I recently started buying niche these are the ones I chose in order 1. M.micallef gold nectar 2. Maison francis kurkdjian baccarat rouge 540 3. Giorgio Armani pivoine Suzhou 4. Killian love don’t be shy 5. Next will be one of the delinas 😉
Hi Yana! I just love how much your videos have been helping me on my fragrance journey! I started buying designer fragrances last year when I heard about Bottega Veneta perfumes, and my collection has grown sooo quickly I just got hooked I guess. lol Most of the bottles I own now are scents that I discovered with your reviews. I'm so excited about the timing of this video post too, because I just started to dabble with Byredo perfume samples this week. I just got a bottle of Mojave Ghost delivered today! Yay! I also can't wait to try out Bal D'afrique. Anyways, your lipstick looks gorgeous! Keep up the great content 👏 💓
Thank you for all the support! 🥰 I'm so glad that my reviews have been a help to you!! Mojave Ghost is fantastic as well! ❤️ I think you will love bal D'afrique too 😊
Delina by Parfums de Marly is also a great classic niche fragrance that most people love! I loved it from the first sniff. It never gets old to me & has incredible longevity, sillage & performance! Great for all seasons & for me personally, an awesome signature scent. 👌 The only negative is the price tag! Love the 💄💋 ... looks beautiful!
I also have that lipstick and I love it too! Apparently all the lipsticks in that "For me" line are supposed to suit every skin tone! It certainly suits yours 😉
One thing I wish I had known before trying different fragrances was what Oak Moss (Dior Gris, Ylang Gold M. Micallef) including the synthetic version smells like. Its not something you can guess like patchouli readily available as an essential oil so its hard to know ahead of time. I ended up hating a lot of niche popular perfumes without knowing why until I found out it was the Oak Moss. There's also a note in BR540 and its cheaper cousin Ariana Grande Cloud that's a hate but reading the notes, I can't detect what it is, maybe its an accord instead of a note.
New subscriber here. I was so happy to find your "Starter Pack" videos since I am new to fragrance and find them so helpful. I bought Mon Guerlain from your last recommendations and find your style so easy to understand. I love the visual pictures that you draw as well. And that lipstick? Perfect for you!
Love br540, but the price is crazy. I just got decants to try that out. Not a fan of JHAG Not a fragrance, but loving vanilla vibe by them. Debating on pear inc by them too. I love maison margelia jazz club, by the fireplace. Haven’t tried that jo Malone but love orange bitters. I would also suggest Hindu Kush from mancera! It is heaven. Philosykos from Diptyque!! Love that one.
I would substitute Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac & Marigold for the Wood Sage and Sea Salt. It's a real performer, stunning if you like jasmine. It lasts on my skin and I can truly smell it unlike wsss which is ghosty.
Byredo is a beautiful brand and Baccara is the embodiment of a modern chic! In fact, I am eyeing Baccara as my next purchase. As for my recommendations, I am currently in love with the houses of Les Parfums de Rosine, The Merchant of Venice and Eutopie. Have you tried anything from them? Elogue Du Vert, Mystic Incense and No 11 (Lilac) are to die for. 'Very safe blind buys in my opinion, especially for someone who is getting into niche - both man and woman. There is something so modern, dreamy and tasty about them, but NOT in the gourmand way. Rather clean and happy way.
Hey Yana, very informative video for us beginners! I agree on what you said about Juliette Has a Gun fragrance. I ve ordered a sample, I applied it once and I thought to myself:too much fuss for what? I ❤ Intense Cafe, the more I wear it, the more I love it. Thanks for sharing! Btw you look stunning with this 💄lipstick on! Your smile, irresistible!
Off Topic: I have the same exact red💄! I bought it because it’s said to be a good dupe of Dior’s 999, a neutral red fit for most skin tones. I also got it for Halloween because I was going for a vampiric look. 🧛🏼♀️
Unpopular opinion but I don’t like Ylang in Gold, I find it too cloying, kind of made me nauseous and felt like other people found it strange on me too. To me, Alexander J Zafeer Oud Vanille is a better version of it. It still has that ylang & vanilla but the little bit of Oud & musk make it much more wearable and less cloying. Still delicious though!
