I have been detailing for many years and I've used every machine from the flex 3401 to the shinemate 15 mm long throw. Your teaching technique is good and thorough.
Excellent video, I just got my first DA this week (its almost the same model but sold by a local supplier here in England) and got good results with it ,its reassuring to see on your video that I am doing the right things setting it up...
for those that is watching this vid. thx for the good basic tips osren. lots of hard work and man hour to get a good polish. remember it's really cost more than you think don go for the cheap 50-80 butts polish. that's more like a wax on wax off karate kid. make sure there is a minimum 3 coats of sealer on the job.
Great video! I have that same polisher and the instruction manual sucks! The instructions to get the backing plate on are way off. This cleared things up and I was able to get to work! Thanks.
Specialized 29er if not know yet, it’s the orbital size, eg 12mm orbital, 15 & 21. The 21mm is also called the long throw as its orbits 21mm in diameter when it rotates
Hello Henry Have you tried the Flex XC3401VRG forced rotation da. The Flex 3401 offers some serious correction in the da form factor. I have the Flex PE14-2 rotary. I have a Festool Shinex RAP-150 rotary coming too.
***** Hello Henry: For the da lineup currently running the rupes lhr21es,lhr15e,lhr75e,duetto, 2 griots garage 6 inch da's, Flex 3401 and then the Flex PE14-2 rotary.
***** Hello Henry: I am not sure the brand name of that blue colored da that you are using in this video. I believe that it is made by the same company in China that makes the Griots garage 6" da except it is rated for U.S. 110V not 220/240V that I believe yours is rated for. Great da just very loud. I have begun to wear hearing protection when I use it to prevent future hearing lose.

Hi there! There should be a little vibration for all DA but it shouldn't be uncomfortable. If it vibrate too much, I could be due to improper backing plate or pad size. Each DA has an optimum backing plate and pad size. Best is to check that with your supplier or machine manufacturer.
Hi +Himawan Wite ,frankly speaking speaking I've not used that myself before but from the looks of its and specs, I would say it's a pretty decent DA. Try and look for a supplier that allows you to test out the DA before buying.
Hi Liong Fie Hiap, there are quite a number of different DAs in the market. Force DA, Long Stroke free spining DA, DA and Random Orbital Sander. In our opinion, a rotary plus long stoke DA and maybe some mini DAs on smaller areas, will get all the job done. Also, with the right compound and pad combo, you can get superb results with long stroke free spinning DAs. Here are some video links to what our DA can offer ruclips.net/video/cChJ1T6wrOY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/AgsAkCDvD28/видео.html We have also developed new product that enables one to level orange peel with our long stroke, free spinning, DA. Do you have to worry about edges? Is there anywhere to do damage if try it yourself as a beginner? Should I bother getting mine done to try to fix scratches getting it detailed? ruclips.net/video/8mpLcWfwN_w/видео.html. it will probably fix the scratches but will the swirls come back if I wash my car through a touchless car wash? The local person gave an estimate of 200$ for a 1 step correction. How hard is it to do it yourself for someone with zero experience? I mean for the price it would cost me that much to buy everything myself.
I like the fact that you teach how to detail and not try to sell me a DA or polish! great video!

When buying a polisher what does the manufacturer mean by 12mm, 15mm or 21mm.
