Great video! This track is one of the most deceptively challenging tracks on 150cc for me and it was fun to see your strategies to make it consistent. It might be useful to know that if you’re aligned too far to the right after the first shortcut, you can also drive straight into the ice, start your drift when landing, and still get a MT trick. It takes a good understanding of drifting to be able to commit enough to charge the MT, but I find it more consistent personally.
Every time I try to get a good time, my time is at most about five seconds away from world record times, even with these guides. I can't figure out why.
They're building turbos faster and soft drifting better. You also gotta remember you're not the best player in the world and getting close to the world record is already impressive.
Without seeing the run it’s hard to say. I’d suggest joining a time trial server or speed running server and posting a run there so you can get some feedback
Hey Bayesic, your guides are always easy to follow and polished. Can't wait for the next dlc now. I'm curious, have you played CTR Nitro Fueled? Very different but a heck of a lot of fun in time trails as well
@@Bayesic Yeah it would be great to see you play it. I was on it constantly when it came out. It's so technically different and that's what makes it interesting, plus it provides various time trail ghosts to keep you busy, and whoa the developer time trails were tough lol. Can't wait to see you try it
100% TT is the best way to win against real people, I'm not really great at item management, or wall cancels, but doesn't matter when you can run the front like a boss.
After running this a ton I ended up skipping the third and fourth ramps in the first shortcut and for the last shortcut, I did an MT beforehand to make the double trick consistent. I think it's my third least favorite track, but time trialing it made it easier. The dang shortcut has got to be one of the hardest intended shortcuts in the game (that and Ribbon Road's ramps). I think the ice theme is generic, there's zero obstacles in the road, and the two path theme isn't that interesting, which is why it's one of my least favorite.
This track is probably one of the main 3 or 4 that led to Wiggler Shroomless, since a prominent Japanese player (Purple) was practically a specialist at it. After all, is the mushroom usage on the track really all that necessary to practice for an online player? Since Alberto's shroomless run is Baby Daisy as well, people were far and away using Purple's Wiggler Shroomless time as their metric of comparison over anything else.
probably the least helpful of your vids i've watched, provides very little guidance about how to execute other than "do this then that" with not enough fallbacks
One of my favourite tracks tbh. It just feels good to pull off the shortcuts here online or time trials.
The visual cues are super helpful for me to remember when I'm gaming on the couch with my homies. Thanks Bayesic!

Ah nice I’ll have to test that out!
And agreed this track is way harder to optimize than it looks at first glance
I always hate this track, and keep falling while trying the shortcuts but with your tuto i Start to appreciate the track ! Ty and gg
Thanks so much, i got 1:57:736! I'll take this online and see how I do, the bayesic training truly helps!
Bayesic your videos have helped me improve so much! Would you ever do a Q&A so we can learn more about you?
I have a couple Q & A videos floating around somewhere; I believe I have a 1k sub one and… another one lol I forget
Very Helpful Thank You

I have not but I’ve had more than one of my viewers tell me that I need to get on that, which I definitely plan to at some point

I love how i always dominate this track online, because of the shortcuts.
Another excellent tutorial on one of my favorite tracks in the game!
It’s awesome!
Shortcut is driving me insane at 200cc

I have a lot of nostalgia for this course back when I used to run it with bowser and mr. scooty

Yeah I hate this track
Yeah like I said I’m more consistent with the UNINTENDED shroomless cut on shy guy falls than I am with this shortcut lol. It’s a huge pain in the ass

Yeah I always compare check out wiggled shroomless rubs for alternate strats and what not
I just never get the exit to the shortcut 😂 But also works without.
was wondering if your nickname is inspired from Bayes in probability theory
Yup haha. Stats major in grad school :-)
@@Bayesic oh a fellow stat mate then 👋

That’s because he’s using DK and not our boy, Waluigi.
skill issue
That's why I'm here
