I was looking for something about video editing on the SP9 and I found your video. I have rarely been as entertained and informed by a video as effectively and as engagingly as this one. I subbed immediately. Wow - what in informative and entertaining style you have. I love it. I really loved when you forgot who you are ......Being from multiple places myself - I have the same challenges, haha. I am 100% from everywhere I am from!! I am NOT half anything. Haha!! The SP9 is my favourite device for on-the-road computing. It fills the need for a quality tablet while also being a powerhouse PC. I have it connected to 2 monitors and many other devices at home, and when I go to Starbucks or somewhere else, I have this powerful PC or Netflix machine just a few taps away. I wondered about battery life, but because it can be charged by USB-C, I have a power-bank which can recharge the battery one full charge, so I have 10hrs of battery where ever I am so long as I remember to charge it before I go out - I have forgotten to do that before, but the battery had saved me haha./ I love using it, and I seem to love it more and more every time. I have the i7 and would NOT go back to using an i5 ever again. When you want the power - it is nice to have it, but I know I don't need it all the time. It is like having a fast car - most of the time, you drive at the speed limit, but when you want to overtake to get out of a situation - it is good to know you have the power to do so and get back to that speed limit just a few seconds later. When I have a bit of editing or some voice-over to process or some pics to export to batch process - I like having the power, but I don't have to do that too much. Additionally - it is a little bit of vanity because I know that the i5 and i7 perform very similarly actually - if I had the i5 and my machine became slow, I would wish I had the i7. Having the i7 and the machine slows down, I can console myself that I have the fastest they offer, haha. I am sure I am not the only one who feels that. BTW - I use it with a portable screen as well, and it works flawlessly. I can have CNN split screen with the BBC playing on an external screen (yes, I listen to both news channels at the same time) while I am creating a ppt on the main screen with Edge and 25 tabs open....with Spotify playing some relaxing background music - listening on my headphones (a bit of amultiple stimulus source geek). It is awesome and doesn't skip a beat. Thanks for the video - I agree with all the points you made - My experience bears them out.
Just got my surface pro 9.....looking back at where it all started....what a leap we have made in 10 years....cheers...oh and I got this exact forest green with colour matched type cover and slim pen 2 bundle....

wow... so interesting.. so far i often too get bored when people give explanation about ms 9..but not you.. i able to listen from begin until the end. your voice pretty good... especially when u sang..
@@MOBHouse true, i've gone through so many MS surface pro 9 vs Ipad kinda video tonight and most of the time reviewers just saying hurr durr mini led gud no context no nothing. Really a refreshing video thanks mr
No worries man. Yes, I can't deny that the iPad's screen is superior. But I also cannot deny that there are just a lot of people who would never buy an iPad for work. XD
Guys, does anyone know or used archicad on Surface pro 8 or 9? Did they add the support of multitouch screen for AC24? I read, that in AC20 you can not navigate via touchscreen even
Very much depends on your project and how heavy it is. Simple projects, no issue. If you wanna render like a high poly model, you honestly should get a desktop.
The new Surface forgo the SD card slot which is a disappointment. Also pretty expensive when RAM and storage go up. This is why start to look at Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 for my next 2 in 1.
Informative and funny video, couldn't ask for more! One question do you think that a laptop like this has longevity? Would it last (7-8years) if it gets good care, last time I had a laptop after 3-4 years of use they seamed to underperform a lot (this was 5 years ago).
I just bought one of these on ebay (refurb by microsoft) after waiting to finally buy a surface (I've always wanted one) Honestly I'm just glad i chose the 9 because it landed me on this magical mess of joy of a video 😂
Love your review I was bit confused but in India its more expensive than M2 Air, considering overall usage. I will move with Carbon or Victus atleast I'm getting double the specs and performance.
Gaming laptop berat dan takleh jadi tablet. Utk yg taknak bawa beg yg besar, ini lebih ngam. Tapi, sy pun dah cakap, benda ini premium. Macam beli LV beg. Berbaloi tak? Tgk lah taste dan budget masing2.
@huzen133 the Duet 5i is only 12.5" and the ram is DDR4 while this is DDR5. It also doesn't come with Thunderbolt ports. If you're working with the device, all these features make a big enough difference to justify the price difference.
Is the 8gb ram sufficient for regular tasks? Or do you recommend to upgrade to the 16gb? This would be my secondary laptop. Meant for surfing, office, Netflix and videos
8GB is decent. But not great. Unless you open more than 20 tabs in google chrome, you should be okay. These are high speed DDR5 RAM, so that does make a lil difference. For an ultimate work device, I would opt for the mid range model with 16GB of RAM. For your purposes, the i5 vs i7 upgrade might not make that much difference, but RAM definitely will. Once more, I need to highlight that Microsoft Surface laptops are premium work laptops that are more expensive than most work laptops with the same specs mainly because of the overall build quality and ergonomics. It's more of a - if you like how it feels (and you should try it out in a shop), you will like it when you carry with you for work.
I'm currently using 16gb. 8gb model would be a disaster if you want to connect to two monitors and use it like a desktop. It will easily run out of ram. I would def go with 16gb
obviously 16GB is better but I have the 8GB Surface Pro 9 and it has been working fine for me. It runs as fast as my work machine which is 16GB although I use Microsoft Edge browser and mainly do productivity work (Excel reporting, Powerpoint, Power BI etc).
@@kangmyungjae that's because it is using integrated graphics, which doesn't have VRAM on its own. So it resorts to allocate a fraction of system RAM for graphics. The quick fix is to increase dedicated video memory instead of buying more RAM
it is a horrible product. i always carry in a bag at the back of my car. yet first hairline cracks appeared at bottom right, then a bit later bottom left. support is refusing to replace or refund.
No offense to Fujitsu but the last time I've seen a Fujitsu laptop in Malaysia was... Never. One of the issues with work laptops is in its reliability and after sales service to shorten downtimes in case of mishaps (which happens regardless of brand and product) I would advice against buying something that does not have great track record with that. Also, lightweight while being convenient does not = quality. Quite a few of the plastic chassis laptops I've reviewed is around that weight. They are ok for their price point of around RM3-4K but I really wouldn't spend more for them. The other contenders I would look at are potentially more premium work laptops from Dell, Lenovo and HP.

I never knew how hard to shoot like that until I tried to do it myself 😂
I would argue that the lighting is just as or not more important!

I like your reviewing style 🗣️
Yo love the video as usual ! Always like to see proper opinion that doesn't just read off spec and say it's and obvious upgrade.
Thanks man. Appreciate it. IMO, you gotta judge each product by itself more vs the context of existing competition vs its predecessor.

Yea it would

I appreciate it!
Hey what's up, I saw the video an I couldn't stop looking at the wallpaper on the surface pro, is there a way you could send the link for it please.
It's from wallpaper engine and unfortunately I don't really remember the name
Great video! You are amazing!
I'll search another video review now!

Strange, I got 7823 multi core and 1443 single core in cinebench (i got i5 and 16 ram). Maybe your surface was overheat?
But still cool review
OMG, I think my team keyed in the wrong set of data for Cinebench R23. We got 7769 multi and 1502 single. Apologies!

If you're using archicad, I'd probably go for something with a dedicated GPU.
can it run 3dx max? sketchup vray? thank u

Right? Like... They gave us 2 USB C ports, that's great because maybe you might not need a USB Hub at all. But then, no SD card slot...
I like arm version misrosoft sq3
Good on you!

Lenovo Duet 5 almost similar form factor. Lebih murah. Charge guna usb type c. Keyboard can connect using bluetooth when detached which is amazing.
