For 1 second I thought this was a test- you are just comparing the spec sheet which most buyers already did. What is it with these p
Hopefully they will have 5g for the ultra tablet soon in the states
Your final assessment is spot-on based upon my experience. I have an S9 Ultra with The high-end Samsung keyboard case (the $350 USD case) and a Surface Pro 8 with the high-end Microsoft Keyboard case (Signature). For the past three weeks I have used the S9 Ultra exclusively, mostly in DEX. It is an amazing tablet, and DEX is outstanding (kudos to Samsung for developing it, good for them). In my opinion DEX is close to providing a solid platform for productivity, but is not quite there yet. Most apps seem reliable in DEX, but my most critical app, Evernote, crashes constantly (every couple of minutes): it is rock-solid in tablet mode, but when in tablet mode the screen keyboard keeps popplng up, despite my attempts to tweak settings to prevent it. Anyway, my point is that, if you depend upon the device for productivity, DEX will get you close but you will spend some time tweaking settings, and ultimately probably just accept a few bugs/crashes, strange behavior. This is aggravated by a common problem with the S9 Ultra and the high-end case: constant keyboard disconnects (every couple of minutes). It disconnects for a split second, the kb goes dark, and the screen keyboard pops-up, then it returns to normal. Many others have complained of this problem. $1200 tablet and a $350 keyboard case and still bugs like this. It's cazy. You have none of that on the SP8: it is a rock-solid productivity device.
My overall thoughts: The S9 Ultrs is an incredible Tablet and, thanks to DEX, it is a decent, although buggy and imperfect, productivity device. The SP is a good laptop, and a rock-solid productivity device, but I don't think it's worth a crap as a tablet. My hope is that Samsung continues to refine DEX and fixes the keyboard disconnect issue: if they do that I will drop MS like a hot potato and never look back.
Hey how about working office with the s9? This is my only doubt that the digital keyboard pops up everytime and that is not easy to save a file as another type of file like pdf o txt.
I sold my macbook pro m1 13 inch screen and bought my Samsung Galaxy tab s9 ultra. Sure, I have two other laptops, an old Mac book air from 2014 and an old hp omen gaming. But I use my tablet for everything. Business, social media, presentations, watching movies.... if you are invested in Android devices... like phone and TV... this is a game changer. It is powerful enough to edit 4k video... including 8k insta360 footage.
Your video editing and presentation style is so polished, plus your information is up-to-date and accurate. This channel deserves way more subscribers. Glad I found it!
There's only one option, and that's the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
As a secondary. It's limited as a primary, as it's not a full computer.
Over a $1000 for a secondary device?
@@jasminm8647it can do nearly everything that the surface can. There are literally so many apps that mimic pc apps or are android versions of pc apps. However, the surface cannot do many things that the s9 ultra can. It's limited in its abilities because Microsoft is trying to be like Apple
for student and content editor, or writer and artist. This is a fxcking full device unless we are talking about extreme gaming and video editing then nope. @@jasminm8647
Wow this is probably the best comparison/unbiased/review out here on yt!! Keep up the great work my friend
افضل مقارنة بين الجهازين. 👏 👌
The best comparison & presentation i have seen ( surface pro 9 vs tab s9 )
Excellent work and thank you 🙏 now i can choose 😊
Your final assessment isn't bad, but it assumes that most of us need the functionality of a laptop or desktop. I'd say almost no one actually needs a traditional computer on the day to day and most of us have one provided by work if we really do need it. Unless you're freelancing or own your own business, chances are low that you really can't do everything on a tablet. I, for one, don't think I've picked up my laptop in a couple of years other than to back up my photos off my phone or Google Drive and that is purely because it is faster to be able to hook my external and my phone up at the same time.
1:48 The image is of the cameras on a S8, not the S9. You got lazy with your B reel; otherwise, a solid video & good comparison. 😎
man i like your vids man your unique af & make me choose my decision 😂💯
The Problem is that in real world use the 450 nits max brightness of the surface is just not enough to work in even a tiiiiiiny amount of sunlight. ...
As conclusion : it's pointless to compare them. They're not aimed for the same use
I probably should have checked this out before buying a Tab S8 Ultra, but it occurred to me about a week later that I'd been thinking about getting a Surface a year ago back and that it probably would've cost about the same to get one of those.
