I don't understand the part about the springs starting around 4:07. Was that included by mistake? If so you can trim it out using youtube studio.
Wish I had seen this video, I just ordered the cheap obd2 scanner. My prius is 2005 with 278k miles. Combination meter and hybrid battery were replaced march 2022. Car ran like new but check engine light just came on last week. Only real difference is mpg has gone down. I'm guessing the code I will see is the system running lean and o2 sensor. The obd mxplus is $140 well worth it!
I try to tell people and is exactly why I made this video. Got to watch out on those online watering holes, they will say anything and lead you down the wrong road since they pop up high on the search engines. I hope this video gets up there higher to help others like you is my point in the above.

Nice. My 2012 Prius 4 has been overheating. I've replace the water pump thermostat both temperature sending units. Tested all the relays and fuses. It still overheats and there is no cabin heat. I have a cheap scanner unlike yours. What do you think is causing my problems? Thanks you seem very knowledgeable.
if you replaced the water pump with an Aisin then you received a knock off unit. It wasnt until I replaced the macnetic propeller in the oem pump did all go back to normal.
Why would an Aisin pump be a knockoff? They make the OEM pumps.
