    Looking forward to your reviews around am5. Thank you for all the effort you put into the testing. 👍

    Its looking like you intend on assessing every motherboard invididually, go over the feature set, the "live behavior" and do a mega comparison round up by the end. This kind of heavy duty work is much more valuable than just more "industry insider" gossip, quibbling about ddr4 vs ddr5, blue vs red vs green or raptor lake leaks. Thank you!

    Gigabyte really amped up their designs in the last 3-4 Years! Beautiful Board!!! Used only Asus since 2011! At Christmas bought my first Gigabyte X570s Pro AX! Asus Boards went into Hilarious prices! Always had the Maximus ones for around 350$ when they went over 500$ i decided to go to Gigabyte.

    Not only are the from heatsinks ultra functional, they also make the motherboard look so much better, I genuinely love the aesthetics of the heatsink fins.

    5:35 I would've preferred those fins to be on the top of the board and open at the back so the heat can pass through and out the top of the case, and the heatsink on the left of the board be designed in a better way to allow for air to pass through to the top of the case, as it's designed the air will pass through those fins and hit the backplate with no where to go.

    Any new board I buy has to have USB 4(40Gbit) on it at these prices. The platform costs are ridiculous at launch, but hopefully they'll fall by the time the X3D CPUs drop.

    9:50 that doesn't say 28G it says 20G and the other is Display Port/10G, So the board has a USB3.2Gen2x1 USBC port (10Gigabits) and another USB3.2 Gen2x2 USBC port (20Gigabits)

    Those heatsinks are fucking huge! I wonder if it interferes with a lot of air coolers like the NH d15. Personally I would wait for the vrm spreadsheet to be updated. I did that when I bought my b450 tomahawk max so I knew it could handle the 16 core 5950x. I wonder if amd will be releasing a 24 or 32 core am5 processor or if 16 cores at 170w tdp is the highest. I game at 4k so I have no need to upgrade my cpu to anything but if I did it would be a 5950x. I'm currently focusing more on audio and other functionality for my setup. Id really like a good cheap sound bar and an sound card/audio mixer/pre amp thing. I just bought a pair of hyper x cloud 2's for $50 new and I'm excited to try them out as many people rave about how comfortable they are and their sound. I used to have audio technica m50s and they are flat and are super uncomfortable. If I don't like the hyper xs they will go back and I'll get senhesier 569s. I also just added some extra Bluetooth dongles to my pc, one dedicated to ps3 controllers and the other is for everything else. The reason being the one Bluetooth dongle had to have its drivers replaced with ps3 controller drivers for it to work properly. I would get a ps4 controller but they are so expensive. Other things I want to work on for my setup is a Bluetooth/wired hot swappable 104 keyboard. I am looking at the one from keychron but don't need a new keyboard atm so I can't justify it. I currently need a new gpu. My 1080ti can't game at 4k 60fps anymore so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a good deal on a 3080ti or something newer.

    Please motherboard producers, make right angled 24 pin connection standard on every motherboard.

    Top boards include asrock steel legend $280, aorus master $360 and the aero D $400. After that it becomes stupid price to performance. Asrock and gigabyte are winning in terms of total package.

    this motherboard only supports up to 5200mhz ddr5...why so low? theres am5 motherboards half the cost of this one that support 6600+ OC ddr5

    • @rare6499
      @rare6499 Год назад

      I don’t think it does, if you look on their website it says -
      Support for DDR5 6666(OC) / 6600(OC) / 6400(OC) / 6200(OC) / 6000(OC) / 5600(OC) / 5200 / 4800 / 4400 MT/s memory modules

    9:13 I really wish manufacturers would stop with cringey "gamer" make it go faster stripes that they also use to bump up prices with for example on this board "TEAM UP. FIGHT ON." written twice on nvme heatsink "ULTRA DURABLE PCIE GEN5 ARMOR" there is nothing "ULTRA" and the thin metal plate around the pcie x16 slot isn't really "ARMOR" the thin piece of metal costs around 1p of the sheet it comes from but we'll probably bump the price of the board around pfft I don't know $50-$70 of the total cost, the "GAMER" slogans on the metal and pointless cuts of the metal for "STYLE" that has to be another $100 right there. the board costs at most to actually make $150 which they could still get a small profit from but because of style points we'll sell it for $650
    EDIT: Just checked what the price is for this disaster of a board is (based on the awful appearance of it) and on newegg you can buy it for the sickning price of $699.99 it doesn't mention free delivery or exvat so you might actually have to pay more than that, BUT newegg does mention free returns, ALSO! it's sold out! PEOPLE ACTUALLY PAID $699.99 or more for a motherboard!
    Some people are actually ok with being bent over a barrel and getting shafted with these prices.
    This tells me that some people are even going to be ok with being shafted for $350-$450 for the B650 boards that are gimped of GEN5 support on the PCIE slots even though they are software blocked, NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE HARDWARE stopping GEN5 running on the traces AMD just wants to charge you for the use just like they did with Gen4 support on X370 and B350 X470 and B450, traces excuse was just a excuse to make fans fight for them.

    Unfortunately Gigabyte have shit on the Audio on this Motherboards even on the extreme !! No Goldplated jacks no audio input no surround output jacks and the old 10 years Realtek 1220 Sound chip !! I think now have waste my time to wait !!I go now back to Intel Z690 they have better audio solutions and is also from Gigabyte !! Very bad marketing !! The other Manufactors have the same shit audio on the x670 !!!
