While l like the separate dining room, having the sun blasting in there...no. Or cold in the winter. And curious how you'd get any furniture, much less a huge matress and headboard up those stairs. And screen in the porch. Flies and mosquitoes aren't fun.
The glass dining room and kitchen would be a problem to heat and cool especially where there is heavy snow on the roof. Don't like the stairs having to go under to use the laundry room. The entryway is not near the front door.
I guess the fireplace is gas. I would prefer a wood burning fireplace and the refrigerator definitely needs to be full size! It is a beautiful cottage.
I wonder, on the second floor when you have to get up from the toilet, will you hit your head against the wall (ceiling)? Looks nice, but ... Look at the 7:25. And how do you have to bend to get to the bathroom?
It's an attractive house, but it has some impractical features that could be remedied. The stairway could easily be moved to avoid those dangerous angled steps. The laundry room could then be accessed from the hallway, and reading nook could become a pantry and storage closet. The upstairs master is not private - it needs a door, and freestanding tubs are awkward to use with a shower. There is no second means of egress for this house. Glassed areas like the dining room are costly to heat and cool. In the UK, many houses have a similar "conservatory", but it's used as an optional sitting or dining area and can be closed off when weather requires.
Oh, the open mezzanine suite is fine with me. I agree with that tub needing a shower in the room too. I wouldn’t buy plans and have a contractor make major changes. If it’s not done as “discussed” you have no recourse. Architect has to deliver plans. I’ve changed kitchen cabinetry adding an island before but the bones (structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) needs to be on paper by the architect.
@@teresal5553 I was able to design my own retirement home. I gave my hand-drawn plans to my builder and he made it so! He made a few suggestions along the way, but "the bones" were essentially as I had drawn them. In another life I will be an architect. ;-)
@@Bobrogers99 That’s wonderful! Many states’ building laws require certified architects drawings on file. Taxes, taxes, taxes…ordinances, inspections and so on are horrible these days.
Not to mention putting dishes in the dishwasher from the sink is extremely awkward. You'd have to reach over the open dishwasher into the sink to put dishes in it. You need to put the dishwasher by the sink for easy access to both.
That was my immediate reaction, and then I found some other things that could and should be changed. (See my comment.) Designers often have a great idea but don't think it through. You and I should be on their payroll. ;-)
Lovely home! I'd probably change out half of those windows above the dining room into a regular roof. Such a bright and cheery home!
Perfect design. I love every detail. My wife and I will be very happy in the future when this dream home is ready.
PERFECT ❤ just enough space to be comfortable.. Y'all make it hard to decide. One day ❤
Personally, I would not change anything. Great job!
Intriguing design, and I love the park-like setting you created for your project.
Wonderful little house
Sublime concept !!! J'adore 💕 totalement !!!💚💚💚💚
This is one of the nicest one I have seen. Would have to reconfigure the stairs.
Love it, but I would prefer a wood burning fireplace and full sized appliances.
It's very nice. Well done ❤
The light in the dining room would make a wonderful solarium.
Perfect for me.
Super hisa.👌👍👌👏👏♥️
Very pretty. It needs a real fp and doe something with that stairway. 7/10

I would take a little from the front porch for a foyer.
Nice project, but I have one question. Where is utility room? ( boiler, water heater, el. panel and ets
Awesome house love it!!!!
Bella 💖

Muy coqueto confortable
Need a back door/porch for exit...only see one means of entry to house...otherwise, nice plan...

Super beautiful! 👍👍

Perfect ❤❤❤
The only thing to change. Pull the microwave from under the stove and put an oven in

Belíssima casa por favor as medidas pra jente ver
Slanted ceiling in bath ..not good if you hit your head..
Its an unusual layout with sunroom dinning area
I like this home but negotiating that narrow stairway with furniture is once again, an impossible task with the 2 turns.

Yeah. Im out on the stairs. I don't want my grandchildren doing them either
