      @@haroldharold2046 that's a bit of a cop out, don't you think? Wayne Barnes did not tell you to play "entertaining rugby" in the rain, did not drop the ball 12+ times, did not miss 50% of the kicks, did not tell you to kick for the touchline when given a kickable penalty, did not high tackle Jesse Kriel or illegally take Mbonambi out of the game.
      Wayne Barnes did award you a try that the TMO told him to overturn, but still went back and gave you the penalty though (not his fault you knocked that ball on) and did decide (rightly) that the ball from Telea did not go forward when it certainly looked like it had.
      To be perfectly honest, I am seeing a bit of a trend here that ultimately lead to the result... and none of it had to do with Barnes. Time for you to be honest and accept that the All Blacks could easily have won that game if they had just taken the points on offer - the points offered to them by the very same Wayne Barnes.

    I think the negative (edited)fans are ignoring the path the Boks had to reach this point. It’s quiet demanding of fans to have an expectation of what they wanted to the game to be like… these boys had to dig deep the last 3 weeks , physical, mental and emotional toughness… and it’s sad that some SA fans don’t recognize this… the team did this for us, the fans and country

    Congrats on your well earned 4th WC title and back to back WCs SA. Huge respect for the BOKKE QF, SF, F all won by 1pt! They just refused to lose the games that mattered and found a way to win every game they needed to win the WC. That's what champions do.
    Also IMO after today there is no question Siya Kolisi is the finest captain in the history of rugby union. When was appointed captain in early 2018 the BOKKE were arguably at the lowest point in their history and now they are arguably at the highest point in their history.
    He's also an absolute class individual all the time win or lose. Huge respect to everyone involved at the Boks organization since 2018 what they achieved is incredible and it insane amounts of hard work from everyone involved.

      Yes...but that's a game played by one country. It's not even an international game. Hardly comparable to rugby. Rugby has become an international game, is played in many countries, has a huge world cup, and is the fastest growing sport in several parts of the world. And it's done that by itself. The NFL is none of those things. Not to mention a kak version of rugby and a cure for insomnia.

After this game my mind set is in another place of admiration even though it was a loss because all that was needed was for that conversion to have gone through the sticks. 3 of the hardest points to win the world cup. The mental strength of this side to finish the quarter final semi final and final with 1 point. Thats just insane. The hardest path to go on to win the world cup ever in history. They are trully Legends now

    The greatest test match was "Invictus." Followed by Japan's victory over the Springboks. But Horan and Campese stand out as mercurial. Lomu a legend and Ngwenya's try along with Kirwan's try against Italy, outstanding proving that rugby can have its moments.

    I feel the foul against Bongi should’ve been a red card instead of Cane.. I felt that was more deliberate if not planned considering everybody knew we only had one hooker and our strength came from line outs and scrums… kudos to Fourie for stepping in

      I thought they had totally outlawed that type of clearout after Jack Willis was injured for 12 months while playing against Italy

    • @HungryHumbucker
      @HungryHumbucker Год назад +7

      Losing Bongi disrupted our lineouts and probably scrum as well. Those lost lineouts really broke our momentum. If indeed he was targeted, that should have been a red. What got Cane was the fact that there was NO mitigating factor. I'm sure the TMOs really did not want to give a red card in a WC final, but he gave them nothing. It was just a bad tackle.

    • @Sino_Tee
      @Sino_Tee Год назад +5

      @@HungryHumbucker100%. All the refs know the pressure that is on them. I'm sure they didn't wanna red card Cane but when you watch it back you see he legit did not even try to bend down in that tackle. Like you said, it was simply just an unfortunate bad tackle. With Siya's tackle, he bent down. Hence yellow card.

    • @LFC_RAD

      Via replay not only did he land on his knee, but when he realized he was on it he did nothing to move himself. That’s intentional to me.

    When a Springbok South African African gets to a final the out come just seems to be Win Win Win Win. Must be terrifying know for teams, the inevitable they Win finals. 4th Webb Ellis, folks just do not realise SA have only played 8 tournaments and won 4 of them, the other major teams have all played 10 know. thats an incredible state right there. Springboks where born for this tournament.
