Another excellent video my friend.. I just bought another brand new da it's called the griots G9 polisher. 1000 watts of power! I think it's going to be excellent for correction work.
Hi Mohd Rafie! That’s just the power rating for the polisher as it is subjected to different country’s regulation. For example USA and Japan are 100-120V spec and Malaysia is 220-230V spec. different countries each has their own requirements. It doesn’t affect to performance of the machine in any bit. Like left hand drive and right hand drive lol
Hi Furqan Hasmi, I've tried a unit like that before but not Katsu brand. Build looks the same. However, that unit I tried has the same power spec as Kastu, 600W. I find that a bit under powered actually. I would say it's good enough for paint cleaning and waxing but for paint correction, it took me some time. Another tip in getting a DA or any other tool. Get it from a company that knows detailing. ;)
HI Hafiz, in theory, you may. However, when it comes to designing of polishing pads, usually rotary would have thicker pads while dual action currently, is in trend for low profiles pads. thicker pads usually mean more cushioning and reduce the cut to get desirable polishing results on paints. low profile = more direct transfer of motion to paint. Using da pads on rotary might result in a higher cut in that sense (if using low profile types), personally, we wouldn't recommend it. Best to consult with your supplier.
Hi +Moshe dayan Vivas, for Singapore the nearest would be our Johor dealer. You may contact him via these contact number: +607-5540 479 / +6016-7829 688 (Sunny). Thanks.
+Ctyler93 Basically I would wash and spin dry my pads after every one or two panels. But if that's not an option, I would suggest around 5 pads of each grade per mid size car. For waxing, just 1 or 2 pads will do.
Hi Liong Fie Hiap! The DA used in this video is an 8mm orbital diameter DA. We have discontinued that model and it’s replaced by Hurricane 1 which was then superseded by hurricane 2.0 😁

Great video. Thank you
This video shows great Skills to use dual polisher correctly.
But does the working power of Dual polisher affect back plate spin ?
Yes, it does affect. The throw of the orbit affects the spinning too.
So you won't get more cut if you use pressure with a compound but the backing plate is still spinning?
Love this video. Thanks man.

How many pads do you typically use for a mid sized car? Including cutting polishing and finishing?

Great video...for the da machine used in the video, what size is the MM orbital?
