s, love your videos.
It's always best..when you fly your friends...they will never forget the experience!!!
GREAT VIDEO!!!
❤ 🐦
Allie is one sharp cookie! Great questions!!
Fun spunky!!
What a flight today. Even an inflight meal on this one. 😉 Wouldn't want too much turbulence with that one. Love watching.
"It just gets up so fast"😂😂😂
Hey gang, it’s so fun listening to you. It reminds me of my early days of flying at Phoenix sky Harbor. I can’t fly now due to a medical issue but I’m thinking very seriously about getting a PC and getting the new Microsoft flight simulator and getting some of the Garmin G 1000 set ups That you can put on your desktop the real instruments. I do have my instrument rating but I’ve never flown an actual instrument flight by myself. I’m a very good BFR pilot, but I would not even consider myself and IFR pilot, even though I officially have a rating.I think it would be fun and challenging for me to fly with the Microsoft flight and learn to fly approaches and do all that instrument stuff and then one day if I do go back to flying. I’ll have everything dialed in. Thanks again I love the videos.
Hi really appreciate your humor you r so great kay
I am an Air Force veteran and I love to fly! I never was a pilot, I was a radio operator. I wish I had gotten my pilots license when I was younger! I would love to fly again before au"m too old❤️
Hey Kay-
Was it a Fight or just a "FLIGHT" home?
Great show, Although I keep my feet on the ground, I enjoy the ride!!!
You teach it her how to fly airplaying. And she catches on pretty good, but all your advice. She would make a good pilot if she takes it up. As if she's interested in flying and on her own plane right now she's taking it all in. And probably thinking about it, but does she have stuff? And she'd want that bad enough to do it if she does it and she does it on your advice. Take your advice, you be confessional, and what a teacher you're❤
