As an England fan supporting England, France, Ireland and Wales this weekend, I can only agree 😂 Ireland vs. New Zealand, there were 19 Kiwis on the pitch! 😂 England have Vunipolas and a Tuilagi. Happy to have them but it seems a bit unfair.
I think it won’t be as one-sided as you think it will. Englands defence up front is pretty solid and they have a lot of jackaling threats. I expect them to eventually get worn down and lose by around 10-12 points but it won’t be a walkover. However If they can hold the scrum and secure high balls, it might be a tasty game
O Keefe gave the worst referee’s performance next to Ireland v all blacks , South Africa and the all blacks are constantly going offside once you get a break on them , how the hell did he miss that intentional knock on at the 5 meter line by Etzebeth when France were 7-0 up , that was a penalty try and a yellow , the refs always give South Africa and New Zealand bogus calls, it’s the same every World Cup , I’m 40 years old watching it from New York , the World Cup referee’s secede the winners not the players, and no one talks about it , it’s a joke!!
The way when he missed the direct head contact to PSdT? From distance, with force, no attempt to lower tackle height, forced player off the field for an HIA. Yeah, he missed a lot.
I was initially hard on Paul Willemse, calling him a sell out. When in fact with the incredible amount of debth we're currently experiencing in SA, it must be extremely hard to make the team, hence these players go look elsewhere to be able to make a career from rugby, such a shame in a way that they're forced to do so.
3 kiwis in the Irish team, and 2 Japanese in the Japanese team, Australia, England, NZ it is allegiance by the dollar, but they are all professional rugby players chasing the dream and so they should, every rugby player dreams of playing on the big stage and if you can't play for your country of birth you should follow the rugby dream and play for someone who wants you and your skill set
Ref did NOT miss it. You can clearly hear him say “backwards”, which was also clearly evident on all the replays. Also, Nigel Owens has explained that it was perfectly legal.
3 plays defined this game for the Boks & the mindset they had. #1 was Etzebeth lunging at the ball to save us from a 2nd try from France. #2 was Kolbe chasing down the kick. #3 although at the end but it’s when in the final minute Faf literally gave the ball back to France showed the Boks trust their defence more than their offence.
Great from both teams. I think france were a little too frantic at the end though. Needed 3 not 7. Maybe a more controlled approach to play for a penalty.
Yes I was a bit hard on him, calling him a sell out, but u perfectly right, it's incredibly hard to make the team with the amount of debth we have in our rugby atm.
@@teenchywell you know how to sort that out? Just win your bloody games! Nothing better than proving a conspiracy theory wrong by stuffing up the predictions. So if Ireland & France had made it through everything would have been okay?
Just bled too many points in this game France. The writing was on the wall against New Zealand, I'm so surprised nobody made the point when that game took place but I guess it was lost in the washup because Les Bleus won the game. Winning high stakes rugby is about scoring tries and keeping your opponent to just one or two.
The interviewer spent the entire interview (well almost ) chatting to the losers. Which is a strange approach. He pretty much glossed over South Africa altogether.
this shouldn't be a quarter i agree, how did world cup officials select the pools I wonder, was there no seeding process? cause it's been really imbalanced. they really need to be more consistent with referees too. And frankly putting most videos behind a paywall, including highlights is pretty disgraceful.
Very sad for France, they were just as deserving of the win as the Boks. I think the score reflects this. Would like to see the refereeing review though, I felt there were a few decisions left on the field for both teams. A heartfelt congratulations to France for a fantastic RWC, 2027 will be their year.
AS A Bok supporter I fully agree that it could have gone either way. The French were brilliant and must be gutted. The crowd booing for every ref descision against tye French team and every Springbok try and shot at posts was however appalling and an embarrassment to rugby.
It's almost as if people willfully just choose to ignore that fact. Somehow they choose to blissfully ignore that the Boks and All Blacks have more world cups than the rest of the WORLD combined and the get so caught up in temporary form of their team forgetting the permanent class of who they are playing against.

