- Welcome to a tour of Hideaway Cottage, our 3 bed semi-detached home in Leicestershire, England. My name is Angela and I live here with my husband, our two children (17 & 20) and our French Bulldog, Bentley. I enjoy all things country living and love to spend time in our walled cottage garden. I like to accumulate vintage treasures to create a family home with character. I do hope you’ll enjoy looking around!

I am at an age where I seem to be annoyed by most things, but I love everything about this video. I love the limited color palette, the way things are curated and displayed, and the outtakes. It's rare to see a space designed so that it appears to be both comfortable and chic, but your home does that perfectly. I have a similar design sense and absolutely love your home. If you all ever visit eastern Connecticut, USA, you'll have to come stay with us! (We have a historic 1790 home in a little village in the quiet corner of Connecticut and love to have visitors). 🙂

The small writing goes by too fast and is on a background sometimes that makes reading very difficult. Love watching anyway.
Your windows are so CLEAN and pretty….love it all…get your husband to pick some flowers to put in your old antique bottles by your bed!!!

I love the way you live. The cozy things added to your home. All little things that brighten up your home is very simple and elegant. I"m a 51 year old mom from Sri Lanka. Your son will find the history of Sri Lanka interesting during the period we were under british rule. I have a daughter who loves Geography. She hopes to travel the world someday. its her only dream. She too loves history about castles and old kingdoms such as egyptian dynasties. Its lovely to see people who share the same interests half way across the globe.

Such a pretty cottage. So beautiful done . I have a cottage near the sea ( two streets over) we are renovating. It’s a challenge with storage ,one has to get very creative. You have done that beautifully. I love the beams and curved walls that’s what makes it so special.
Hello Mary, oh how wonderful, a cottage by the sea, magical, we are in Leicestershire, so are right in the middle and it’s quite a drive to the seaside. Oh yes, you have to live quite minimally in a cottage, a place for everything, wishing you a lovely weekend 😊

Oh I loved this! Especially the outtakes that showed if your personality. I’d love to see more with you chatting or doing a voice over. Maybe you do do that, this is only the second video I have watched as I found you about half an hour ago, so I haven’t watched everything yet. Hello Angela, this is one of the most beautiful home tours I've ever seen, and I have seen a ton! This cottage is gorgeous and then you guys have added to it meticulously with perfect design! You really know what you like, and it shines through beautifully! This brings back beautiful memories for me because when my husband and I were young and had two small children, we lived in England in a little cottage in the countryside in Methwold for a short time. I love the way you have embraced the cottage style, but kept it very light and bright. Many of the old home restorations I see are a bit dark and oppressive for my taste. I love your home and your style!

This is one of the nicest homes I’ve ever seen ❤. I would move in in the morning and I wouldn’t change a single thing. Such a creative home, I absolutely love it and I’ve always had a thing for old cottages. Love how you left the wonky beams and used a platform for your son’s bed - real respect for an old building. Your home is so lovely and serene. I love the way you have decorated with calming blues, greens, and whites. I saw so many sandpipers that I think yo could rename it Sandpiper Cottage. It may be the most charming cottage I have ever seen. The film work was wonderful, nice and slow and picking up all of the interesting details. Very nicely done. Snug as a bug. It's hard to decorate with wonky walls. Doesn't allow you to decide what goes where. But it seems to work in the end. Lots of History here!