Hello Yana! New subbie here. Been binge watching many of your older videos. Did you mention in another video about Malone's WS&SS that the fragrance oil from The Fragrance Shop in the states was one of your favorites? I ordered a sample and it's soooo close to the original but oil's longevity is impressive vs the original's. And you look just lovely, you gorgeous girl. Greetings from Florida 😎
I have a few mancera frags : holidays, velvet vanilla, roses vanille, coco vanille...I have vanilla absolute by montale and van cleef and arpels orchidee vanille!
Hi Jana! Great video 👍 the 💄💋 is perfect for you and looking very classy. You are the perfect Winter Type, so that kind of clean, deep reds are made for you! Bests! 🤗 Jo
Frederic Malle’s Perfum de Therese and Lipstick Rose, Le Labo’s The Noir 29, Perfum de Marly’s Delina, Guerlain’s Cuir Beluga, Initio Parfum’s Atomic Rose.. But of course I couldn’t suggest them as a starter kit - it’s a very tricky topic.
I LOVE Jo Malone fragrances, but yes, they are waaay overpriced if you consider their very bad longevity. As to Baccarat Rouge, I am still trying to understand it, hahaha... it's definitely an acquired taste.
I like your picks Yana! Very important to familiarize yourself with that BR540 vibe early on. So you can pick out all the posers. 😂 Might throw in one or two Parfums de Nicolai myself, an Acqua di Parma and maybe something from Tauer. Always nice to have at least one that challenges the senses. Kick those neurons into firing. Ps, that contrasting red with the black is so damn chic. ❤️🖤
An Excellent Niche starter pack suggestion. YES, that colour of lipstick really works. and you are glowing. You look younger in this video. I mean you usually have a 22 or 23 yo vibe and look but today I would ask for your I.D if I worked in a Bar.
Your video is very helpful, but for the starter, I’d rather buy dupes instead of so called “niche” fragrances and save money for a few bottles of the few real niche fragrances - those forms of art which cannot be easily reproduced, and even often improved by small companies inspired by overpriced perfumes. You look lovely wearing your new lipstick.💋
As you like Wood Sage and Sea Salt...have you tried Heeley Sel Marin? Or Heeley Note de Yuzu? #recommend Gris Dior is amazing but you know I know you know that.
Do ppl like Bacarra Rouge 540 in first sniff or the nose needa get use to it? I have one travel size of it and I still can’t like it. I hope I can like it one day. ☺️
It does take time for some people and it can take a few wearings to figure it out, but if you don't like it that's okay! That will help guide you along in your fragrance journey 😊 it's important to know your own tastes
I think Byredo was a niche but now they have makeup and bags so not much niche anymore just another house. What do you think? If you still consider it niche then what is niche?
From my experience, NOTHING is a safe blind. Also, I couldn't care less for Bal D'afrique (I like their Bibliotheque and The Rose of No Man's Land) and despise JHG Not a Perfume. Thank you for the video though =))
I honestly don´t think that Ylang in Gold is a safe blind buy. I totally dislike it although I love Vanilla scents. It smells very soapy on my skin :( .
If you want to be sure you love the fragrance do not buy it right away or even after an hour. Ask for sampler. Test it for three days. Then stop. Then test it again for few days. Your body chemistry makes the fragrance smell slightly different each time. If you still love it then buy it.
Wood Sage and Sea Salt is stunning but it’s actually a crime how they charge so much for such crappy longevity.
Yes, agreed!! That's why I go for the oil 😊
@@TheScented how long does the oil last ? And does it have any silage? I've never tried oils ☺️
That red lipstick is really lovely on you!
Thank you! ❤️
I recently started buying niche these are the ones I chose in order
1. M.micallef gold nectar
2. Maison francis kurkdjian baccarat rouge 540
3. Giorgio Armani pivoine Suzhou
4. Killian love don’t be shy
5. Next will be one of the delinas 😉
Solid starter choices for Niche fragrances!
The Not A Perfume smells like when you're ironing freshly laundered cotton or crisp shirts. Quite intriguing
Love your videos so much😊I have Wood Sage&Sea Salt, Ylang in Gold and Baccarat❤️ Thinking about getting Bal D'Afrique soon!
That lipstick looks amazing on you btw! I was admiring your look before you mentioned the lipstick
I bought coffee break because of you, and omg it's so good!! I can't stop wearing it
Yay! I'm so glad you're loving it 😊
😏💁🏽♀️That’s EXACTLY how I feel about Dior private collection! It’s NICHE…..AND SO IS THAT PRICE TAG!👀
Hi Yana!

