Outfuckingstanding!
EPIC!
I follow you since day 1! I'm an engineer that chosen polishing for living because I love it. I can tell you guys are not the best, you are the ONLY ONE source of good and technical information!
Keep up the BEST WORK in the world! Thank you so much!
Greetings from Brazil.
Thank you! Really appreciate the kind words.
As always, Osren are very professional and present the issue so well.
Thank you so much!
You just answered a question I've had for a long time. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
Im fairly new to polishing, less than 1 year, from my experience, da's stahl when working on curved areas, you must use higher speeds to deal with it. I like rotaries more, such a versatile and easy to use machine once you get the hang of it, you can cut, finish, change backing plates for smaller areas. You dont even need a expensive tool to get amazing results, mine was 60 bucks and i love it. Only drawback is that is has a very short cable. Low speed machine and low speed movement on the panel gets you the best results. Every now and then, clean your pads, watch for their temperature and try not to work in the sun.
What an excellent video explaining a polishing myth! I am a weekend warrior and always thought that I must maximize spinning the pad or it would not be cutting. Huge mistake! And of course the cuttings I performed were not efficient, and I wondered if the pads I used are not coarse enough. I'll try to apply more pressure to the polisher next time and not to concern too much about pad spinning. Thank you for the video!
Hey, both combination and technique plays a role. But we often advise to look into combination first.
Dual action means they you have both the oscillation and spin working together, when it stalls the oscillation keeps putting in the work. I prefer the DA over the rotary for this and many other reasons...Great content team Osren!
Yes, spot on!
Team Osren, if I may ask, is it OK to buy a cordless DA polisher or one with power cord? If it's cordless, will I be able to complete polishing an entire car at one go or am I required to get an extra backup battery pack in case I do run out of juice? Kindly advise. Thanks in advance!🙏
@@healzone2272 Hey, best to check with the manufacturer for battery capacity and estimated usage. I believe most battery operated polisher are not capable of finishing entire car.
sometimes you might require multiple steps to finish down too, got to put that into consideration too

This is a good informational vid. Tq Fishbonez Kenneth.
You're welcome Yasir :)
Fantastic video, GJ!.
Excellent well done video!!! 👍🏼🇨🇦
Amazing! always had second thoughts on this during polishing! Thanks for clearing this doubt!
Our pleasure!
Thank you so much!
Nice! Always wondered because i like to put pressure especially on heavy scratched paint
You and me both. Just be cautious with heavier polishing combinations (pad+compound), it's still possible to strikethrough paint on edges with a DA.
Good video! Cool idea
Great video and great experiment.

Brillant video thank you 🙏😊👍
What a great video, well done.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for this video, this helps clearing the question for me. Full on surface contact is the way to go! 😤 I always thought “it’s a dual rotation right, if it doesn’t spin, wouldn’t there be no movement at all? Like complete halt but theres still rotation going on” But since i was taught to care for the rotation instead of contact, I just let it be but now you’ve cleared things out for me. Thank you Osren!
You're so welcome, we're glad this video was helpful!
Damn what a great video. I didn't know that!
Mitt breaker 😃👍 Nice, informative video!
Glad you enjoyed it
What about a forced rotation DA polisher like the Makita with "graduated" levels of force. Can you compare it to rotary and free spining DA's?
Great question! Since forced rotation/gear action DAs have two primary movements, how would different levels of pressure affect polishing action? You have aroused my curiosity, and we hope to be able to explore this as well in the near future.

Can I polish my black matte car
Not recommended, polishing matte surface will make them shiny 😊