Well, I DO have a desktop PC already and anything heavy-duty I do at my desk, while a laptop form factor would only be used for relatively light tasks, so I think I made the right choice - it pairs better with my phone (also Samsung), it has a longer battery life (this is important to me), and for lightweight tasks I think that Android is more comfortable to use than Windows. Finally, I think Android is an OS that I more reliably don't get frustrated at - I love many features Windows has, but it will stutter over the most random things and have absolutely nonsense bugs I can't seem to figure out all the time, and for some reason it takes like 10 seconds to wake up from sleep despite the fact that I have a pretty high-tier build that I spent weeks studying to make sure I didn't have any major part mismatches or bottlenecks.
But if I didn't have a desktop PC, and I was looking to get a "bang for buck" setup that could do everything I needed good enough? Surface is a good buy. I would rather have a desktop PC that covers my basics and also gaming, and a tablet that doubles as both an extra display and an almost-laptop, but if I could only have one device designed for keyboard use it'd be a Surface.
I think you are spot on that the tab S9 is a companion device but it should be at a companion price IE 300 - 400 less than the surface. I think the surface is much better when you compare functionality with price
I've both .. love from a government medical officer in India
If you use Dex with the surface pro, all of a sudden it can also do everything the tab s9 does.
Yeah one has a full windows 11.
Best video on this subject that I've seen......And you have a great voice for radio!
This is huge a tablet. I'd rather have connectivity than water proofing BS for a tablet
Samsung is the best
Good comparison.
Thanks for this vid. Very helpful.. i go with the surface
Very helpful video. Thank you.
Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Protective Standing Cover does it work on s9 ultra? Anyone know this?
I have the s9 ultra and I tell you that the s8 covers generally fit perfectly except for the camera hole that has to be enlarged of a couple o mm on the top side
you got me at micro sd slot.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts 😊
It's 4:27 AM in Saudi. Man that's the best thing I could start my day with. Bravooo
After Prayer of course
What a great comparison. I am subbing, ty for content!
Love your voice and comparison!
Thanks
nicely done. Thank you
Dude lives at his grandma's house. lol. Look at that decor!
I have both machines and these device comparrisons really ignore a critical difference. A mobile os vs a full on Desktop OS.
Samsung should just get Linux to run in place of Dex. Dex is ok, but it's not a desktop OS.
why should you use a tablet with pc os ? use your pc instead
@redkay7969 Because some times people need to work remotely/on the go, and the Samsung is very light weight. Unfortunately, it's very limited and won't connect to my mobile scanner, for instance. BUT it's easier/more pleasant to write on and carry about than the Surface pro.
@@jasminm8647 you missed the point
anyways use any device you feel comfortable with
there is nothing right or wrong doing it
but i feel like anything should be out in its context
if you want to work as a programmer for instance
use a pc why would you use a tablet ?
if you do art works a tablet is the better choice here
i mean use what you in need of
@@redkay7969 No, I got the point. I think you're missing that there are different types of work. 🤨 The Samsung is comfortable to write on and carry, but it's functionality is limited.
Windows sucks.
At 0:38 what keyboard is the S9 Ultra is attached to? I believe it is not the slim keyboard-case combo, it looks more massive and holds like a laptop. Do you have any idea what its called and if possible to buy?
Its the regulare one, not the slim one, from samsung
Yeah it cost like $350 though it's the one made for the s9 ultra every s9 s9plus model has its own version just a little smaller each time.
so annoying his face does not sound like his voice.
Shit general information you can easily google... More substance on your reviews pls
Samsung - Ultra S9
Wifi 6e NOT supported.
For a decent pad like this wifi 6e is a must.
A shame it does not fully support it.
For the price wifi 6e has to be rectified before I purchase this Ultra S9 tab.
Overall I like it.
I have the tab s9 ultra and it supports WiFi 6e, as I am currently connected to my own 6 GHz network
If you go to the properties of the connection - does it actually indicate 6GHz connection.
@@The_Alpha_Channel correct, if you look it up as well, you'll see results confirming the tab s9 ultra supports WiFi 6e
Friday is the day for my S9 ultra 🎉🎉🎉