"Some controversial decisions" sure just some but at the best time like one example the Etzebeth forward at 5m of the SA line changed the entire game already, no penalty, no yellow card everything is fine already. This game was a pity to watch from start to end in regard of the ref performance, it never gonna push the world rugby forward with this kind of performance. Gutted. Nothing about the refereeing Jim? Etzebeth's forward in the 7th minute which would have given the lead to France by 14 points and the big guy sent off, just like Aaron Smith the night before? Kolbee's race before Ramos takes a step. Krieg's elbow contacts? All the permissive refereeing around the scrums? Even Dupont who never complains, had a word with O'Keefe! And that is rare! 68th minute, Smith clearly is hands down bringing back the ball and the big guys never stopped doing it. I guess the safas were right about the biased refereeing but I struggle to see how they got ill-treated and where the victimizing comes from the beginning of the tournament.
Rugby needs to sort out the way world cup draws are made, doing so three years in advance is ridiculous. Now we have two pathetic looking semi finals. This tournament bar the quarter finals has been a complete non event, so baring the final between SA and NZ that'll be the only competitive rugby. There already aren't enough nations competitive enough at rugby to capture the wider public.

@@msbravewyn The Black Ferns beat England in the RWC Final and capitalize when they were a player down to do so. As an England fan supporting England, France, Ireland and Wales this weekend, I can only agree 😂
Ireland vs. New Zealand, there were 19 Kiwis on the pitch! 😂
England have Vunipolas and a Tuilagi. Happy to have them but it seems a bit unfair.
@@Funkybassuk It's only Argentina and South Africa that are the only "pure" teams left in the comp no?
@@morris9337 yeah but how many world cups have there been where 2 six nation teams had such a good chance of winning it. The level has gone up
France had only one foreign born on the pitch.
As England fan got no hope next week. Only victory England can claim is they heavily outnumber the Boks in the crowd.
A red card?
@@ntlearningcan't afford it. We've used all the dough up paying off officials up to now.😂
I think it won’t be as one-sided as you think it will. Englands defence up front is pretty solid and they have a lot of jackaling threats. I expect them to eventually get worn down and lose by around 10-12 points but it won’t be a walkover. However If they can hold the scrum and secure high balls, it might be a tasty game
it'll be a win if they play without embarrassing themselves & the fans too much :/

Enjoy your quarter-final(s). And maybe start using Irish players instead of imports.
That dude in the middle…is as French as a bottle of German Gewürztraminer…🙄
Malbaka was MOM...Went into the game thinking Boks were packing their bags home until that scrum...Crazy stuff.!
No wonder Paul is smiling ear to ear. In his mind he's probably saying, "YES, well done boys, I'm going back home"😂
Paul from Pretoria?
Fans shouting 'Beast" andTendai Mtawarira giving a small broad smile for a second there : )))) So cool!
Ref misses 2 defining moments: Eben's slap down of Antoine Dupont's pass 😞or Kwagga Smith totally unbalanced last turnover! Really? At this level?
Ref did NOT miss it. You can clearly hear him say “backwards”, which was also clearly evident on all the replays. Also, Nigel Owens has explained that it was perfectly legal.
The Boks didn't boss contact like they usually do but they still won
@@justinafrika7860agreed. Any intercept attempt that goes backwards is play on ,if it had knocked forward it would ve been a penalty
No different to tapping it backwards from a line-out throw
3 plays defined this game for the Boks & the mindset they had. #1 was Etzebeth lunging at the ball to save us from a 2nd try from France. #2 was Kolbe chasing down the kick. #3 although at the end but it’s when in the final minute Faf literally gave the ball back to France showed the Boks trust their defence more than their offence.
Kolbe was way offside !! In what world ! Seriously ! And no video of it ! A joke

Amazing advert for Rugby, Incredible match from both.
Great from both teams. I think france were a little too frantic at the end though. Needed 3 not 7. Maybe a more controlled approach to play for a penalty.
Or just a simple kick into the 22, chase, ruck and drop goal.
Cheslin Kolbe, that man!!!!👏👏well done boys. 🇿🇦
The fact that Paul Willemse doesnt play SA lock just goes to show how tough it is to get into the squad. The depth we currently have is insane.
Yes I was a bit hard on him, calling him a sell out, but u perfectly right, it's incredibly hard to make the team with the amount of debth we have in our rugby atm.
Hey - who knows? If the French don't pick him going forward, he could pull a Kleyn and play for the Boks in 2027...
Given Eben, Lood and Franco are in their 30s, won’t we be hurting for quality locks next WC? Do we have good second row prospects?
Thank you World rugby for having allowed France to organize the Commonwealth games

