In this world, there are two kinds of people: Marvel fans and DC fans. Okay, maybe that’s an oversimplification, but it seems these two companies have been against each other for quite some time. We’ll talk about the history of the feud between Marvel Comics and DC Comics, including the time Jack Kirby created a satirical comic book character based on Marvel legend Stan Lee, and this rivalry has spilled over from the pages of the comic books onto the big screen. We’ll talk about why the Avengers and Justice League took so long to happen in the comics and why it’s something we’ll probably never see in the movies.

Marvel and DC rivalry is just for getting better and better. With this rivalry they create more and more successful comics and movies. I am a Marvel fan but I love SHAZAM, Wonder Woman and Aquaman too.

I wish there were segments on the TV shows, animated series and animated movies of both dc and marvel.
Also DC and Marvel did have a short run together on Amalgam comics featuring heroes as combination of dc and marvel characters.
It was imo the best thing to happen to both comic groups. I wish they had made more. A movie or even animated feature would be amazing.

There was a Captain America film in 1944. He wasn't Steve Rogers though, they didn't respect the source material...
There were Batman, Superman, and Captain Marvel movie serials in the 1940's. The Captain Marvel production developed the flight effects later used in the Commando Cody and Rocketman serials.
The Captain Marvel in the 40's serials was the version now called "Shazam" by DC.

As fans, all of us should understand that there’s a rivalry between the two, but we should appreciate that we live in a time where we get to witness so many superhero movies, and instead of hating on one universe, we should know that we’re lucky enough that we get to watch both marvel and dc movies, and it’s a privilege to watch them, given that at some point down the road, they’re going to go away, stop hating on any of the two universes and just appreciate that we get 5 to 6 films across marvel and dc every year

Honestly I wish all of the fighting would stop. It’s pointless really. They are both very good. I’ve heard people say that Stan Lee is afraid of DC writers, but in reality he really respected them. Some of them he even new personally. The fans have really grown toxic. I like both a lot.

You forgot too mention that Zach Snyder was fired from Justice League. Add too the fact they did extensive reshoots, making it lighthearted and less dark. I'm holding out for the Snyder Cut.
Well good luck with believing in that fairytale the real reason justice league seems like a mess is really warners fault it's the mcu fanboys who ent to see dawn of justice then went on a 2 year mission to destroy the dceu and completely attack any fan of the dceu cause they can't handle someone having a new approach to the universe building and that culminated into dceu consolidating Snyder's vision for the movie into one 2 hour movie with his version being deemed unacceptable so the take him off as director and bring in joss to make it more of what the so called fans what but in the end ended up not handling actually being given what they begged for the last 2 years
You should have mentioned Dolf Lungren's Punisher movie, Blade, and Howard the Duck for early Marvel movies. They were way before Iron Man. You forgot Swamp Thing too.
@DejaVoodooDoll Yeah my bad. I meant Man Thing...All who know fear burns at the Man Thing's touch. Never heard of '70's Spidey movies but there was a TV series that lasted one season. I know about the botched FF movie and the inane Captain America movie, but nothing really until Lungren's Punisher.
Swamp Thing was a DC movie, Man Thing was a Marvel movie.
British comic company had hero with mechanical wings called Night Hawk in 1931. Original Flash was Flash Gordon in 1934 by King Features, had Hawk men in story in 1935, Wore costume with lightning bolt in 1938 serial film and in comic stripe Power Men of Mongo wore Electricians suit which had red helmet , shirt and pants and yellow belt, boots, gloves, and googles and yellow lightning bolt symbol on shirt. Later in Same year Fawcett comics Captain Marvel wore a similar costume but wore no helmet or googles and yellow gloves were replaced by yellow armbands he also added a white cape with yellow trim. All American comic company produced Flash comic in 1940 with Character the Flash (approx. 6 years after Flash Gordon and also after he wore a lightning bolt symbol and traveled fast than light except he used a space ship to do it. Hawkman also appeared in same issue 9 years after Night Hawk and 5 years after The Hawkmen in FlasH Gordon. Flash Gordon was also frozen by villain with gun that shot ice in 1939 before All American Comics had Ice sickle and before DC Comics had Captain Cold and Mr. Freeze.
but Captain Marvel was announced before Wonder Woman was. DC did beat them to the big screen but Marvel had the thought first. With everything laid out in phases, Marvel took it's time with Captain Marvel.

Mochiball if there isn't one then why is civil war a ripoff of dawn of justice that clearly has nothing to do with the civil war storyline he even admitted to it to the press that's why captain America and iron man seemingly out of nowhere break into a batman vs superman fight between each other and why the airplane hangar fight scenes is a big mess in tone

@@CaptainAmerica930 Stan Lee (4 the most part) created the bulk or at least the most popular characters at marvel DC had different creators make their heroes. The cloest DC had to a Stan Lee was Gardner Fox. He made the Flash Green Lantern (I think) and more.
DC Has Jim Lee who is very well known for His work with the X-Men and Image comics.
Because no one can equal him. R.I.P. Stan Lee.

slowly starting to prefer DC, infinity war is my favorite movie of all time, but Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Shazam were all fantastic, all better than Captain Marvel. I love Marvel too but DC has been killing it lately

@@deann4465 i think it was messed up, but I think they're definitely more organized now. I just wish the justice league had the same success that the avengers did. And the actors with the whole batman and superman thing is confusing. I hope they can figure it out and create a justice league 2 with how they've been doing things lately
@@MayoMike10 that is true too. Shazam and Aquaman were exceptionally good. But Henry Cavill leaving will only make matters worse for the justice league sequel. Since his the perfect superman by far.

All American comics had Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Justice Society, etc. They merged with National Periodical that became DC later.
I love DC to death. They have the best characters, storylines, world building, video games, and animated films imo. I like marvel too but DC has just always resonated with me

No marvel is the best and Stan lee tried to make the characters super heroes as scientifically as possible dc don’t. Also dc movies heave gone bad and are no match for the mcu
Sure, when talking about movies then Marvel obviously takes the cake. But in almost everything else DC is on top. Better comics, way better video games, and amazing animated films. In terms of tv shows, both are at least equal (Even though neither have totally good tv shows)
I agree. DC takes the time to make their heroes both inspiring and relatable while also giving us great diversity in characters and amazing stories. Marvel tends to put quantity over quality in their universe.

I started liking DC because of Aquaman, and same thing with Marvel; because of Endgame. I kinda grew up watching both DC and Marvel but i never focused on it. Those movies (Aquaman and Endgame) made me love superheroes. And yes, i'm a late bloomer but i'm still 11!
little did they know that reading comic books would be 1000 times better than what the youth is doing right now in this era