You're right, Delina is a great one too!
My signature scent also :) smells so heavenly
I love red lipstick on you. Your eyes, your hair, everything is so beautiful! And I obviously appreciate your fragrance knowledge.
Thank you so much! ❤️
I also have that lipstick and I love it too! Apparently all the lipsticks in that "For me" line are supposed to suit every skin tone! It certainly suits yours 😉
You've got me pegged, I've just been dipping my toe into the water on niche. Thanks for the suggestions!
I got into niche after getting Wood Sage and Sea Salt as a present
One thing I wish I had known before trying different fragrances was what Oak Moss (Dior Gris, Ylang Gold M. Micallef) including the synthetic version smells like. Hit it out the park with these selections . Byredo,Micallef,Jo &MFK all great & then pair the Dior🤯lol. Great vid
Always nice to start the day with Yana
Like the lipstick and the earrings. I want to try the Byredo based on your review.
I subscribed because of your basic scents video lol. Loving your videos!
Such good choices Yana! Ugh, all the ones I still don't have but suspect are at least must-sniffs. And your lipstick is FAB! 😍
Thank you🥰🥰🥰
You are now my go getter info for Scents ... Detailed n Well informed 👏

Ylang in Gold and Hanae Mori are super-similar! And HM is way less $$$, so good idea to test both!
I have Hanae Mori as well, I will be doing a bougie vs. Budget video on them soon (comparing to Ylang in Gold)
Wow I love the neutral/natural eyes and bold warm red lip!!
Thank you! ❤️
“exercise your nose holes”-Yana
Workout regime I can buy into.
😅
I would substitute Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac & Marigold for the Wood Sage and Sea Salt. It's a real performer, stunning if you like jasmine. It lasts on my skin and I can truly smell it unlike wsss which is ghosty.
Jasmine sambac & marigold is nice, but then there would be no true freshie in this list 😉

I’m waiting for my bottle of Bal D’Afrique to arrive!! Hopefully I don’t hate it LOL. The red lipstick is 🔥
Bal D'Afrique is such a great scent😍👍. Love it. And I really like your videos 😊

Yes The Fragrance Shop is still my fave oil version! Oil Perfumery comes 2nd but it isn't 100% identical
@@TheScented Thanks! :+)

Do try Diorissima Privee collection from Dior, and Wild Bluebell and English Pear & Freesia from Jo Malone
Great recommendations! Matte lip color is great too

Nice 😊 Delina could work as an intro to Niche as well
MFK BR540 just didn't do it for me. Truly puzzled by its popularity.
But I am intrigued by Coffee Break, I'll have to try it!
Coffee Break is a stunner 😊
I am soon getting ylang in gold😍👏
I LOVE Jo Malone fragrances, but yes, they are waaay overpriced if you consider their very bad longevity. As to Baccarat Rouge, I am still trying to understand it, hahaha... it's definitely an acquired taste.
Great choices! I did a massive declutter recently and still own all of these except for the BR540 extrait! 😱 I’m a safe person then. 😆
The lipstick looks glam on you !
Thank you! 🥰
Hello Yana ! Thank you for another great video ! You look Femme Fatal 🌹🥰
Thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍👌
I like the scent of wood sage and sea salt but it reminds me too much of my car dealership 🤣
🤣 That must be an awesome car dealership! Lol I'd shop there
@@TheScented BMW ❤️😃
Haha of course! 😆
Hi can you please link the oil version of wood sage and sea salt? Thank you!!

It's my favorite too. Tell U Smells Good Bal dafrique is better than Hermes Vetiver Tonka

How many hours does Baccarat last?Is it worth buying.

Please try to check out the Habibi NY fragrances, I absolutely love them and I think you will adore some of their unisex fragrances
It is a lovely colour
fabulous video
As you like Wood Sage and Sea Salt...have you tried Heeley Sel Marin? Or Heeley Note de Yuzu? #recommend
Gris Dior is amazing but you know I know you know that.
I'll definitely check out those Heeleys! Sel Marin has been on my radar for a while - I need to sample it!
@@TheScented They have samples @Etiket, I just got it last week👍

You said Gris Dior and then forgot to review it. Just got a sampler now and looking for opinions. Ooops!
Apologies. I did also speak about it in my rainy day fragrances video as well as a few others. That one I do remember specifically though

JHAG Not a Perfume gives me a massive headache. I wish I could have worn it.
Could you tell me what paint color your walls are? I love the blue grey color.
I'm not sure, sorry! We bought it this way
Your look 🥰 you are fantastic
Thank you! 🥰
I think Byredo was a niche but now they have makeup and bags so not much niche anymore just another house. What do you think? If you still consider it niche then what is niche?
I still consider them niche, and I group designer private collections under niche as well, due to the complexity and quality of scent
Where do you find the wood sage & sea salt oil? Thanks!
My favorite one is from The Fragrance Shop, close runner up is from Generic Perfumes
I really like how classy yet down to earth u are yana, I aspire to be like u one day
Thank you so much 🥰
What is the oil dupe for Wood Sage & SS?
It's from The Fragrance Shop
How doe Ylang in Gold compare to Chanel Gabriel?
They're not really similar at all, Ylang in Gold is almost a gourmand with the way that it smells sweet and custardy
You have the best hairline i've ever seen. a Hair routine please? ♥ ^^' ♥

I hate ylang in gold it smells like acetone
That's interesting, perhaps you are anosmic to it 🤔
I honestly don´t think that Ylang in Gold is a safe blind buy. I totally dislike it although I love Vanilla scents. It smells very soapy on my skin :( .
Where is young expert ?
How about mancera or montale?
I would not really say they are intro
Yes, I was grappling with either intense cafe or coffee break. Intense Cafe is quite safe too
Juliette has a gun - Not a parfume is great basic

Gris Dior is not niche. It's high end designer.
