Ariel - you brought the "sunshine" when you popped up in an episode, which is saying something considering how miserable the actual weather often was. You've given us a lot. I hope you have good people around you giving you what you need. You do your parents proud.

I felt and fully related to Ariel's grief and words here. My pilot dad passed away unexpectedly 15 years ago, and I can say for sure - she is on the right path - he is with her and yes that bond and relationship is growing all the while. The mold remaining is free... fully realizing who you are. Ariel you are doing all the right things - and as my dad always said - "this too shall pass." - and "make small corrections". Great and inspiring interview well done!

Ariel . . . it was fun to see/hear all the updates from u on this recent interview. Your bubbly personality is a force of nature! I do recall your dad in one of the tv episodes (in his typical soft-spoken way) describing u as the "one who would be organizing and leading the parade." Still holds true - - good luck to u and your family, and take care!

Every year I would have a fishing trip to Alaska and the memories will be with me forever. Flying wild Alaska was not to be missed.
We used to fly into Quinhagak from Bethel with them. It was a long series of flights from UK and the last flight was always the best in that Caravan. The most memorable was to be flown out with a pilot called Arthur( can't remember his surname). I had seen him on the show as a trainee loading freight. And here he was qualified. He had some connection with Duncan and Sons who were our guides.
The return flight was really memorable. Going back downriver we ran into dense fog and we had to wait over 5 hours for it to clear. We could hear Arthur above us in the lifting fog. Then suddenly he appeared about 60 ft up to land on the road and rescue us.
Our flight from Bethel had long gone. The layover in Bethel was another memory.

Ariel, I am an 85 year old who logged a few solo hours in a 140 while a high school student but then life happened and while I am still an aviation nut I never got the license. It will soon be three years since I lost my wife and best friend of 59 years and I still get choked up when talking about her and sometimes break down to my great embarrassment. Sharing your grief journey as you have really helped me to accept that I am not alone and that almost everyone has had to struggle with loss. Your take on the afterlife was refreshing and mind opening as well as comforting. You are so candid and up front about your feelings that I would bestow upon you my greatest compliment, "What you see is what you get." , no posturing, deceit or gaming but an exuberant, joyful person who is good to her very core. And why not, you were raised with the best role models imaginable.

Watched the series in Australia and admired the airmanship in conditions totally unlike here but clearly just as treacherous only in different ways to flying in New Guinea with similar terrain,no roads and weather changeability.
Watching Ariel learning to fly and all the dramas was gripping even if understated in terms of the risks, seeing her grow up along the way felt a bit like family, and so sad to hear of the loss of her dad.

Flying Wild Alaska was my favorite show. What impressed me was the Tweto family work ethics. If a job needed to be completed, no one ran from the job. The father Jim was a terrific pilot and teacher. He would many times throw a flying rule out there and a couple days later flying in a Cessna I'd get it. I still remember those rules today.

Both Ariel and that show were special. Now everyone can Fly Wild Alaska. With human eyesight quality 3D-VR (Pimax) and the application of AI to MSFS we all can own the whole world. In November the new MSFS2024 will contain the entire planet in 3D right down to rocks on the ground. MSFS chief Jorg Neumann says every bush trip will be ultra-realistic in 3D. Rocks, bushes, trees, twigs, weeds, flowers, animals., birds, water, everything.. I've visited Sue Aiken's place in MSFS VR, and it is really fun to land on that gravel strip. Now in the new highly and AI enhanced version it is going to knock people's socks off. They are even going to "TIN" elevation data which allows for tessellated ground shapes. All 3D bladed grass and weeds is a game changer. They are recreating the world's biomes and even row crops will all be 3D. Every helicopter pad in the world will be included and over 500.000 new tall elevated objects. Over 810 people in 31 different countries are now working on it. It is a BILLION dollar project. MS is not going to let the other FS competitors do what they did to them in 2020. AI and cloud delivery are here and they are not going away. They have 15+ million users, over a billion flights, and 75,000+ third party add-ons since 2020. You guys helped start it all. Pre-made bush flight plans are one of the most popular activities. And they have wheels, snow ski, and water ski landing options for most small airplanes. Snow can be added at will.