Just bled too many points in this game France. The writing was on the wall against New Zealand, I'm so surprised nobody made the point when that game took place but I guess it was lost in the washup because Les Bleus won the game. Winning high stakes rugby is about scoring tries and keeping your opponent to just one or two.
Honestly I have been wishing this match was a semi -final ,including the Ireland vs All Blacks match😭😫
Paul did a good job hiding his joy for South Africa lol
The "frenchman" wasn't too upset to see SA through.

Cheslyn Man of the Match ! 💚💛💚🇿🇦
The interviewer spent the entire interview (well almost ) chatting to the losers. Which is a strange approach. He pretty much glossed over South Africa altogether.
Thank you Bokkie. Order is restored.
Legendary French team!
Legendary? maybe ... but doomed to remain a second-rate team.
WR ensures this.
this shouldn't be a quarter i agree, how did world cup officials select the pools I wonder, was there no seeding process? cause it's been really imbalanced. they really need to be more consistent with referees too. And frankly putting most videos behind a paywall, including highlights is pretty disgraceful.

Very sad for France, they were just as deserving of the win as the Boks. I think the score reflects this.
Would like to see the refereeing review though, I felt there were a few decisions left on the field for both teams.

AS A Bok supporter I fully agree that it could have gone either way. The French were brilliant and must be gutted. The crowd booing for every ref descision against tye French team and every Springbok try and shot at posts was however appalling and an embarrassment to rugby.
@tonysa2337 The French crowd are very passionate I love going to the games. O'Keefe did not have a good game, although it did flow very well.
Big Paul was a huge loss for the French, fantastic match, both teams were magnificent

Don't get caught up in world rankings and doubt the 2 teams with 6 world cup wins between them and it will hurt less. You don't expect to win.
Well said mate South is the best either way I'm happy who ever wins the final 🇿🇦🇦🇨
It's almost as if people willfully just choose to ignore that fact. I followed rugby very loosely my whole life, now I am quite keen to understand the sport, Is it plausible that Argentina can break tradition and be the 6 different team in world cup final, I am fully aware that Bew zealand are historically one of best nations, after the 3rd world cup final, no new team has been competing, to me that is cycle that will naturally break sooner rather than later, Argentina always seem fearless if I remember, I can see The springboks smothering England, livibg in england, my peers in sports seem to get complacent in this exact kind of situation, I think the african passion and streetwise smarts will embarrass my countrymen. I think it South africa to win again I hear the zealand aura is fading. ❤

What about everytime facing shameful ref performance at this level of the world cup ? As Galthié & Dupont said this ref was def not at the level of the game, not at all. "Some controversial decisions" sure just some but at the best time like one example the Etzebeth forward at 5m of the SA line changed the entire game already, no penalty, no yellow card everything is fine already.
Frenchman sounds like he’s from four ways.
France played so well! Go Bokke! Legendary performance!
Legendary O'Keeffe's performance no doubt
I wonder if there's someone in the French team that can help Willemse with his English.

I don't feel anything for the Irish or French. They respectively played for 20mins and 10mins against 14. Still couldn't win. Stop this nonsense of they don't deserve to lose. On that alone they do!
And I see comments saying the Boks won because of the ref ... immature sore losers .. but hey if someone can convince me otherwise I’m all ears.. my eyes saw a ref that favoured the French on the night.. but all in all did well in an extremely tense match
@@msbravewyn The Black Ferns beat England in the RWC Final and capitalize when they were a player down to do so.

The Boks gave the ABs their biggest hiding by capitalizing when they were a player down to so.
That's why they can't complain about what ifs, the game was in their hands but fail to capitalize when the opportunity where theirs for the taking. So they did choke. Both Ireland and France.
At the end of the day, they weren’t good enough. However…I’m very disappointed both Ireland and France are out. I think it’s fantastic for world rugby, and the prospects of an SA ABs final is less inspiring to me. This is coming from a New Zealander. It is what it is I guess.
